Ancient keys of wisdom

FullSizeRender 3The Philosopher’s Stone

Quick reading for Venus square Saturn.

Saturn is the restriction, the slowing, perfecting, deepening, building, work, time, and the aged sage.
Venus is love, art, social graces, kindness, beauty, finery, flattery, money, trades and partnerships.

Squares indicate inner turmoil that leads to intense growth as we work to use the energies wisely.  Internal metamorphosis.

Reading purpose: to identify what we collectively need to ponder for personal enlightenment, highest growth.
1 Card above is Saturn – the stuck place.
2 Card below is Venus – the giving place.

1 Contrast: (card number 17 or 8)
Seeing the differences, comparing, compensation of energies.  This is further highlighted by 8: gains and reversals, regeneration, Samsāraor continuous flow.
Saturn in higher mind Sagittarius focuses exploratory student/teaching, learning, philosophies – particularly while Jupiter is Rx in Leo.  We compare and contrast former versions of ourselves – what is working and what is not.  Change is imminent, a decision comes.

2 Ereshkigal – Sumerian Goddess of the Underworld.
This goddess is queen of death; descent followed by resurrection.  She, with the face of a lizard, holds burial gifts.  She is derived from a Mesopotamian funerary figure 1K years older than the cities of ancient Sumer.  She is from a time when Above and Below were not so separated.

No one may return to the land of the living.
No one can rule both Above and Below.

Trust the insights that emerge from your depths, subconscious seas hold many keys to unlock ancient doors of wisdom.  Know thyself.

Pisces is strong: Venus (exalted), Mars, Neptune (ruling) and Chiron (the healer) are in the sign of healing, cosmic connections, day & night dreams.  Follow where intuition leads: know your surroundings and see the patterns emerge,

Keep digging, for discoveries are near, but deep.  Know your deal breakers, be aware others have them as well and act accordingly.

Earth healing is magickal at this time.  Clay, tree, root and stone.
Cleansing via 7 day burial of sacred objects is recommended, as are Earth offerings.
Energy clearing.

Today’s questions:
1 – Best Pisces Moon emo focus for most positive growth. (above)
2 – How to best ground Pluto in Capricorn, our singular earth energy. (below)

Combustion
Kundalini flare.  Pisces influence comes in waves, particularly with Moon waxing.
Sensitivities hightened by Aquarius energy Sun/Mercury/Venus opposing Jupiter in Leo, shifts in the balance between inspiration and the lower and higher mind (Mercury and Jupiter both Rx).

Actions of another are lighting fuses in houses Aquarius and Leo.

Knowing of the Heart.
Personal Aura.
Exploring energies.

Combustion is short-lived.
Hair trigger actions will and do happen with Uranian energy buzzing – these shifts of perspective need to happen for they are signposts to insights we don’t normally see or feel.  Fog lifts…
We SEE what needs to change.
Acknowledge, accept, acclimate.

Know what you are setting fire to before you light the match.
Have patience. Think twice.

Jan 20 New Moon 0 degrees Aquarius
7:14am Chicago

Jan 21 Mercury retrograde in Aquarius at 17 degrees
February 11 Mercury at 1 degree (out of shadow March 4)

New Moon in house Aquarius brings new intellectual and emotional beginnings, particularly with Moon conjunct Sun both quintile Uranus (rules Aquarius and this New Moon).  Here is a gift from the universe, a spiritual talent to be expressed – look to your houses of Aquarius and Aries for more clues.

New Moon/Sun sextile Saturn in Sagittarius shoots a beam of invention, creation and new possibilities into envisioning work.  Manifestation is limitless in the mind’s eye of Sagittarius, and it begins with having some fun and getting out of old environs, blowing the cobs out.  Shift stagnant energetic perspectives by driving a new route or changing the stuff that surrounds you in your environment.  Creative polarity shifts are further highlighted by Uranus in trine to Jupiter Rx in Leo.

Mercury stationing retrograde near this lunation delivers more perspective shifts – inward focus will be the reinvention, reintegration of mind, messages, where we have become too fixed in mindset will become more obvious as the retrograde works its magick in Aquarius, the house of allies, wishes, angels and fellowship.

Note also Uranus is square Pluto with one more hit left to go, on March 17, card below speaks to the metamorphosis inherent to this aspect.

Now for the card pulled for perspective shifts/insights.
Nef: Bennu: The Family of Wind
“To Shine, To Rise”

Bennu is the Phoenix, the elixir of immortality, the quintessence of physical rebirth, rising from the alchemical furnace.  It represents a new condition, new beginning.
The sacred Heron of Heliopolis, it was later called phoenix (see Pluto) by the Greeks.  Bennu is the soul of Ra, Sun God, guide to gods in the Duat.

Also of note: the planet Venus was called the “star of the ship of the Bennu-Asar” mentioned as the morning star in this invocation.  I am the Bennus, the soul of Ra, and the guide to the gods in the Tuat; let it be so done unto me that I may enter like a hawk, and that I may come forth like the Bennu, the Morning Star.

Hawk totem here.
Heron totem here.

This card symbolizes great purity and being free as a bird.

This has been on my mind the last couple of days…

::::::::
Ride out to meet them
is one answer, but another ?

How does one break into the heart of those who only see one way, are so close-minded they want to block a young girl from school or kill cartoonists ?

Otter: Find some source of joy and capitalize on it.  Everyone has at least one thing they love, enjoy or escape to in times of pain.  Friendship for hate, play for anger and protection where there is fear.

Raven: Ahhh…the Trickster, the Mercurial messenger that sees many sides and uses them to their fullest potential.  Corvids use tools, totem here, they are very intelligent and fly between worlds delivering messages.
Hugin and Munin (Thought and Memory/Mind) were the ravens that whispered into the ear of the Norse God Odin while he hung upside down from Yggdrasil, (The World Tree) for nine days and nights in order to gain shamanic insight.
Raven communicates deftly across cultures and space-time.
Those with Mercury highly aspected exhibit the same qualities.  Raven scavenges remains for sustenance, everything is noticed, used.

FullSizeRender 3

Touch and Taste: Physical connection, contact and also creation.  Hands (Mercury rules hands and sensations) are capable of transferring huge amounts of energy from all chakra points via Reiki, massage – hands create craft, sculpt, sign and play music.

Touch is the least deceptive of all the senses as it is grounded in material earth.  Babies sense everything as they learn their surroundings, crawling and tasting and touching everything.  Raven here delivers sense of smell and taste or in my mind, Smiles.

This is the universally understood gesture across cultures and creatures.

I have saved it all these years for this article alone.
Virgo rules small animals, Neptune, big ones.

Bending the Rules

FullSizeRenderSherlock Holmes Tarot

Investigations on Pluto in Capricorn square North and South Nodes of Destiny aka Future/Past and the metamorphosis inherent within making choices heading into Mercury Rx.
What do we need to know that will lead us to our conclusion ?
(Note: South Node is conjunct Uranus)

Peeler: Suit of Analysis
Kindness and sympathies aroused while deception takes place. (Lady Hilda has used fainting as a ploy to steal documents on the sly !)  This card points to a champion willing to bend rather than break in order to reach a harmonious outcome.
Bending the (Capricorn) rules to suit the sitch.  Analysis re: a merger or union. Guile and cunning
permeate the Plutonic situation, no surprise if you understand the workings of sleuth, stealth and metamorphosis.

Be on the alert for illusion, deception and treachery.  Be choosy in what is revealed, also what is believed.

Matasignais = the moon in autumn.

Daughter of water = receptivity, clairvoyance, fantasy and heightened imagination.  A vulnerable adolescent girl full of dreams and visions who is awakening to sexuality.

Blood & Water.

What I love most about this card is the intellectual/emotional elements combined aka Moon (now emo, dark and very yin) conjunct Uranus the inventor/enlightener lightning bolt of a new world cracking open below and within us.

Uranus direct on the 21st –
Ozone crack of electric messages incoming.  Surprises abound, perspective shifts are prolific !

FullSizeRender 5Njord = Goddess of Sea and Ship

Twilight time of truth.
Dark Moon coupled with rigidity.
This is navel gazing at it’s finest !
Plutonic abyss in tandem with Venusian balance = the loving metamorph.

This snake has dual potential: poison or pleasure.
Venus conjunct Pluto is choice.
Loss but also Gain.

Pluto conjunct Venus in structured Capricorn, Mercury also in Capricorn with Sun on the way with New Moon in Capricorn at zero degrees.

Ahem.
Plutonic degree !
Zero is a doorway, a portal, an empty vessel holding space, the Alpha and the Omega, the breath of God.
Void & Nirvana

Note this card is the vibration of Neptune & Pluto.  Wildly magnetic and full of secretive stealth.
This is a calm and a storm.

The disc of the Moon holds the eye of self-knowledge and inner vision.

The Eye

FullSizeRender 4Thoth

Contemplation of Venus conjunct Pluto 3 degrees of separation, or if you are like me with an 8th house Venus (Scorpio/Pluto is natural 8th house) we are at perpetual zero, full immersion.

Venus in Scorpio/conjunct Pluto/8th house is not for the faint of heart – Fair Warning.

This queen is water of water – psychic perception, psychological depth and packing a plethora of passions.  This one is unafraid of feelings, she is fond of provoking with a firm hand – she is magnificent with mystery and manipulation.

Still waters run deep and mystical, she is receptive and reflective, infinitely subtle – the pure lotus of calm, the eye of the storm born from the defiled.

Reborn is the star-goddess of unlimited possibility – she wrestles with material plane points of view.  The eternal coming and going of energies in motion and play.  Born of Fire.

Final decision in respect of the past, new current in respect of the future; always represents the taking of a definite step.

Benefits & Gratitude

imageMary El Tarot

Apologies, slowing in posts as my mother (Moon) was having surgery. (All is well, thank you.)  Of course we are heading into a Gemini Full Moon, Mars in now in Aquarius, Uranus Pluto square :exact: grows stronger (15th, more here) and Saturn is in the last degrees of Scorpio aka saturation.

Mars supports early degrees fire sign points – they feel a big boost in energy while Saturn grinds away/tests the last degrees of all fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius increasing the friction.  Full Moon Messeges are all over the shop: breathe deeply, take in more info, breathe out.  Gemini rules the lungs – focus on the breath helps calm all the nervous energy buzzing round.

The card above was drawn for the changing energies listed above.
Identify, investigate, integrate.
Highest most benevolent outcome for everyone.

The crucible of reconciled halves.
This card is based on Baphomet by Eliphas Levi.
Hermaphrodite twins, caduceus, light and dark moons.
Facing the inner animal nature can be the truest test for it is only YOU left to bless or to blame YOURSELF.  Squares inherently hold this energy for they take place on the inner landscape – they are inner friction leading to massive changes/growth – when handled correctly they can be more powerful than trines !

The artist notes a lesson via Joseph Campbell:
If you cross a threshold and are not ready, the gods will appear as devils.
True.

This card represents realizing how to integrate all the elements: Fire, Earth, Air, Water.
Knowing and working with all the elements present in our world/vibration creates a balance in the natural order of life.

Layers of conscious/subconscious are meeting each other toe to toe/eyeball to eyeball with many planetary energies changing signs, elements and vibrations.  Saturn in the last degrees of Scorpio digs especially deep into the mines revealing what is buried and needs to be purified. Keep in mind Saturn in Scorpio is also in supportive mutual reception with Pluto in Capricorn – they are in each other’s (ruling) signs working together, assisting each other.

All manner of past, time, fathers, authority and demolition/rebuilding are taking place within and without.  Much of this metamorphosis is tangible, visible on  the material plane – though be aware – much is also hidden.

This card represents the inner wild animal meeting the inner tamed human – the alchemy that inherently exists within, the kundalini force of power that begins in the root and ascends.  Such is the material plane, life on earth school, lessons of contrast and the reconciliation of opposites

This card indicates swift fulfillment of material world gain/lessons.  Reaping benefits and gratitude for same.  Discernment, discretion, discipline, self-mastery and self-reliance.
This card carries the vibration of NINE.
