There are a multitude of micro/macro perspectives to be gleaned from one natal chart.

It is very similar to reading a 36 card Grand Tableau where each card lands on a house, connects to another card on another house…all forming energetic connections, a web  that begins to take shape and flesh out the bones of the story.
Shift focus onto another card, the story also shifts focus.
Reading cards or charts is akin to seeing shifting rainbow facets of a crystal prism. 

I read Mark’s natal and see Mark’s life journey.
I read Mark’s natal and I also see the journey of Luke.

Mark is a Libra Sun/Saturn, Leo Moon, Capricorn rising, Neptune at MC.
North Node in Pisces further indicates work in the creative arts is a natural choice.
As does Mars/Pluto in creative Leo, a signature of creative drive/metamorphosis, particularly in the 8th.

Uranus is in Moon-ruled Cancer conjunct DC in the 7th forming the focal point of a T-Square with Jupiter Rx in Aries opposite Neptune as well as Sun/Saturn in Libra.
The need for creative freedom in relationships, both intellectually (3rd/9th axis) and emotionally (Cancer) is highlighted with this placement.  Communication is paramount with oppositions falling across the 3rd/9th house axis.

One way out of that tough T-Square is Aries Jupiter trine Leo Moon – learning creative flexibility. Moon sextiles Sun/Saturn elevated, allowing a way around the mountain or(Saturnian restriction to spirit/Sun), if you will.
Another way out is a sextile from Cancer Uranus to Virgo Mercury (strong, it rules) or inventive thought, or in Mark’s case, building (Virgo Venus out of sign conjunct Leo Mars) not only a career in film, but also a rich career in voice work.

I also popped in asteroid 8958 Stargazer, for my fave scene (I’ll pop it in comments) where Luke watches the binary sunsets on Tatoonie.  Asteroid Stargazer is just what it sounds like, named in honor of amateur astronomers who love to gaze at the heavens.  Mark has Stargazer in Gemini (ahem binary) trine Neptune (film) in Libra at MC, square Mercury in Virgo (he doesn’t have to say a word in that scene, we totally get it).

1 Mark’s Chiron is tightly conjunct the Galactic Center in expansive, higher minded Sagittarius and rising aka strong. 
2 North Node of Destiny in Pisces (cosmic healing) is quintile (special talents, genius expression) Chiron in Sagittarius.
3 Leo Mars is in harmonious trine to Galactic Center, quintile Fortuna in Scorpio 10, art changing how the world sees USE of personal power.

First, Chiron interp, then GC.

Chiron is the wounded healer, teacher / philosopher / healer who through learning how to deal with his own pain, gained vast knowledge in herbal medicines, ethics and fighting.  Chiron trained heroes.
Chiron in Sagittarius trains a LOT of them.
Just sayin’.

To interpret anything, you first have to know what it is.
The Galactic Center is about 27,000 light-years from Earth, (see our Sun near the Orion spur above) filled with dust, gas, 22 million red giant stars and a supermassive black hole called  “Sagittarius A”.  Not unusual, scientists say black holes are at the center of most galaxies.

This Chandra X-Ray image (above) shows three massive star clusters: the Arches (upper right), Quintuplet (upper center), and the GC star cluster (bottom center), which is near the enormous black hole known as Sagittarius A.  Cool, yah ?!

A black hole is mass is packed into a tiny volume, squished to its ultimate density.  Black holes create stable deformations in the fabric of spacetime that affects matter moving around them.* Gas swirling around a black hole acts like the record needle, but instead of producing specific sounds, it produces certain frequencies of X-ray light. *First clue.
X-rays consist of electromagnetic radiation of wavelengths shorter than those of ultraviolet rays and longer than those of gamma rays.

E magsScientists think that gas particles moving in warped spacetime near the black hole exhibit two types of motions, each giving rise to a unique frequency. One motion is the orbital motion of the gas as it goes around the black hole. This produces the 450 Hz frequency. The lower 300 Hz frequency is caused by the gas wobbling slightly due to the spacetime deformations. source

So how to interpret Galactic Center ?

First we are in a barred spiral, the bulge (central) stars are normally older red stars,  dating back to our galaxy’s beginnings 13.2 billion years ago.  These stars lack heavy elements needed to create planetary systems and life as we know it.*
*That’s the second clue.
I mentioned frequencies scientists find shooting out of black holes above. Sagittarius A is supermassive, likely producing 300 – 450 Hz (+ ?) as well. 

The frequencies for each chakra energy center are:
Root – 256 Hz
Sacral – 288 Hz
Solar Plexus – 320 Hz
Heart – 341 Hz
Throat – 384 Hz
3rd Eye – 448 hz
Crown – 480 Hz

Of the six holy frequencies (ravi solfeggio here) 431 to 600Hz is associated with whole brain quadrant interconnectedness, connecting relationships. Sounds like a singularity  to me.*  You ?  More on chakras here.  *Third clue.

You can see from the electro-mag diagram above the visible light spectrum is just a small fraction of the information incoming that we are currently able to consciously process without technology.  Advancements in science have allowed us to communicate globally, see through matter (X-rays), presumably when conscious energy reaches gamma and upward we can experience time / space / dimensional singularity as well.*
*Four.

Boiled down, my interpretation of Galactic Center is:
Information incoming/outgoing, lots more information still out there/in here.
Spacetime / mind over matter.
Curious exploration coupled with optimism.
Wisdom through experience, and all that implies.

Mark’s Chiron conjunct GC, Leo Mars trine, and N Node quintile ?
I see the Jedi Master plain and simple.

Mark brought the role of Luke Skywalker to life – that character, and his struggle to expand his perceptions captures the hearts, minds and imagination of anyone who has ever hoped and dreamed of learning, seeing, and being MORE.
Luke embodies the hero’s journey we all are on in some form or fashion.

We all strive to connect cosmic meaning to everyday existence – impatiently so, which is largely why our Earth is in such a mess today – desires run rampant rather than sense.  Once Luke makes peace within himself, he begins to make peace with everyone else – he becomes the hero in his own story.

Like I said in post 7 (Solo), (Vader here) Star Wars changed my life.  As far as posts go, I am nearing a grand, I wanted to wait until the universe moved me to write this very special one.  Mars is coming to conjunct Mark’s Sun; Pisces Moon/Chiron are smack on his N Node in Pisces.  Now might be a good time to mention Mark’s Jupiter is conjunct my Saturn Rx in Aries, just like both Doctor Who and my former husband.  It is a fantastic, hopeful, buddy on tour energy that really helps me keep going in dark times, I am not surprised my first Jedi has this gift for me !

A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind.

So I promised to tell you how I see Luke in Mark’s chart.
Uranus in Cancer (separation from home, family, mother – yes Mark also moved house many times while young, see how astro switch hits ?!) Uranus also rules adoption, and Luke was secreted away to live with his Uncle Owen on Tatoonie after Leia died.  Mark’s MC – Neptune aka the hidden, also spiritual intelligence aka Jedi. Uranus rules rebels – in Cancer, Luke’s family is full of ’em.

Surprise ! (Uranus) your quirky new droid (also Ura) has a message (sextile Mercury). You don’t know it yet (surprise/ knowing/Uran), but that hot chick is your twin (Mercury again, rules Gemini) sister.

Leonardo da Vinci was an amazing Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer.  and that is just scratching the surface…

He conceptualized a helicopter, a tank, concentrated solar power, a calculator, the double hull and outlined a rudimentary theory of plate tectonics, and drew one of the first scientific drawings of a fetus in utero. (wiki)

Taurus Sun with Toro Venus in applying trine to Neptune in Libra at MC, genius creative expression !  Sagittarius rising – expressive and expansive – Jupiter is in Pisces 3rd of learning conjunct Moon.

Aquarius Mars trine Saturn exalted in Libra 10th: Leonardo was an idea machine – invent, conceptualize, research, sketch, design and build futuristic machinery.

Eighth house Pluto and Uranus – highly observant – he learned anatomy in detail through dissecting cadavers (Venus quintile Pluto).  He drew detailed bone studies, and the pregnancy drawing you see above, as well as detailed drawings of architecture, water devices, animals, faces of rage, deformities, and machines of his own design.

Saturn in 10 wants to know how everything works, Neptune at MC absorbs the world like a sponge.  Neptune and Saturn in 10 are both opposite Aries Mercury in 4. Mercury trines Leo Pluto – he certainly changed the world through creative expression.

Curiously, most of Leonardo’s writings are in mirror-image cursive, perhaps it was easier because he was left-handed, or maybe it was for reasons of secrecy, perhaps both, no one knows.

As you can see, his drawings and sketches were extremely detailed and highly researched – Virgo precision at MC and Aries Mercury in trine to Pluto in Leo.

The animation above delineates the sacred geometry of the golden rectangle, which is more easily seen in colored portions below.

Da Vinci and others (including the architect Palladio) helped to revive this knowledge of sacred geometry and its application after the so-called “Dark Ages.”

Apart from the monks in Ireland, most of the older knowledge was preserved by Arabic culture that translated older Greek and Roman works into Arabic. These works were retranslated back into Latin and other European languages by scholars working in cross-cultural universities in renaissance Spain.

You can see above the geometry da Vinci applied to sketching human faces.  Obviously mirror image writing and building with polarities (Uranus sextile Venus in 6th) appealed with Mars in Aquarius in trine to Saturn in the tenth of achievement.

This mathematical precision (sacred geometry) is applied to Mona Lisa below, I am sure there is another for the Last Supper floating around as well.  I will look, pop into comments.

Which brings me to the point of this post. 
Mercury is numbers, counting, perceptions.
Saturn is mathematics.

Saturn

is form and matter – the building blocks – earth plane..

Uranus is the higher octave of numbers, counting and perceptions.

Uranus is spirals.
The geometric electrical energy grid that connects all life on earth.

Which leads me to believe Uranus rules sacred geometry as well as Saturn.

Way of the Dragon, indeed.
Born in the hour of the dragon, in a metal dragon year – double dragon is extremely powerful, very auspicious.  Dragon rules the energetic morning hours between 7-9am.  Unpredictable, ambitious, opinionated, outspoken and lucky are traits of dragon hours.

Metal dragon of 1940 is a gleaming sword.  Future – oriented, decisive and natural – born leaders, metal dragons are fair and honest.  Lessons to learn are tact, flexibility, relaxation.

I haven’t been as stunned by a natal chart since I saw the grand water trines of Nostradamus.

Bruce Lee’s powerful Pluto is packing a punch as focal planet of several T-Squares.
Pluto forces the personal will and outward energies of Mars  to a higher octave.

Pluto is divine will – implosive power and force channeled, focused into explosive extremes of energy that manifest in outward metamorphosis.

Bruce channeled this magical transformative Plutonic energy into extraordinary physical prowess.  Onscreen he led the globe to recognize the spiritual beauty and grace of martial arts.

Born in San Francisco and raised in Hong Kong, Bruce had appeared in 20 films by age 18.  Bruce moved back to the states when he turned 19, majoring in philosophy at the University of Washington, Seattle.

In later years he practiced, taught and wrote of the evolution of his way of martial arts, which he called Jeet Kune Do, “The Way of The Intercepting Fist.”

Bruce read and wrote extensively his thoughts about physical combat, the psychology of fighting, the philosophical roots of martial arts, and about motivation, self-actualization and liberation of the individual. (source)

Bruce Lee was a 12th house Sagittarius Sun, Scorpio Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars.
Intense, unusual spiritual quest was definitely on the menu with this 11th house stellium. Nearly all his personal planets are ruled by his focal planet, Pluto.

Bruce was creative power incarnate.  Leonine Pluto taps into the center of being , the power of WILL in tandem with the strength of the heart: spirit, honor, kindness and generosity.

His winning card – Sag in 12th has secret allies – his Sun is trine the house Sun naturally rules, Leo.  He shines brilliant spiritual fires of the phoenix from a dark well of Plutonic power which rests on the 8th, the house Pluto naturally rules.

Stealth in the 12th ~>  Sag Sun trines Pluto: his aim to bring spiritual insight to the masses – a public display of personal power controlled, harnessed ~> superhuman force applied with spiritual discipline to achieve enlightenment and transcend personal limitations.  Note Sun quintiles MC as well.  Mars rules his creative 5th house: action hero, onscreen.

Taurean Uranus trines Virgo Neptune in the 10th at MC – earth plane manifestation of unusual zen principles – martial arts philosophy was woven into his daily life, spirituality was Bruce was spirituality.  Graceful precision of movement on film was his destiny.

Libran North Node quincunx Saturn, quite possibly he knew the toll intense overwork (Saturn conjunct Jupiter) would have on the physical vehicle, but felt he was unable to comply with normal standards of rest.  He needed to share, he sought peace and balance through work, his art.  Uranus is restless in Venus- ruled Taurus, stillness must be continually cultivated, and it does not come easy.

Bruce had Uranus quintile Pluto – his talents and spiritual gifts had a profound impact on the world – he helped introduce gung fu to the world through teaching martial arts.

Frank.
The world always needs more Frank.  Frank was a flat-out genius musician, an outspoken intellectual known for cutting straight thorough BS mass media rhetoric and speaking the truth.  No great surprise he was a Sagittarius rising with a 29 degree Sagittarius Sun, chart ruler Jupiter in the creative 5th house.

Frank released more than 60 albums, counting both his solo work and his work with the Mothers of Invention. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.

His lyrics—often humorously—reflected his iconoclastic view of established social and political processes, structures and movements. He was a strident critic of mainstream education and organized religion, and a forthright and passionate advocate for freedom of speech, self-education, political participation and the abolition of censorship. First things first.
When I learned astrology, I went looking for oddballs (compliment) and their aspects.  I dig music, so Frank was at the top of my must know list. When I saw Frank’s 5th house, I immediately thought brilliant ! aural textures !

Frank was a master of layered sounds.  Once you hear Frank Zappa, there is no mistaking why musicians were lining up to collaborate with him.  Aside from the fact that you knew you could count on artistic genius – everything else – tempos, lyrics and the range of sounds were completely unpredictable and wild.  Each moment was totally up for creative theatrical grabs, each piece, rich with sensual crescendos and assaults.

Zappa considered soloing as the equivalent of forming “air sculptures”,and developed an eclectic, innovative and highly personal style. (wiki)

Frank’s music and philosophical vision was a cosmic wake up call to both musicians and the public.  (Uranus trine Moon – Neptune conjunction at MC)  He inspired artists around the globe (North Node of Destiny in Libra 10 conjunct MC) to do their own thing and do it well.  (Leo Pluto trine Sagittarius Venus)

To the delight of music fans everywhere, Frank went to bat against Tipper Gore and the Parents Music Resource Center in 1985.  He testified before the United States Senate Commerce, Technology, and Transportation committee. He was brilliantly succinct* and fair in his assessment of the proposed PMRC labelling music ‘sexually explicit’ or ‘satanic’ : “…in this context, the PMRC’s demands are the equivalent of treating dandruff by decapitation … The establishment of a rating system, voluntary or otherwise, opens the door to an endless parade of moral quality control programs “. For the record, when Frank testified, tr. Uranus was coming to conjunct his Sagittarius ascendant; tr. Sun and Mercury were conjunct his Virgo Neptune – Moon conjunction at MC*, and tr. Moon and Saturn were conjunct his Scorpio Mars.  haha take that PMRC !

Sun at the 29th degree of culmination in Sagittarius is visionary, trine his chart ruler Jupiter in conjunction with Saturn in 5th and we have precise execution of expansive philosophies made manifest on the earth plane.  Frank shunned the typical excesses of the late 60’s (hallucinogens) and instead turned his Jupiter in sensate Taurus to crafting sonic masterpieces – 30 years worth of musical innovation (Uranus quintile Leo Pluto which trines Venus).  One thing about (long-term career-driven) Saturn conjunct Jupiter – especially in Taurus – it is work and lots of it.  Ok, one more thing – hairy + that is one crazy head of hair with Uranus in 5th. Check out this quote: “Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.”  Perfect for his 5th, yes..? haha This conjunction falls in his 5th, so Frank’s work was actually a labor of love and tons of fun.  personal aside: I must admit, I am growing fond of Jupiter conjunct Saturn folks – they are strict, but fair.  They are honest and they cut to the chase already – soOo refreshing !

Mercury as leading planet (oriental), conjunct Ascendant in Sagittarius 1st house is strongly intellectual, articulate and vocal regarding opinions and philosophies – in square (along with Sun) to Moon (public) and Neptune in Virgo; insightful, detailed and precise, bucking the national trend of delusion.  Frank was well-known as a family man with a strict work ethic who was quite vocal about his viewpoints.  He ended up a spokesperson, though this role likely did not set too well with him (Sun square Moon) – what he really wanted was everyone (Jupiter – Saturn conjunction square the Plutonian masses) to collectively get with the program and get politically involved.

How appropriate that Frank has an asteroid named after him – and that it is in his Neptune ruled 3rd house. (Gemini and Mercury naturally rule and they equal names) Indeed with natal (Mercury-ruled) Virgo Neptune conjunct Moon and MC:  the Internet campaign to name the asteroid, which apparently was the first worldwide on-line petition, involved Zappa fans in 22 countries and produced the most people supporting an asteroid’s name, according to the International Astronomical Union (IAU). (source)  Zappa is exactly conjunct my Uranus in Virgo. cool.

Frank also had Vesta or what I call the ‘fire in the belly’, (the passionate torch carried within) – at the saturation degree of creative Leo in trine to his powerful Sun in 1st. Sun rules Leo, so this is obviously beneficial.  Melpomene, the Muse of Music also breathes fire into his Leo creativity.  Chiron the centaur philosopher healer conjunct metamorph Pluto in Leo which trine Venus and Mars – Frank worked a charm on artists and showed them the way to actively create art for arts sake alone – not solely for profit !  (Venus in Sagittarius 12th)  North Node in Libra 10, and Frank was here to learn and project fairness, balance and creativity to the whole world.
Well done, sir.
