bare bones

Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape.   – Bell Hooks

Moon into Capricorn.
Feel like being left alone in the quiet to work ?
The time is right.

Moon moves to conjunct Pluto, which means she will square Uranus in Aries as well.
Incoming emotional overhaul with some brainiac storms brewing – laying new tread to far distant horizons. [stress and progress lies in your Aries & Libra houses]

Sagittarius Mars is moving to oppose Jupiter Rx in Gemini, so introspection and culling your excess brain baggage is primo !

Late degree Libra Sun is finding her balance while Venus sextiles Mercury and North Node of Destiny in Scorpio.  Insights on future loves, money and creative paths are unfolding at your feet.

Saturn, Mercury and North Node in Scorp : Saturn and Pluto in mutual reception.

Scorpio lives in the deep dark waters, intense desires are primal, pulsing, but lurking . . . they remain unspoken.  Scorp energy holds it close to the vest.

Listen closely for what is not said – actions speak louder.  Body language is an immediate tip off.  Saturn in Scorp is a crash course in how to create and retain boundaries.  So while you are watching the body language of others, you may want to be aware of your own as well.   Mercury in Scorp = keen insight.

You also may want to .ahem. bone up on your Indiana Jones bullwhip techniques.
Saturn rules whips and Pluto, sex….for those of you interested, that is.

Early degree Scorpio Saturn trines Chiron Rx in Pisces.  Heal your body through balance.  Balance of mind, ambition and desires.

I have been culling massive amounts of notes, and this Uranus Pluto square : with Pluto in my first house : is ripping up turf right and left.
Pluto is changing everything – absolutely everything in my 1st and 7th houses.

Plus a whole bare bones new mindset – Pluto is squaring my Saturn Rx in 3rd.
If it doesn’t work – zero tolerance.
Outta here.
I have no interest in what used to be I am no longer the same person I once was.

I rode that white stallion from yesterday into . . . my future.
Two Libras, gone.  Two Geminis, gone.

My heart wasn’t in it anymore.
It was time.
Happy trails y’all.

Moon into Capricorn
Monday 30th, 2:29 am CST, USA

Quietly powerful.

Saturn vibe anchors emotions in realism.

Traditional, finds emotional security in stability and authority.

Tendency to emotional melancholy.

Emotionally steadfast unless compromised, then unflappable in new emotional position.

Relationship with / influence of Father (Saturn) and Mother (Moon) is strong.

Capricorn Moon conjuncts 7 degree Capricorn Pluto Rx while sextile Neptune Rx in Pisces ::: soul mining and personal healing is possible;  inspiration is behind manifesting long-range creative ideas into tangible reality…
Genius ideas and messages are incoming…

All Aboard !

 Iron Man, Ozzy Osbourne

A new friend (microbiologist) asked me to look up Ozzy and expound upon his longevity as found in the OZ natal chart.  We had a curious discussion about Ozzy’s career, a near fatal crash on a 4 -wheeler, hams flying across the fence at loud neighbors, and Ozzy’s genome being studied.  See the TEDMED genome talk here.  Speaking of his resiliency, hilarious as usual, Sharon says, ” I have always said, at the end of the world there will be roaches, Ozzy and Keith Richards.”

I like Ozzy, an old friend of mine was an Ozzy / Sabbath freak so I grew up hearing lots and lots of him.  All my Ozzy is on cassette and a bit draggy, the one Sabbath record I had was so party worn it was in another bands sleeve with a piece of notebook paper slapped on the front that said Sabbath in black sharpie.  I know who has it – did it start their vinyl mania – ? – haha I like to think so.  x

Well, of course, for longevity, it helps to have a decent amount of Capricorn or Saturn.  He does.  Mars tightly conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn and Moon (not conjunct).  All three trine Saturn in Virgo.  Mars is exalted in Capricorn, while conjunct Jupiter which expands what it touches – Ozzy has energy and a lot of it – Mars in Capricorn is like time -release capsules of energy, lol.  It means stamina and energy over the long haul, climbing Denali type obstacles one step at a time.

Ozzy is a Sagittarius with Mercury and Chiron oriental (rising before Sun) both of which square Saturn which causes friction and restriction with the mind (Ozzy has dyslexia)and ego – negative thinking, tendency to melancholy, low self- esteem that sort of thing.
(In the TEDTALK above, Ozzy mentions a hindered sense of smell, which Mercury rules.)  His ace in the hole – Pluto the metamorph trines his Sagittarius Sun from Leo, he has heart and the strength of will to overcome any difficulty through perseverance.

Drug use, well that is Neptune square Moon and Mars in Capricorn, and Capricorn is long-term.  Clean and sober now, Ozzy has survived 40 years of abuse.  Neptune sextiles Sun and Pluto (which trine each other), so the opportunity to pull through and regenerate is right there in his natal.  Sun is life – trine Plutonic regeneration.

Scorpio Venus sextiles Moon, Mars and Jupiter in Capricorn; as well as Saturn in Virgo.  Obviously Sharon is a major positive influence in his life, he credits her for saving him when she offered to become his manager in the late 70’s.  Ozzy’s Venus trines his 29th degree Uranus in Gemini.  Hilarious.  Venus (wife, Sharon) tossed a leg of ham (odd and frankly hilarious) at the neighbors (Gemini) for being loud and annoying.  Classic.  It’s here if you wanna watch – F bombs galore, etc… – nsfw, this is the Osbournes after all, so fair warning.

Also Ozzy’s Uranus in Gemini is a help to the Saturn square to Mercury because Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, placed in the sign Mercury rules.  He is communicator, albeit an unusual one, known for being a bit eccentric.

Case in point: When transiting Mars was coming to conjunct his natal Neptune (Jan ’82)which squares his natal Mars and Moon, we had the bat incident.  Mars is bite; Uranus, bats (sonar + flight), Neptune is illusion – and Ozzy bit the head off a bat someone threw onstage and had to undergo a series of painful preventative rabies shots.  It qualifies as something Uranian, or unusual, and the rumor (Gemini) was a wild one !  Neptune sextiles both his Sun and Pluto – so he did garner one hell of a rep, lol.  Ozzy thought it was plastic, ( Neptune, oy ! bad Neptune ) bit the head off and of course, Uranus rules surprises !  Poor guy, you know afterwards his Mercury square Saturn wonders wtf was I thinking ?!  …eh, everyone makes mistakes. !

Hang tough Ozzy, we love ya

peace out

Looney for Luna

Happy Taurus New Moon ~

Ever wonder why this is the massage moon ?
The favorite food  moon ?
The feed your senses  Moon ?

Moon in Taurus is exalted, sensate and instinctual. They are persistent, want security and tend to be stubborn.  Very patient, but when they reach their limit – look out – it is volcanic, no survivors type anger.  Charming, steady affections, loves the good things in life, can be overly desirous of money because it ensures security they crave.  They don’t like change, much.

Finding I had a Taurus Moon (4th) is another example of how astrology explained so many things for me… I have always had this thing  about textures.
Every throw pillow in my house is soft plush fabric, and yes, so is the couch, lol.  ( I don’t lay on my couch much but I learned that if the tv is on when my 2nd house stellium ex comes over, it’s a Toro magnet.)

I love snuggling into my t-shirt sheets after a long day ~ bliss ~ so soft !  Someone recently wondered why I didn’t wear a scratchy shirt much, that is why.  It required another long sleeved shirt underneath or I would go berserk with the texture on me.  Saturn rules skin, but Aquarius rules sensitive skin, and I have big Neptuner in there (11th).  So textures are most certainly a thing.  Neptune contacts Moon so sensations are flashing, buzzing dinging & lighting up my pinball machine ~ when I get to the city I get overloaded really quick, as you can imagine.

It doesn’t stop there…another thing that I can’t do is soggy food.  Crunchy is always better.  That goes for anything slimy too – like those little greasy cabbages – brussels sprouts ick.  I can’t count the number of times I was left at the table to stare at cold greasy cabbages, stubborn – I hated them and would not eat them no matter how long I had to sit.  Any food going down has to be smooth – like chunky smoothies are a no go.  Sorry, feels weird, can’t do.

Smells are another thing, the wrong ones – BAM – headache.  Chemical perfumes are out, only essential oils for me.  Incense I love, but no other sprays or carpet jizz, way too chemical.  Can’t do candles that smell like food either.  Any bath product that smells like fruit, why ?

Sounds also…same thing ~ too much opera sets me on edge, way too much screaming and hollering all at once, or that crazy high note frenetic  jazz oy. works like a brain bristle brush on me.  Small doses ok, too much and I get a bit twitchy.  I have a Neptune playlist for while I write, no words to distract me.

I like eating out of wooden bowls because I don’t like the sound of clanging silverware while I eat.  My poor Mother, I know I drove her nuts when I was a kid.  I grew up in the days of jello with fruit gelled inside – you know where I am going with this, right ?
Not. Gonna. Happen.  My food had territories on the plate, best thing ever (I know some Toro is responsible) invented was the plate with separations.

Moon rules Cancer, the 4th house of Mother, (10th is Saturn or Father, though these can interchange depending on parental roles in the family unit) nurturing and growth, good placement for Moms, gardeners.  Emotions can swing far and wide here, so look out.  Tend to be possessive and stick close to home and family and tribe.  aside: evidently Neptune rules yeast, My ex and I both have Moon opposite Neptune, his Neptune in 1st, moon in 7 and he made the best bread – the yeasties loved him way more than me (Neptune in 11th, Moon 4) which I find interesting.

Moon in Capricorn is in its detriment; the influence of Saturn wants to harden and still the fluctuating Moon, which puts it at odds right away.  The fear inherent in Saturn can overcome and override the emotional nature, making the native stern, lacking in empathy.  Hard workers, not nearly as whiney as Cancer Moons, they just get over it and keep going without a lot of fuss.  Once they are invested emotionally, they stick and stay.

Moon in Scorpio is in its fall.  (My parents both had this placement.)  Scorpio has a deep, dark well of emotions and they are constantly metamorphosing due to the influence of Pluto.  Regeneration is inherent in this placement, emotions are often hidden in the murky depths.  Scorpios keep it close to the vest, lot going on you won’t know about – they are filled with what they DESIRE (Scorpio motto) and can be very territorial and extremist.  Scorpio Moons are intense because they are so passionate – their emotions are like nuclear fission, they need to get a handle on them before they engage anyone else.

Moon is coming to conjunct Jupiter soon ~ take advantage of the influx of sensations ~

beyond logic

Death Valley Dunes Sunrise by KPieper

Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense.
But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

from The Sayings of Muad’Dib by the Princess Irulan

Lucie Debelkova

The trance state of prophecy is like no other visionary experience. It is not a retreat from the raw exposure of the senses (as many trance states) but an immersion in a multitude of new movements.

Things move. It is an ultimate pragmatism in the midst of Infinity, a demanding consciousness where you come at last into the unbroken awareness that the universe moves of itself, that it changes, that its rules change, that nothing remains permanent or absolute throughout all such movement, that mechanical explanations for anything can work only within precise confinements and, once the walls are broken down, the old explanations shatter and dissolve, blown away by new movements.

The things you see in this trance are sobering, often shattering. They demand your utmost effort to remain whole, and even so, you emerge from that state profoundly changed.

The Secret Life of Chaos

Silence and the Source

Tomasz Maronski

Saturn shut my Mercury MC down last night.
Or rather, my Pluto transit did.
Saturn rules silence.
Pluto rules fubar.
Power. Struggle.

Mercury went quiet.
Feeling the squeeze from everywhere.

Pluto leaves you standing there gaping: thinking w.t.f. ! are you kidding me ?!?
It forces any and and all issues to the surface, drags up the ugly and throws it in your face.  It transmutes, metamorphs and kills one thing in order to birth another.

Rogue: When they come out… does it hurt ?
Wolverine: Every time.

Pluto is currently square Sun in Pisces, and Uranus conjunct Mercury Rx in Aries.
Moon is constrictive to begin with and now it is in Saturn – ruled Capricorn coming up to conjunct Pluto again.

Moon conjunct Pluto will be high-octane off the charts emo crap, and it is in the Grand Earth Trine, is likely dealing with work or personal goals in some way (Capricorn).

This can be very healing, as far as purging the toxins, literally and metaphorically.
Possibility of healing manifested rapidly with tangible results.
Moon and Pluto rule vomiting.
Sucks, but you feel better after.
Typical Pluto.

Moon Pluto squares to the Sun, Uranus, Merc Rx will reveal new emotions, directions, ideas, and creative prospects to mull over in your brain.

New insights both incoming and outgoing are on the agenda with Merc Rx back over Uranus.   How do you compete with words and ideas ?
May want to re- think that.

Mercury Rx and Mars are in mutual reception, so they are in constant communication, right off the bat.
Mercury is steeping in Aries, house of Mars, as is Uranus.

Watch your peripheral vision, your headspace ~ what you let in and out – mental / verbal wheels are burning tread at the starting line.  Caution is advised.

FYI: Mars Rx, Jupiter and Pluto are all at 9 degrees today
…put the knife down and back away slowly…
nines indicate endings, completion and saying goodbye to something

blessed be~

Loretta Lynn & Patsy Cline
These are my refrigerator magnets.  Obviously, I love these gals.
The first one I bought was the Patsy magnet. I was in Nashville, at the Ernest Tubb record store, across the street from Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, which is right behind the Grand Olde Opry.
Incidentally, in 1961, Loretta was singing some of Patsy’s songs live on the radio from the Ernest Tubb record store, when Patsy heard her (she was recovering from a car crash in the hospital at the time) and asked her husband, Charlie, to go and fetch Loretta – she wanted to meet her.  Loretta was thrilled and a life – long friendship was born.  The chart below shows the transits for the car crash I am speaking of.

Patsy was a life path 5, she challenged the status quo and lived her life her way.
She was born just after the first quarter moon which indicates a life of action and crisis control – it is a moon of versatility and trailblazing.

Patsy was a raucous bawdy stand – up gal who stuck up for herself and others with strength of character and a great generosity of spirit.  Patsy was a Virgo, Capricorn Moon, with Gemini rising – Mercury chart ruler.

Mercury is at 29 (culmination degree) of Leo conjunct the nadir.  Virgo stellium in the 4th house of feeling.  Mercury conjunct Jupiter – that amps up any and all forms of self – expression.  Tightly conjunct Neptune the inspired musician – all the feelings from the well of water – felt and soaked up from others – comes pouring out through the divine vehicle – the voice.  Patsy has this entire Virgo stellium trine Capricorn Moon in the 7th.  She sang with such great depth of feeling and eloquently expressed each turn of phrase, each note.  Great singers practice control and restraint.

Patsy was a strong woman who stood up to record execs and promoters – she demanded cash on the barrelhead, ‘no dough, no show’.  She had top billing and maintained control of her career when many women were considered secondary to the higher paid male stars, and were treated as such.
Patsy was the first woman in country music to perform at New York’s Carnegie Hall, and in 1962, she was also the first woman in country music to headline her own show in Vegas.

Patsy also has a stellium in the second house, the natural house of Taurus.  When Patsy was 13, she had a serious case of rheumatic fever (Mars) and she almost died (Pluto).  When she recovered, she discovered she had developed a booming voice. (Venus rules Taurus, the throat).

This 2nd house stellium is in opposition to Saturn in Capricorn (it rules, strong placement) in the 8th.  Patsy had perseverance in the face of death (8th house), that’s for sure. The focal planet of her T-Square is Uranus in Aries.  Uranus is Mars flavored, and Patsy was known to be very down to earth and ‘one of the guys’, fond of telling bawdy jokes and cutting up while downing a few at the bar.  Uranus rules the 11th house, so she was an outspoken maverick, a strong what you see is what you get  woman.

Uranus square to Saturn and square the 2nd house stellium with Pluto dovetailing between Mars and Venus and she was a powerhouse catalyst for all those in her circle, women and  men.  I mean not only her inner circle, but Cancer being Moon (public) ruled, her audience and the music industry as well.

As I mentioned above, the transits are for the time of Patsy’s 1961 car crash.  She was thrown through the windshield and again, nearly died.  The 3rd house is short distance travel, (accident happened in Nashville) and Mars (accidents) is coming to conjunct Uranus in the 3rd house.  North Node throws a beneficial influence over Mercury (rules travel) by conjunction.  Sun does as well by sextile.

Note also that a Saturn return indicates a new perspective on life, reaching a stage of growth and reflection, as well as karmic meetings.  The accident spurred Patsy to a renewed faith and brought her a karmic gift – she met Loretta Lynn. (click)
If you are wondering about the title – Patsy called her friends Hoss, men & women alike.
