Chris Cornell died (police report suicide by hanging, his family disputes this) after his recent Detroit show on Wednesday at the young age of 52.
Incredibly talented man with an unforgettable voice.
Huge Syd Barrett fan too.
Syd is my (primary) patron, so it occurred to me he might have been around to help Chris with his transition, so I asked him.

What follows is a series of Q&A using various card methods – the draw and answer follow the questions.  Lastly, I of course, tackle the astrology.

Thanks for hooking me up with your (our) friend, I told him you send him your love. Share this caution to the spooked herd. Rise above the pain and drama and know that his energy remains, infinitely enfolding. Though he lost this challenge, he will, in time, rise again with strength to face the next.

Natch, I also checked the astro.
Chris has an unaspected Cancer Sun (Moon rules Cancer, fluctuates) which was under a progressed Mars transit (conjunct).  This is a call to courage, strength and willpower – a need to release tension properly lest a risky gamble backfire in the heat of the moment.

Unaspected Cancer Sun often has deep feelings that may go unexpressed due to feeling alone and singular in expression. Releasing pressure for an unaspected Sun is more difficult when it doesn’t ‘relate’ to other planets in the natal.

Progressed Virgo Mercury Rx was opposite his natal Saturn Rx in Pisces, which can indicate mental stress, fatigue, and a resultant overmedication. Thoughts become jumbled in the face of reality. Work issues may seem insurmountable or insecurities may begin to run the whole the show.

In addition, not only was transiting Mars conjunct his natal Venus/Mars conjunction in the mental sign of Gemini which points to heightened anxiety, but also transiting Uranus the eccentric was square his natal Sun. Chris took Ativan to combat this anxiety which is a part of his natal signature.  (So do I.)  It is reported he grew confused after taking too much which led to his death.

I got off early yesterday, took a nap that turned into 7 + hours. 
Ummm okay. whoa.
Welcome to transit Neptune square natal Mars, (Mars Rx 10) + total energy drain.

While comparing this sluggish transit with my progressed Moon/Mars conjunct in Capricorn transit (when I happily worked constantly for weeks on 4 hours sleep/night), it occurred to me that if we pay close attention to our progressions, transits and the energies we experience that accompany them, we as a collective could eradicate hatred due to personal differences very quickly.

Hence, the masks – we try on many energies while we are living here on earth.
I was quizzical during my workaholic phase (helped me better understand my boss) and I am rather resigned to accepting (understanding chronic fatigue) this lack of energy as signaling a time to be introspective and reintegrate/balance my sub/conscious drives, actions/desires.

We are each born to a static natal chart, but with every second that passes, energies shift meaning we change.   The planetary movements do not cause change, they simply reflect energy shifts occurring in us on a larger scale.

Everything is connected, related – we are ALL ONE – yet experiencing a different facet of the crystal prism of life.  We careen/balance – if we are aware, we also LEARN.

The luminary vibrations aka Sun/Moon are called The Lights – Sun is conscious; Moon the reflective subconscious.  Each planet has a vibration which is expressed individually (static natal); felt personally (how it is filtered geometrically via natal as planet moves), and experienced globally by all as planets transit each sign.

I think visually, so I picture current transits like a murmuration – we are all shifting energies in the same signs.
The shifts in our respective houses and planetary placements in them – I equate to individual wing adjustments that accommodate the murmuration en masse.

All this brings me to the upcoming Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra in mid-April.
Balance, relationships, love, money & equality – all pistons are firing for relationship growth, change, and personal metamorphosis.

Eclipses are often felt weeks prior to the actual event, they occur in cycles and reverberate across our entire lives.
Pretty intense, huh ?  Just the way I like it.  heheh….

This lunar eclipse is with North Node – winds of change will alter many a course towards a more balanced, just, harmonious, diplomatic destiny.
Placing bets that someone says something strangely synchronous that blows your mind/shifts your emotional perspective – alters your course to a higher vibration.

Eclipse energies are always speed freaks, CHANGE NOW ! 
Eclipse in tandem with the incoming Cardinal Cross, indicates energies are even more action-adventure driven.  This is true globally, as well as individually.

Fresh starts are imminent – this is CARDINAL energy.

Seems I won’t ever tire of strange feet pics/posts, eh ?  Weird foot pics is de rigueur, Aqua on Venus ruled 2nd, Venus square Neptuner in 11th.  My tastes in art runs the gamut from the sublime to the ridiculous.

I have been working more at my day job, wacky hours, less posting and now my lingering foot issue has worsened.  Neptune rules feet; Aquarius, ankles.

I am having an issue with my right ankle and it shows in my transits:

Uranus direct applying square to Prog Mars in Capricorn in 11.

Here is where it gets frustrating – Neptune loves to play hide and seek.

Neptuner in hard aspect is a test between delusion, illusion – – healing, transcending via healing arts.  Health wise, Neptooney makes misdiagnoses and hard to pinpoint symptoms/cures very likely.  (I have already had weird migrating foot pains this year – very odd – I reiki, they wander.) 

My natal Neptune is under (hard) square (in fixed signs) indicating not only stress, but also that I am facing something I avoided in a past life.  I know there is much I am still processing from this life as well. 

Psychosomatic: emotional and mental stress manifesting in the body.
In every chart, there is always a way out of difficulty, both in the natal and by transit.

In my natal I have plenty of Plutonic energy to shapeshift.
Currently T. Uranus is trine my natal Mars in Sagittarius by the backdoor.

Saturn (TIME, and the loner) smack on eccentric Aquarius (genius) MC aka Midheaven (peak of achievements, bulbs flashing), in the 9th house of boho travel.  Moon-ruled North Node in Cancer on 11 degrees – same as Mercury in Sag.  Remember how Martha spread the word, defeated The Master – how apt !

Sag Mars squares TARDIS <~(click for biggie asteroid TARDIS post) in 11th house Pisces exact at 21 degrees, a stolen time space machine with a mind of her own – spins The Doctor sideways to what she AIMS him to SEE, hands him plenty of surprises and off track destinations !  Sun and Mercury trine Aries Jupiter (Doctor Jupes is smack on my natal Saturn ::GRIN:: )  Means two benefics spreading courageous goodwill and good vibes of 6th house healing (plus, Chiron in Pisces 10) to all beings of the time multiverses.

Doctor Who’s rambling conjunction of Mercury, Venus and Mars squares Virgo Uranus/Pluto in the 4th, though he doesn’t live on Earth, he feels a responsibility to protect her and will become enraged if she or her life is threatened.  This is also true for other worlds – he is The Coming Storm.  He is a fierce and mighty protector of those who are underlings (Virgo, 6th house) without power.

Tenth house Aquarius Moon quintile Sag Mercury is most definitely getting out of tight spots by your wits and USING what you KNOW, have LEARNED over time and eons of experience.  Scorp Neptune square Aquarius Moon and Saturn – haha the phrase timey whimey comes to mind !  In this case among other things, a penetrating mind keen for research, travel, the unusual, built for shake-ups in career aka: being his own boss, rather than a long-term partnership in a rut in one spot.

110105intx5cyThough I have a great internal compass and sense of direction – I have a love of maps. (Mercury rules, is my MC planet)  Astrology is made of maps, and not only the natal map, but also what happens as the big wheel turns.

The sky when we were born kept right on moving and soon tossed us into another set of circumstances such as the first Mars return (every 2-21/2 years) around what is known as the terrible twos.

When my progressed Moon (feels) and Mars (action) were pulling the plow together in Capricorn (career, work, public) – I was filled with focused energy, I was seriously DRIVEN and THRIVING on WORK, writing, java, more work and maybe 4 hours sleep a night, and doing it well.  Friends were across the globe were saying  I can’t believe the hours I find you online up and writing.

Note: for those of you who think I am a little  O u t   T h e r e. . . my progressed Moon is zapping into Aqua soon, so I may go around fully around the bend at that time . . . we’ll see… HA !

Outer planets move so slowly, they rarely progress into the next sign unless they are at 28-29 degrees of a sign in natal.  See Elijah Wood.
I only look at the outer progs as they relate to the personals.

When looking at progs, look to Sun and Moon, whatever sign they land in – you are learning and exploring the ENERGY of THAT SIGN now.

Mars opposite Jupiter Rx – both in AIR – brought internet sparring over some idiotic Doctor Who cartoon that implied the companions were common carbon copies of one another – interchangeable arm candy.  Yet another slight to all women everywhere.

Show ain’t over yet – Full Toro Moon is in my lunar house (opposite my natal Neptune) with SuperMoon eclipse to follow Nov 13 ON my Neptuner.

This is my NINE year – culmination – solar return is Cardinal heavy, North Node of Destiny smack on ASC with Pluto as focal planet of a T-Square with Sun opposite Uranus.

Ahhh…a light fluffy frothy Venus whipped into a perfect curly Q with sprinkles.

Sweets, scents, art, beauty, friendliness, charm and diplomacy all sit sweetly in the Libran parlor.

Venus loves to freely flit and flirt in this intellectual, communicative AIR sign, her home – she rules this house beautiful.  She is polite, polished, matchie- smatchie, and wants you the same.  Her sense and sensibilities will suffer greatly if a fugly shoddy – or horrors !  outdated ensemble should stumble across the doorstep on date night. 

She is bubbly, outgoing and honestly enjoys the company of others – the exchange of ideas and concepts revolving around art, social equality and how to balance and beautify everything is a sure-fire win.  She is in love with love, romance is key as is being thoughtful and considerate.

Librans can be incredibly indecisive – fair warning – they often like you to choose dinner and arrange plans so they won’t have to fret over it.  I had a Libra friend that looked at 7 painted color swatches on the wall for years – at last visit – still no choice.

They are great minglers at parties, the hostess with the mostest serving up a smile so sweetly.  They are emotionally straightforward and will work to keep a relationship running smoothly, they dislike chaos and discord.  Saturn is exalted in Libra – fairness and stability in a mate is especially treasured.

April 1st is Cheap Trick Day in Illinois by law.  hee love that.

Robin’s Toro Moon (exalted) and Jupiter conjunct my Moon, which means they also trine my Virgo Stellium. Robin’s Pisces Venus (exalted) Mars conjunction is trine my Neptuner.  His Aquarius Sun and Cap Mercury also trine my stellium. Robin’s Leo Pluto is conjunct my Venus Jupiter conjunction. My Leo stuff also sextiles his Saturn Neptune conjunction in Libra. My Libra Mercury is conjunct his Saturn Neptune. My Moon sextiles his Cancer Uranus….so is plenty fair to say, I liiiike him…

My Mom (Sag rising)  took me to see Cheap Trick, (my first I asked for live show- Kris Kristofferson was a gifty first when my Mom opted out) which of course is reflected in the natals.  ie: My Mom’s Venus and Mars are both trine Robin’s Saturn/ Neptune in Libra.  His Venus and Mars conjunction trines her Cancer Pluto.  There’s more, but you get the idea.  My former husband who has heard them live several times at my request has good synastry with Robin too, their Moons are conjunct too, for starters.

Everyone we meet we have some sort of energetic reaction with, a grinding or an ease.

Growth is located in the squares and oppositions – we work to release the pressure – but too many and there is a break.  outta here !

Learning astrology is more than just the natal, it is understanding the transits and progressions too…

Transits are the global vibe – what is up there in the sky happening now.

Progressions are your personal chart  forwarded to reflect your growth to date.

When reading progressions,
Look to your progressed Sun for insights into where your awareness is focused.

The Moon shows where your feelings are living.

Check to see what natal house has progressed to the ascendant, there will be a focus on the activities of that house.

Check out your angular planets 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th for they are strong areas of focus.

Compare your progressed Moon phase with that of the progressed Sun – new moons are beginnings, full moons are culminations, waning moons signify endings.

Note if any planets have just switched signs, it will be felt.

Also compare your progressed with your natal, conjunctions and squares being very important.

When progressions activate the natal and transits activate both, there is an event.

I will use myself as an example:  Work, work, work it’s all about the work. sheesh. ha
My progressions in a nutshell: 2nd house (work) Aquarius brought to the ascendant. Saturn (my natal ruler, rules work) in the 1st opposite Venus (love, creativity and money) which is not so happily squeezed between game changers Uranus and Pluto in the 7th.  Sun in Scorpio keeping company with Mercury under good aspect, thankfully !  Mars tightly conjunct Moon (10 and 11 degrees respectively) in Capricorn square Saturn.
(work ! + lots of it – also a bit cranky is an understatement, lol)

Recent transit that boggled me was Pluto direct (Pluto stationed retrograde at 9 degrees Cap April 13th.) nearly conjunct progressed Mars and Moon.  As Pluto activated progressed Mars and Moon it was also squaring my natal Saturn at 9 Aries, and coming to trine my natal Moon in Taurus.  Someone, yes a man from my past came calling and pretty much rocked my world.  Again.

That’s all I am saying about that transit + dude, prog Merc is in Scorpio 8th, after all. lol

This post has been Gemini all over the place, I was indeed thinking Venus retrograde when I posted Voices, not feeling the Pluto love at the mo….so that Pluto post I promised… I was thinking it would have to wait, then I ended up talking about Pluto anyway.
Ah well…prog Venus attracts the odd Pluto blurt despite my efforts – it is squashed between my natal Virgo Sun + Uranus (Pluto conjunction) and transiting Mars is coming to activate them – so may as well roll out the surf the surprises red carpet.

The stars are veiled. Something stirs in the East.  A sleepless malice.

I’m mainlining Pluto – you ?  Mars and Uranus too, the whole lot, hackles are up and cursing is online.  I am having the righteous indignation transit in spades.  Going nuclear over idiotic annoyances.  Can’t seem to beg steal or borrow zen.
My night off bit the dust as soon as I walked in the door – night off ? Zen ?  HA !
I am too busy slaying dragons for zen.  I am Zen Dragon.  My new mantra, lol.
I will make this short.  For your sake.  Get to the astro and otherwise, STFU.

Progressions.  Looked at yours ?  The angles are the most important.
1st, 4th, 7th, 10th.   What is going on there ?  It will add dimension guaranteed.

Where is your Moon ?  You will feel your progressed Moon.
Look to what house has progressed to the angles. 
Weave between the natal progressions and transits to build your story. 
Progressions will activate what is present in the natal. 

For example, my progressed Moon is square progressed Venus which has just passed over natal Uranus.  I started this site roughly 7 months ago because my feelings, my love for astrology had to be expressed.
Moon = feelings.  square = internal. Venus = love  Uranus= astrology.
Mercury = expression / healing (Chiron)

Another example, my progressed Moon is in Capricorn, not the easiest place since Moon fluctuates, likes room to move and Capricorn steadies and solidifies.  My progressed Moon is conjunct Mars.  Feeling aggressive and issues with males – yes.
Yet : Mars is exalted in Capricorn so I work, work and work.  This turns out to be a very good thing… because…

My seventh house is locked and loaded – Venus is crammed between Uranus and Pluto.  That’s serious change -ups in love $$ and dealing with others.  Uranus, in the seventh, which rules astrology is opposite Saturn in the first, which is work and self.
I am finding the compromise between the two.
Progressed ASC is my natal 2nd house my $$, worth, esteem.
Progressed MC is conjunct natal Mars in Sagittarius, so work lots, sleep little.
Progressed DC is on natal Jupiter, learning and teaching.

I love this pic… everyone in the Helm’s deep scenes filmed – in the dark – in the rain – for weeks.  A labour of love.  Peter is keen on the fight scenes, obviously.  What grandeur the cast and crew created by slogging it out in the rain and mud, yes..?!

What is worth fighting for ?
