Thomas Paine was an 18th century activist, a British expat who was called the “Father of the American Revolution” because of his anonymously published, pro-independence pamphlet Common Sense.  He was suppressed by the British, sought asylum in France, and was later released from a French prison (with the help of President Monroe) and moved to the U.S.

Paine became notorious because of his progressive, free-thinking writings.  In his book, The Age of Reason, he argues against institutionalized religion.  He later introduced the concept of minimum wage in Agrarian Justice, as well as old age pension (social security).  Paine was strongly influenced by his time spent with the Iroquois, who lived in harmony with nature and each other by tribal (democratic) law.

Though there is no evidence he was himself a Freemason, Paine also wrote “An Essay on the Origin of Free-Masonry” (1803–1805), about the Bible being allegorical myth describing astrology:

Solar Eclipses involve identity, ego, ambition, leadership, co-operation.
Awareness.
Versatility in communication is on the table for this eclipse.

This is a New Moon – a time for beginnings and fresh starts, growing upward.  New Moon feels spontaneous, filled with possibilities, intuition and instincts rule while moonlight is dim.
*Clean the corners, toss items, do rituals for closing, clearing stagnant energies, light candles and smudge in preparation for new moon.

Energies in play at new moon will culminate at the next full moon.
The next full moon is the Partial Lunar eclipse June 4 in Sagittarius.

South Node of Destiny accompanies this annular eclipse, so get ready to bob and weave with the past – adaptation, improvisation.

Thinking, learning talking, writing, siblings, neighbors, short journeys are some of the energies in motion with this eclipse.

Pay attention to what is happening in your life in the days prior to the eclipse to determine what energies are being activated in your life.  Eclipses are often triggered before the actual eclipse and the energies continue to play out over weeks or months afterward as other planets move over the eclipse point.

Gemini talks, Sagittarius walks (rules thighs) this eclipse is like climbing the high dive ladder for the 1st time…0 degree eclipse…the next eclipse is Sagittarius totally going for the swan dive leap of faith…it is easier by the time we get there because we have higher visions incoming all month !  Jupiter is protective as well ~
 …  hmmm interesting … eclipse is exactly trine my natal Juno at zero Libra.

Something that strikes me is this is both a chart of reaping from former efforts and also giving back to people.  (SW quadrant) 

What we are actively sowing is exactly that : Work.
– changes and transformation re: work (Pluto in Cap)
– organizing, streamlining energetic efforts across the board (Mars in Virgo)
– shifting of balance re: work, status, career, health and routines (Saturn Rx in Virgo)

Mars in 10 in the Mercury ruled house trine Pluto, fresh new ground is tilled and ready for planting new moon thought seeds for long – term growth. Be aware Gemini is a restless, changeable energy and it likes to switch it up.

For those of you asking about spell work at new moon – Gemini new moon is in flux, neutral and dual.  Not known for sticking and staying, but moreso for ideas, observing, being flexible and spells will reflect this.  If you are looking to work with Mercury, be aware it is trickster energy !

Mer (light) Ka (spirit) Ba (body)
These are egyptian words from the 18th dynasty.  Mer (light) specifically means two counter-rotating fields of light spinning in the same space. These electromagnetic light fields are always present, but grow stronger with meditation and specific breathing patterns.

Merkaba is a geometric representation of the bridge between the mind, body and heart; the spiritual etheric and physical bodies.


The Mer-Ka-Ba is composed of two intersecting, counter-rotating tetrahedra (triangular pyramid) in the figure of a three-dimensional Star Tetrahedron, or “Star of David”.

The center point of the spinning tetrahedron (pointing up and down) forms a “zero-point” construct that compels singular motion (wave of creation) to resonate with Universal Harmonics.

This harmonic convergence within the center of the body activates a rotation phenomenon similar to twelve-strand DNA and the upward spiral of evolution.

This spinning rotation has many useful applications in altering the bio-energetic construct of the body, mind and emotions.

Grand Trines, like Merkabas have to be activated.

We have a grand trine in Earth, physical manifestations are granted easier access at this time.
Another grand trine in primarily Air, with Neptune out of sign / element in its home in Pisces (water).  This is balanced emotionally based, spiritual, healing communication.

Johnny Cash, Arkansas born; Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon.
Kris Kristofferson, Texas born; Cancer Sun, Leo Moon.

Johnny recorded his first hits for Sun Records in Memphis, in 1958, Johnny left Sun for Columbia Records in Nashville.  For a short while Johnny and Waylon shared an apartment in Nashville, both were young, wild and crazy, popping pills and playing honky tonks. While on tour in 1965, Johnny was arrested by a narcotics squad in El Paso, Texas. He was carrying 688 Dexedrine capsules and 475 Equanil that were hidden inside his guitar case.  Are ya gettin’ the outlaw bit here ?  In 1967, Johnny and June won a Grammy for their duet of ‘Jackson’.

In 1965, Kris (a Rhodes Scholar) moved to Nashville, declining an English professorship at West Point to write songs instead.  His military family disowned Kris for ditching the teaching gig and taking up music.   Again, are ya gettin’ the outlaw bit ?  Kris got a job as a janitor at Columbia, while also working part-time as a bartender, a commercial helicopter pilot and trying to pitch his songs to record execs.  He also gave some songs to Johnny, who ignored them.  In 67, Kris was signed to Epic, but his songs were more successful chart hits when sung by other artists.

Then Kris, dig this !  (his Toro Uranus – rules aviation – is opposite {energy in your face} Johnny’s Scorpio Moon – rules the home) landed a helicopter on Johnny’s lawn and asked him, “Now will you listen to some of my songs?’   Don’t you just love astrological bits like this ?!   He did ! – then introduced Kris at the Newport Folk Festival in 1969, and Kris’ career as a performer of his own songs began to truly take off.

Trines indicate harmony, benefits and co-operation, they are protective, they are the past life bank account you can draw from.

Johnny had Sun / Mercury / Mars in Pisces trine Kris’ Sun / Venus / Mars stellium in late Gemini, early Cancer.  Right there, they ‘get’ each other, communicate well, love and understanding.  Water Suns, both both intuitive and sensitive.
Kris’ Leo Moon was conjunct Johnny’s Jupiter — both trine Kris’ Jupiter.  Moon is feelings, Jupiter luck, optimism–all in fire, signals creativity, self-expression.

Kris’ Jupiter in trine to Johnny’s Venus / Uranus conjunction in Aries which was in turn trine their Moon / Jupiter conjunction in Leo.  They were good for each other, lending support and caring when the other needed it.  Again in fire, so between their charts Kris and Johnny formed a grand fire trine between Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

Kris had Uranus (flight, eccentricity) trine Johnny’s Neptune (music), so when he landed, Johnny listened, haha.
