Mars in Sagittarius is perpetually on tour, roaming wild and free, in pursuit of happiness and adventure.  This Mars needs freedom to explore all facets of life.  They are the high-spirited seekers full of curiosity and enthusiasm for reaching new horizons, they are the happy-go-lucky pranksters who love to have fun.

Jugglers of concepts and ideas, they love to wax philosophical on any and all subjects: intellectual, environmental, physical, spiritual – for them nothing is too sacred for clever conversation.  Everything they SEE requires comment in some form or fashion for they value getting to the innate truth at the core of all beings.  Note also, they know how to stretch the truth to fit their needs – mutable !  Just sayin’. 

Risk-taking rides shotgun to adventure, that’s why you can usually find them goofing at a party regaling a crowd with hilariously vivid descriptions of wild drunken/dosed days and nights.  This Mars seeks to learn via experience.

Mars in Sagittarius is the archer of action/fire signs – how well they hit the bulls-eye depends on aspects to Mars in the natal as well as transits and progressions.  Mars in Sagittarius is akin to a satellite dish on a good day – taking in and putting out a wide array of broad based intel.  Desires focus on long-term goals and far-reaching vision.

While Aries Mars competes to be first and Leo Mars creates from within, Sagittarius Mars is mutable and learns in tandem with others.  Sagittarians like ‘far out’ people for in them they see an abundance of life in a myriad of forms and expressions – the learning possibilities are endless. . . this is the National Geographic Mars.

Neither shyness, shame nor savor faire register a blip on Sagittarius Mars radar. They are known for Tourette’s style blurting in mixed company.  These folks will be the ones saying and doing what everyone else is only thinking about saying or doing.  For this reason, Mars in Sagittarius is a teaching & preaching placement further defined by house placement.  In my experience, explorative open minds always deliver the best teachers & preachers because they are quick to approach a diplomatic understanding.

Mars in Sagittarius teaches what they learn – pontificating and propagating their optimistic philosophies and perspectives like Johnny Appleseed.  They have an innate faith and confidence that their outbound energy will find its destination and they will reap abundance.

How fun is it watching Peter chew lines and spit ’em out with sardonic wit week after week ?  Easily one of my favorites on GoT, he steals scene after scene, year after year.  Peter won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2011 for the role of Tyrion.  I have loved his work since I saw The Station Agent, co-starring Patricia Clarkson, I highly recommend it.

Peter is a very earthy Gemini Sun (and Mercury – rules Gem), with 3 planets in Toro, including Moon (exalted here) and a late Virgo stellium.

Early Sagittarius Mars, Chiron in Aries are his lone fire planets – but with Jupiter nestled between Pluto and Uranus – Peter has plenty of wisdom, enthusiasm and power to attain adventurous goals.  Chiron in Aries is a powerful drive to heal wounds through understanding/seeing the big picture, while focusing on taking the single-minded  independent lead.  Mars in Sag loves to explore, learn, experience and play.

Sag Mars quintiles (genius expression) Virgo Pluto and if that doesn’t make a randy, lusty, silver-tongued devil I’ll eat your hat.  Perfect casting !  It also indicates a drive to expand philosophies/perceptions surrounding perfection on a mass scale (Mars quint Pluto trine Moon).

Virgo Jupiter neck and neck with the innovator (Uranus) and the metamorph (Pluto) craft a clever, witty and practical punch.  Pluto trines exalted Moon in Venus – ruled Toro leading to favor, attraction via steady, humble groundwork – laid patiently, skillfully, and sensually, I might add.

Peter has Gemini Sun square late Virgo Pluto/Jupiter/Uranus leading to a tremendous inner tension forcing intellectual/communicative self-improvement.  The key is versatility inherent to mutable signs – mental dexterity, witty repartee, being calm, cool, collected in a battle of wits.

That knock-out Virgo stellium sees Jupiter in exact sextile to Neptune in Scorpio – now that is the ability to powerfully flesh out any scenes on film (Neptune).  The minutiae of  expressions Peter is capable of turning out in scene after scene is stunning. Did you catch his eye twitching when Tywin (new hand in the office) was lecturing him ?  Go back and look – amazing.  He is all kinds of fun to watch onscreen !

Venus bang on Saturn in Toro has much to do with that artistic control.  Venus rules Taurus and the arts; Saturn, discipline and control – both are well-placed in earth.  Peter’s perceptual prowess coupled with powers of mimicry – Mercurial energy is working its charm !

Lucky me !  I have this placement.  Sagittarius Mars loves to explore anything and everything.  When Mars lays tread in Sagittarius – we are off on an adventure to SEE the world, the proof, the truth, we are the gypsies of the open road.  Mars on fire loves to play – in Sagittarius, Mars chases fresh sunrises on new horizons far and wide.

Sag Mars loves to learn, is in fact, a life long student of life – gathering information from everyone he meets to formulate new ideas and philosophies. This sexy Mars loves the outdoors (nudge, nudge, wink, wink – say no more) and getting physically active: hiking, biking, mountain climbing, whatever – just keep changing it up so they can explore someplace new.

Rough lunation, full moon will square my natal Sagittarius Mars  – checked my progressed too.  Ouch. Not even going there.  fun times, ugh.

Moon is conjunct Chiron, so this post must be written. 
Chiron was a centaur by the way.  A horse, of course. lol
Chiron is known as the wounded healer; herbalist, philosopher, teacher.

I was thinking earlier, while going all Ed Scissorhands on my 7 something foot hedge, that this has been the year of Martians – particularly angular Mars peeps.  (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th house are the angular houses.)  I’ve been gaining championship gymnastic status trying to please this bunch I tell ya.  My most recent run-in had me positively fuming with the  ” you’ll have to . . .blahblahblah ”  business while I was doing something out of kindness for free.   I am generally slow to rile, but this one had a hotline on my red phone – rrrrg.
I don’t have  to do anything.

You read above I have Sagittarius Mars (it trines my chart ruler).  I have a 9th house stellium (natural Sag house) and my Venus is conjunct Jupiter (rules Sag) and my Mercury sextiles Jupiter from the 9th.  The only thing in my chart not getting a direct Sag hit is Moon and it still trines my 9th house stellium through transference of light through Pluto.

You need to know this about Sagittarius, and I am getting it / learning it about myself – even now – after all my life of running with Sagittarians.

We are blunt.

Went and lumped myself in with the sign I have sworn off dating for life.
Ye gads what irony. 

Why am I telling you this . . . ?

This is the beauty of its simplicity.

Let me explain . . .
I have Saturn Rx in Aries 3 trine Mars in Sagittarius. 
The prominent life – long big whopper standard interps for me equal:

I have stamina (Mars) over the long haul (Saturn / time).
Absence of the father growing up. (Saturn Rx)
Reading and writing (Saturn in 3rd, learning) and expanding my spiritual horizons (Sagittarius, higher learning and spiritual) are places where I apply force (Mars).

Shift focus, and the trivial weird stuff can be seen:

Lousy typist (Saturn restricts the hand movements – 3rd rules hands).
Pretty zen unless I am behind the wheel (3rd house is commuting) and other drivers disregard obvious traffic patterns (3rd house – patterns) then I fume (Mars).
Inked (Saturn / permanent, 3rd writing) on hand.  (mystical, Sag)
Scars on hand (3rd house) from burns and stabbing. (Mars)
Prone to headaches (Saturn restriction in head), will not headbutt (talk to the hand).

This is why I think everyone should study astrology – it is the best personal enlightenment tool I have seen to date.  Opportunities for insights are limitless ~

(That’s what I was going on about in my last post – I saw someone in my aspects !)

Saturn (and Sun) rule the father. 
Here is how my Dad shows up in my chart.
(I am Saturn in Aries 3 trine Mars in Sag ::  Virgo Sun conj Uranus / Pluto)

My Dad worked (Saturn) as a purchasing agent, on the phone all the time – sales. (3rd house is communication)
He medalled in track (Mars Sag) many times.
He lived many years past the date his cancer doctor predicted he would. (Saturn trine Mars)   This is also indicated by my Sun (father, life, fame or prominent in some way) conjunct Uranus (unusual or curious) Pluto (death).
