Whenever I see a hawk I think of my brother.
He had Sun, Moon, Venus and Mercury all in Aquarius.

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and both rule flight and birds.
Aquarius is an air sign, although Aquarius is called the water-bearer because February brings the purifying spring rains.

Birds / Air = messages and communication
The message may be written or spoken, but it may also be intuition (Uranus) calling.


I was followed by hawks when my brother died…they were everywhere and I was dreaming of them too, making artwork revolving around hawks and I found it comforting.  It eventually slacked off a bit, then happened only occasionally.

Neptune entered the fixed electrical sign of Aquarius in 1998, Neptune is my most highly aspected planet.  In 1998 my life turned ugly real quick.  Then it got worse.  Those of you who have read my blog awhile know I am quite keen to get Neptune out of Aquarius and back into Pisces.  

A few months ago hawk came again.   Hawk swooped towards me, low over my head late summer while I stood in my driveway, then flew over my house.  Not long after, maybe a day or two, hawk flew me home.  I was in my truck and hawk was overhead following me into my driveway then flew over the hood of my truck into a nearby tree.  Hawk brought changes.


Hawk medicine brings swift changes.  Air messages are not only spoken but also represent thoughts and where they lead.  Thought is the basis of future action, use hawk higher vision to make wise choices.
Wind is the life of hawk, signaling a need to use intent to cleanse the body with each breath of air.  Breathing and quiet meditation makes higher / sharper vision possible.

Observe where the winds of life are blowing, and ride the updrafts when possible.  Hawk reassures us we are on the correct path using keen instincts and clarity of vision.  Hawk has long-range vision, sees the truth and symbolizes that new opportunities are about to become visible.

Freya (Freia) is a Norse goddess of the Vanir (nature deities).  She is the goddess of love and beauty, protectress of the world, and patron saint of wise and powerful magical women.

She can be found on the fields of war receiving the slain in a chariot driven by two blue cats.  She is wise in magic and wears a cloak of feathers which allows her to transform into a falcon.  Freya rules over the plants, earth and animals of the forest and can be called upon to assist in affairs of love.
She wears a finely woven golden amber necklace whose power cannot be resisted, called Brisingamen which was purchased from dwarves.

Friday is the day of Freya (called by the Romans, Venus).

Mars Mayhem

Mars is in Virgo until July 3rd.
The months ahead are a great time for work (Virgo) at a high volume (Mars) pace, that’s on everyone’s plate.
What Mars is doing by transit to your natal, that is yours alone.

Wherever Mars lands in the natal gets revved up, that house is on fire !
Mars is impulsive, aggressive, in your face, confrontational, action- NOW !
NO WAITING !


Mars is energy in your face and everyone elses.

If transiting Mars is conjunct a natal planet, expect an intense supercharged boost to that planetary vibe.
Trine is the same – but a bit less confrontational, more harmonious.
Square is the internal fight bubbling over, the frustration powder keg.

An Eclipse prayer, a Neptune direct & going home prayer ~

Neptune is illusion, fog and dreams, the ocean ~ fluctuation on a grand scale.

She has been getting zapped in a fixed electrical sign since August 24th, 1998.
Neptune will, at long last, enter Pisces, the sign she rules, on February 3, 2012.

King of Wands

Sun entered Sagittarius November 22.

Charming, impulsive travellers with a love for learning and adventure, Sagittarians are blunt, and can usually be found regaling the entire room at he party with hilarious bawdy jokes.  Sagittarians are optimistic, freedom-loving, and more fun than a barrelful of monkeys !   In relationships they need a friend and a mate – you have to be a buddy or it won’t fly.

They tend to be philosophical and extremely open-minded, love different cultures, probably dig national geographic, camping, going on tour at the drop of a hat, and the open road forever calls to them.  Happy-go-lucky Jupiter rules Sagittarius, so they have a way of getting out of tough spots with a Cheshire grin and a ‘c’mon baby, loosen up’  vibe.

Where you find Jupiter in your chart is where you are given a blessing of sorts, a cosmic good luck clover, a dash of hope and a wink from the gods/goddess.  Jupiter is the greater fortune, the beneficial planet in your natal, whatever it aspects has a blessing, and expands (for good or ill).

The gals on facebook thought it was funny I answered so quick – true story, though…that fiesty fiery King speaks of all my Sagittarians in one. card.

I have Mars (desire) in Sagittarius, Venus (love) conjunct Jupiter (rules Sagittarius) and a 9th house (natural house of Sagittarius) stellium.
We are magnetized ~ my Sag Mars (steel) in the 11th quintile Uranus (magnetics) in the 9th.
They are the vortex !

My former husband (Super Sag with 4 planet stellium) had Jupiter smack on my Saturn and I really loved him, had a crush on him in high school, we’re still good friends.  We travelled all over the country to hear music and have fun.  His Jupiter really greased the wheels on my Saturn, we had some really great times.

I’d be rich if I had a dollar for every time I said to a Sagittarius, “I can’t believe you just said that !”
God they are hilarious though – I just shake my head and laugh…

One Sag ex boyfriend accidentally set my hair on fire in college, then started singing the Doors lyric, “I see your hair is burning, burning like a fire”.  Stinker.

My first Sag boyfriend I don’t remember being very funny, he mostly just showed up for sex, then left.  (That is low Sag- but it suits some of the Sagittarian men I have spent time with.  They also had the added bonus quality of feeling free to  s t r e t c h  the truth when it suited them.)

Note : I know there are truthful Sagittarians on the planet , I just haven’t dated them.  yet.

They funniest Sag line lately was during a feng shui lecture about lucky double ducks or whatever in the bedroom.  “…sure is awful bossy about what goes in my bedroom – I’m gonna ask where I should put the camera! ” ~  HA  !

Hello lovely peeps~

It turns out transiting Mars in my 9th of higher learning square my natal Sagittarius Mars in 12 has me going at mystical and metaphysical study like a junkyard dog at a porterhouse steak.

Mercury is going retrograde just before the eclipse and I always find it helpful to flesh out the planetary bodies scientifically as well as turning my inner eye upon them.


Mercury has a rep for being neutral, dualistic, adaptable, dextrous, articulate, alert and brilliant.  It is neutral, reflective and associated with the throat chakra / communication.  Mercury expresses polarities, and does so scientifically as well.

One side is extremely hot at 430 degrees celsius, the other is very cold at -180 degrees celsius.  Mercury circles the sun in 88 Earth days, yet only rotates on its axis 3 times for every two trips around the Sun.  Mercury also has a global internal dipolar magnetic field which means it has both a north and a south pole.

In the natal, the closest aspect to Mercury is the way Mercury will find its expression.  For instance, my Mercury is at MC in Libra, and sextile Venus conjunct Jupiter in the 8th of Leo.  I am usually talking about art, music, or metaphysics.  Look to your Mercury to see how you express yourself.
