3-day Solar-Geophysical Forecast issued Jan 21 22:00 UTC

Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be low through the period
(22 – 24 January) with a chance for an isolated M-class flare.

M-class flares are medium-sized; they can cause brief radio blackouts that affect Earth’s polar regions. Minor radiation storms sometimes follow an M-class flare.

Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels until late on day 1 (22 January).
Activity is forecast to increase to unsettled to active levels at around 22/1800Z and continue into day 2 (23 January) due to the expected arrival of the halo-CME observed on 19 January.
There will also be a chance for minor storm levels during the CME passage.

Field activity is expected to decrease to quiet to unsettled levels on day 3 (24 January) as Coronal Mass Ejection effects subside.  A coronal mass ejection (CME) is a massive burst of solar wind, other light isotope plasma, and magnetic fields rising above the solar corona or being released into space

Please note : some sensitive to solar activity may be more likely to have seizures, dizziness, or disrupted sleep during heightened solar geomagnetic storms.

This CME will arrive with the New Moon in Aquarius, which rules magnetics.  New Moons are when the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun.

Deep Dark Moon vibes will be getting extra powered juice from the Electro-magnetic waves, dark places will be zapped with a bit of an unusual light, something surprising.

Sun, Moon and Mercury will be trining Mars during the luminary line-up so draw back your bows people, aim true.  Focus on what you will magnetically draw to yourself between now and the Full Moon in Leo to come.

Serenity NOW

How’s Mars treating ya ?   
We’re all pissy around here. Cat is sick, hating the evol bile medicine I have to force down his throat.  Poor thing wretches and foams at the mouth while I am poked every which way.  The other cat wisely hides. lol
Oh and transiting Pluto creeps up on my Saturn ruler and turns the square screws another notch or two.  lovely.

Energies are most definitely in flux.  Mars IS energy in the natal and it is soon to travel via retrograde back over the nit-picky bits in Virgo – oh who am I kidding ?!
They are ALL nit-picky bits in Virgo, obviously.

Sun (spirit) and Saturn (work & restriction) are under some nasty squares and how !
I am buried in work until…I do not care to count the days and weeks and months.
Sun is square happy-go-lucky Jupiter too – squeezing any optimistic juice out a dried up old day…and I am here writing about it – how about a round of applause for Mercury square Saturn. *crickets*  (sips blackberry smoothie)

Things on this page will be a work in progress towards more streamlined efficiency while Mars is Rx…posts may ease up a bit while I work behind the curtain.

Moon (emotion) is frozen solid – cloaked in a suit of chain mail and crawling on all fours out of Capricorn on this dark moon.  Sun squares aren’t helping the sitch.
I saved the best for last though !

Luna is coming to conjunct Mercury and thankfully Mercury is quintile (talent) Uranus.  Heightened intuition and the Cosmic Headspace Bliss -out !  wheeee !
Soon New Moon Monday in the early morning (CST,USA) and some fizzy Aquarian dark moon vibes, bring it  !

Tonight’s sky… three planets are at the 29th degree, the degree of saturation, culmination.

Sun is awareness -presently in Capricorn (self- interest), soon moving into progressive Aquarius (Earth tribe).

Saturn is Earth- presently on the scales of Libra (cooperation), soon moving under the scrutiny of powerful Scorpio.

Neptune is spiritual intelligence- presently in eccentric Aquarius, soon drifting home to the healing waters of Pisces.

This sky feels heavy.  I have natal Sun at 29 degrees.
The world is sick. I am sick, and my cat is sick.

Transit Mars is in my Virgo house (pets) activating my stellium (Sun/Uran/Pluto), transit Mars is also activating my natal Neptuner (which happens to be conjunct all my Egyptian kitty cat asteroids- and opposite my Leo stuff.)

Read: Mars has been jammed up our nostrils since entering the sign of Virgo on November 10th aggravating, initiating & rousing any and all micro – minutiae analyzation in full throttle force.

Mars has been mainlining energy into all Virgo planets via direct motion since November 10th.
Now – planets situated between 23 and 3 degrees of Virgo will be taking a retrograde hit, followed by another direct hit.

Read:  Direct and perfect, retrograde and turn the blade.

Mars is the blade, the power, the energy outgoing while direct.
Virgos prune.  Virgos heal.  They are duty – bound to serve others.

Virgos perfect by nature.

Mars while retrograde, is the blade, the power, turned inward  to re-assess the re-visions already made by the firm and steadfast Virgo intellect.  During Mars retrograde, Virgos will heal themselves.
Any and all work not deemed perfect by the perfectionist within will be revived, re-invigorated and resolved.

Natal planets between 23 and 3 degrees of Virgo will feel this Mars Rx strongly by conjunction.  Pisces planets by opposition, and Gemini and Sagittarius will feel Mars Rx by square.

Raw Power

Last night I was reading tarot in bed and pulled all four Aces.  Now that doesn’t happen everyday, has only happened to me once that I can remember, in my readings for myself.  I have been reading tarot for 27 years.


I learn the most by reading for myself and seeing how the cards play out in my life.  I find it the best way to be exact in readings with others because I am so familiar with the energies on a personal level.

Last nights reading reminded me of an old friend of mine that had kids…I stayed with them for awhile in between living arrangements.  Her boys were young – squirming in their chairs, slurping noodles, making faces, and rocking back in their seats.  I often heard her exclaim, “Four on the floor !” meaning chair legs down, sit still and eat now !

Steady as she goes, Captain. 

All four Aces will bring fresh new creative energies in all phases of life.
Aces are the pure, raw, initial outgoing energy of the suit – Cardinal energy !  New things are on their way… !

Wands = Fire, creative energy and inspiration
Pentacles= Earth, skill sets and building on the material plane
Swords= Air, intellect, communications, socializing
Cups= Water, emotions, intuition, compassion

Reading tarot is like reading natal charts – identify the predominant energies, and how are they operating and where.  Tarot card placement in a spread is just as important as planetary placements.  How do the cards blend, how do the planets work together..?

Once I was astonished at the number of wands in my spread, almost all of them were.   Soon thereafter, I had news that brought on a bit of a panic.  (Luckily, wands energy moves quickly, it soon passed.)

One sad day before work, I drew the Death card covered by the Empress.  I went to work only to have my boss tell me a good friend had died.  I knew the couple and was close friends with them both, and their kids.   I drew a card to help comfort my girlfriend after her husband had passed – a message from him, if he could – and pulled the 2 of Cups.  That was so perfect, and tarot is right on the money, just like astrology.

The Page of Wands means a good message – incoming or outgoing depending on the placement in the spread.

Right before my lunch, I drew the Ace of Wands in the final card position.
Creative energy !
Now made manifest !

They found that morning people’s brains were most excitable at 9 a.m. This slowly decreased through the day.
It was the polar opposite for evening people, whose brains were most excitable at 9 p.m.

Evening people became physically stronger throughout the day, but the maximum amount of force morning people could produce remained the same.

I have experimented asking people if they are larks (am people) or owls (pm people) by looking at their charts.
I have speculated on planetary placements and emphasis above or below the horizon, the position of Neptune and Moon (sleep) and their aspects.   At this time, my results are across the board.

Insomnia can be indicated by hard aspects to Moon, Mercury, Mars, Uranus or Neptune in the natal.

Mars superpowers what it transits with energy, restlessness.
Mercury transits can indicate increased nervous tension.
Uranus transits indicate a sudden change.

If any or these transits are in hard aspect to Moon or Neptune – it may disrupt your sleep patterns.
Dreams are Moon, Neptune and 9th house (Sagittarius) or higher planes of thinking and traveling.

So in that case, siesta !
I love naps.  Neptune most highly aspected, Moon exalted in Taurus, with the majority of my planets in the south. 
(Near the mid-heaven or noon).

laying your ley lines

I have been reading a book The Infinite Possibilities of a Balanced Brain: Limitless You by Lee Gerdes.  I have not finished it, as I am queen of the multi-task: I am working, writing, listening to astrology metaphysical shows while I clean, and reading several books all at once.  Usually every book is worth at least one gem, if you’re lucky you get a Fleetwood Mac Rumors.

This book reminded me of one of my therapy sessions.  Jane, (wonderful lady !) my therapist, encouraged me to journal my experiences.  I would have none of that – I lived it once, why on Earth would I want to document  the ugly hell ?  Now some of you may find journaling helpful to process it, whatever works for you to help you feel better.

This is how I see it… ( and what the book above reinforced )
Imagine the trail of your thoughts – do you always go the same route – are you depressed or angry or disappointed in yourself ?
How many times a day do you think (or worse, yet – say aloud) you are stupid, worthless or a failure ?

fyi: My chart ruler is Saturn (restriction) going backwards (Rx) and in it’s fall (in Aries), so I am very familiar with this scenario.
 I have Sun (ego, spirit) conjunct Uranus/ Pluto (mistakes, constant ego hits) right up near the midheaven in Virgo where everyone, and I do mean everyone can see it.  In Virgo no less, the sign that craves perfection, sigh.  Mistakes horrify me, I am familiar with the feeling of failure, but I do not give up.  Ever.   I RISE UP.   Folks, meet the curse/blessing of Plutonian power.

Basically, when these negative thoughts are roads travelled over and over and over again, they are like ley lines in your brain, places you give your attention to – they gain power  through repeated reinforcement.  Choose carefully what you think and say to yourself in your mind’s eye.  To what end will you direct your infinite power, your life force, your chi ?  Be Mindful.

Here is your immediate help.  ~> Train your thoughts.

When a negative thought pops up – recognize it – and replace it with a good one.  If you feel your mind twirling in the quiet moments, start with the letter A and go through the entire alphabet choosing a positive word to describe yourself for each letter.

Then do it AGAIN.
It works, trust me.

Calm the monkey mind – pick birds, or artists or songs, star clusters, whatever ! – for each letter – just stay positive, okay…?!
The Four Noble Truths lead to the Eight-fold Path.

Do you have fixed squares in your natal chart ?  Squares represent inner conflict.  The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius – fixed is just what it sounds like – immovable, stuck, rooted.  Any squares in these signs indicate deeply ingrained patterns that have become fixed over several lifetimes.

Fixed squares are self-will given free rein.
