laying your ley lines

eyedee by perrelet, deviant art

I have been reading a book The Infinite Possibilities of a Balanced Brain: Limitless You by Lee Gerdes.  I have not finished it, as I am queen of the multi-task: I am working, writing, listening to astrology metaphysical shows while I clean, and reading several books all at once.  Usually every book is worth at least one gem, if you’re lucky you get a Fleetwood Mac Rumors.

This book reminded me of one of my therapy sessions.  Jane, (wonderful lady !) my therapist, encouraged me to journal my experiences.  I would have none of that – I lived it once, why on Earth would I want to document  the ugly hell ?  Now some of you may find journaling helpful to process it, whatever works for you to help you feel better.

This is how I see it… ( and what the book above reinforced )
Imagine the trail of your thoughts – do you always go the same route – are you depressed or angry or disappointed in yourself ?
How many times a day do you think (or worse, yet – say aloud) you are stupid, worthless or a failure ?

fyi: My chart ruler is Saturn (restriction) going backwards (Rx) and in it’s fall (in Aries), so I am very familiar with this scenario.
 I have Sun (ego, spirit) conjunct Uranus/ Pluto (mistakes, constant ego hits) right up near the midheaven in Virgo where everyone, and I do mean everyone can see it.  In Virgo no less, the sign that craves perfection, sigh.  Mistakes horrify me, I am familiar with the feeling of failure, but I do not give up.  Ever.   I RISE UP.   Folks, meet the curse/blessing of Plutonian power.

Basically, when these negative thoughts are roads travelled over and over and over again, they are like ley lines in your brain, places you give your attention to – they gain power  through repeated reinforcement.  Choose carefully what you think and say to yourself in your mind’s eye.  To what end will you direct your infinite power, your life force, your chi ?  Be Mindful.

Here is your immediate help.  ~> Train your thoughts.

When a negative thought pops up – recognize it – and replace it with a good one.  If you feel your mind twirling in the quiet moments, start with the letter A and go through the entire alphabet choosing a positive word to describe yourself for each letter.

Then do it AGAIN.
It works, trust me.

Calm the monkey mind – pick birds, or artists or songs, star clusters, whatever ! – for each letter – just stay positive, okay…?!

Do you have fixed squares in your natal chart ?  Squares represent inner conflict.  The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius – fixed is just what it sounds like – immovable, stuck, rooted.  Any squares in these signs indicate deeply ingrained patterns that have become fixed over several lifetimes.

Fixed squares are self-will given free rein.

Co-operation and the ability to work harmoniously with others must be cultivated or the body will be the end terminal for difficulties.  The inner conflict on the mental plane will manifest outwardly and cause illness in the physical body.
I speak from personal experience, I was mentally and physically sick for a very long time until I finally got a clue.  I have fixed squares from Leo on the 8th to Scorpio on the 11th, both are fixed signs rooted in fixed houses.

When you vibrate to the highest level of energy mentally, you will manifest and attract magnetically the highest vibrations physically as well.  You will attract people and situations that are in synchronization with what you are vibrating personally.

What follows is a quickie planetary energy guide :
High <-> Low

Sun:  generosity, hope——————-pride, conceit
Moon:  sensitivity, caring—————fickle, weakness
Mercury:  ideas, learning—————-gossipy, worry
Venus:  love, art, beauty——————vanity, laziness, vulgarity
Mars:  energetic, enthusiasm————aggravate, lust, anger
Jupiter:  faith, optimism—————-overconfidence, extravagance
Saturn:  self-discipline, faithfulness—-pessimism, severity
Uranus:  individuality, curious———-unreliable, desertion
Neptune:  inspiration, spirituality——–deception, illusion, delusion
Pluto:  inner power, rebirth—————-obsession, helplessness

From every power that holds the world in chains, man frees himself when self-control he gains.

Venus (love) is coming to conjunct Chiron (the wounded healer) and it took me what seemed like forever to heal myself, but I did.  Now, hopefully, I can help heal you as well.  If you want your natal chart, follow the link on the right – astrodienst – and enter your birth information, if you get lost or have questions, comments are welcome.

open field

The Key – Whitley Strieber

I just got this book from the library today, and I am loving the unusual viewpoint.  I read Communion when it was released, loved Christopher Walken in the movie, find the whole discussion and subject of alien life forms simply fascinating. I have Sun conj Uranus/Pluto on the 9th and all the far – out wacko stuff calls me like a siren song, an irresistible magnetic beacon ~

Anyway, to the new book…it is based on an encounter Whitley had with a mysterious stranger who knocked on his hotel door late at night during a book tour and wanted to talk.  The book is an account of the intriguing conversation between Whitley and who he calls The Master of the Key. Much of what I have read so far (58 pages into 239) revolves around the energetic body and meditation as the path to higher consciousness.  Here is an excerpt:

Whitley :  What are psychics ?

Master of the Key : A part of the electromagnetic field that fills the nervous system rests a few centimeters above the skin, outside of the body.  This field is an organ just like the heart or the brain.  It is in quantum superposition, the electrons effectively everywhere in the universe and nowhere specific.  It may be imprinted by information from anywhere and any time.  With it, you may see other worlds, you may see the past and future, you may see the lives of those around you. [snip]
In psychics, there is either an inborn or learned ability to balance the attention in such a way that these impressions do not cause this organ to become focused into particulate form.  The ability to control this organ can be developed.

Fascinating, yes ? ! ?  Have you read it ? Let’s discuss !
There is lots of discussion on electro-magnetics, quantum physics, and spirituality.  You will find some of my posts on electromagnetics here.
I am off to read…perfect subject matter for Venus into Pisces ! Meditation is a 12th house (Pisces rules) study.
I have Sagittarius the explorer on 12, and spiritual Neptune most highly aspected ~ wheee !
Spiritual study a cha cha !  yippie !  xo

Astrobling

One of the things I love about astrology is how it explains so much about people.
Astrology explains who and what, even how you like.
For instance Neptune is my most highly aspected planet and it rules the sea.
I should be an ocean gal, then right..?!
No.
Mountain girl all the way !
Why is that..?
My Neptune has squares (conflict), while my chart ruler, Saturn (Saturn is Earth, rules Capricorn my Ascendant, is the mountain goat) has a trine (ease) to Mars.
That feels better.
Look to your chart, you will find yourself naturally going for the trines and sextiles every time.  They are the back door, the trapdoor, and the secret passage out of trouble with squares and oppositions in your chart.

Here is a pic of stuff I had gathered pre-astro knowledge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have Saturn trine Mars (steel, fire & the forge).

Sun conjunct the morphed metal is my Virgo Sun conjunct Uranus Pluto (heat, change, morph, forge) in the 9th (lucky horseshoe).I have Libra at Midheaven (ruled by Venus, art), hence balance sculpture/art.
My Venus (art, friends) is conjunct Jupiter in Leo (creativity, luck).
I am an artist, and have creative friends, I like cats.
I have a ‘thing’ about naming things. Mercury (names) at MC, with Neptune (fictitious names) most highly aspected.
I have changed my name to something mystical – representing polarities, time and union.
My cats have names that mean ‘friend’.
Neptune is my most highly aspected planet and it rules film & photography.

Look to your chart to see what you like written in the symbols of the skies …

purple haze

A friend of mine once told me he could tell I was in a good mood because he could see purple lights around me.

He was a cool guy…quiet…known for being pretty zen (he showed up as Gandhi one Halloween), so not too surprised he could see my aura.

In the right light I can see a faint haze of color around people, and Ravi Shankar had an aura I could see plain as day.

Kirlian photography , also called corona (aura) discharge, is a high voltage, contact print photography. The process is simple. Sheet film is placed on top of a metal plate, called the discharge or film plate. The object to photograph is placed on top of the film when High voltage is applied to the plate momentarily to make an exposure. The corona discharge between the object and discharge plate passes through and is recorded onto the film.  When the film is developed you have a Kirlian photograph of the object.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Interesting isn’t it, that the organic mushroom looks much more lively and healthy ?!  Raw foodies won’t be shocked to see raw uncooked veggies seem to have the best auras.
It was also noted that where an amputated finger had been removed, the aura of the missing finger still showed up in the photo.  This lead me to a fascinating article by Rupert Sheldrake concerning phantom or amputated limbs still having a connection with the physical body.
I recently had a computer reading that is called Aura photography, but is more a bio-scan of stress levels.  It will shoot out a color report of your ‘aura’ – complete with graphs and scales of how active each chakra in your body is.
I had a few bucks to blow, and I was curious to see what was up.
What- are you kidding me- ?!  If it’s weird, I’m in !  lol.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So of course, I had to experiment with some crystals and stones in the photo to see if it changed anything.
I am holding a very clear blue fluorite and a lodestone (bottom left), which changed the intensity of color a bit.

I intentionally fuzzed out the pic so the colors are the focus, so to speak.
(Snowy Owl mask for Pluto transiting my 1st…)

It appears I have a high-frequency aqua-marine aura.
A scored of about 90 out of 100, meaning my aura travels farther than most.  Maybe you have seen it out & about…?
50 on root chakra, 60 in sacral, 80 solar plexis, 90 heart, 95 throat, 95 third eye, 90 crown.
Primary colors: blue = depth, green = manifestation
I am drawn to blue and green stones, Neptune (blue) squares to Leo (heart, green)  I feel they fortify me somehow, it’s hard to explain, but they feel good.
Recently I grabbed a pyrite for a few days when I needed grounding, (it is carved in a heart shape-ha irony !) and it was soothing. Keep in mind Saturn (rules rocks, earth) rules my chart.
Despite the fact that I am full of earth, I am constantly trying to guide my Neptune, so I keep crystals all over me and my house and I feel it helps.

I am also glugging quite a lot of my homemade clematis essence (helps to ground dreams into reality) that I specially harvested during the last Pisces full moon.

Aquamarine aura means compassionate, peaceful nature, easy flowing relationships.
Giant Neptuner ? ~ bingo!
Also of note with further reading I see it is the color most indicative of polarities.  This I find very interesting, as I have been told by an intuitive that I AM here to learn about polarities.  That lodestone I am holding in the pic – magnetic.
My Uranus is oriental, conjunct Sun and Uranus rules magnetics and polarities.
My Mercury is at Mid-heaven and Mercury is dualistic.
Trickster/messenger.

What color is your aura ?

how many x

Saturn rules spiders, they build.

I am careful not to destruct their webs while walking through my yard.
I just sit and watch them spin, they fascinate me.
Building.  Always building.  Work, work and more work.

Spider, my yard

Spinning all sorts of webs, not just orbs like you see pasted up in Halloween windows,  but funnels and string lines with lassos, all sorts of designs to suit the purpose.
I wonder how many webs a spider spins during their life ?  How many times does their masterpiece get wrecked to the point it is better to leave it and start over on another one ?
Pluto is wrecking ball my Saturn right now.

Asheville, NC artist.  Please, forgive, too many years ago to remember.

Neptune is opposing my Venus Jupiter conjunction in the 8th, and I want to build art.
I want the materials and tools (Mars) in my hands.  (Saturn in Aries 3rd, trine Mars in Sag)
I love to work with my hands (Gemini 6th).  I love leatherwork.  (Saturn rules me and leather)  I love the way it smells and the way the wrinkles in the hide feel underneath my fingertips when I lace it with sinew.  (Toro Moon 4th)

Gneiss Moon

It’s dead, and I’m Plutonic.
Skulls, bones, feathers, hides, skins, rocks, crystals, quills, furs, twigs and sticks, axes and arrowheads are all over my place.  Death is a part of life.  I get the feng shui, and I practice it my way.  The dead stuff stays.

I’m pretty Uranian too with Neptune waterfalling all over my chart from the 11th and Uranus/Pluto conjunct Sun in the 9th.

I’m self – taught in many areas, I prefer it to classes, tests and schedules.
What I want to learn, no school around here teaches anyway.

Lights on, not home

Do you have empty houses in your natal chart ?  Don’t panic, it doesn’t mean you are shut out of that house… it simply means the bulk of the lessons you are here to learn are not located in the area of life that house represents.  For instance, my 7th house (marriage, partnerships) is empty and I’ve been married.  So if your 7th house is empty too, don’t panic and envision spinsterhood just yet.

Aquarius lands on the empty 2nd house in my chart – but I have an active Uranus, which is the ruler of Aquarius.  My most highly aspected planet, Neptune is in the 11th house, natural house of Aquarius, and it sextiles Uranus.

My Uranus is oriental (rising before) the sun with exactly 5 degrees of separation ( I mention this because the number 5= change and challenge, Uranus is the planet of unexpected changes).  With Uranus rising oriental (guiding my) Sun (and conjunct Pluto) I have an innate quality of change, an ability and  to morph, mutate and transform my ego (Sun).  This whammy conjunction is also near Mid-heaven, or on display. (waves !)

Keep in mind any planet conjunct a luminary is super charged in your chart because it is mainlining your conscious (sun) or unconscious (moon) self.

My Sun, Uranus, Pluto conjunction is also trine my Moon – so again my Uranus is active even if the 2nd house of Aquarius is empty.  I knew (Aquarian motto: I know) the minute I woke up – and the thought popped into my head (intuition, higher octave of Mercurial thinking) lights on (Uranus rules electricity) no one home (empty Aquarius).

Find the ruler of the empty house in your chart to identify how the house and its energies are activated in your life.

good fortune

Well…no wonder I love fortune cookies !
Cookies are Venus and Jupiter ruled – both of which I have in the 8th house.

The 8th house is the natural house of Scorpios – secret compartment freaks~
!? whats inside ?!
I have fun-loving Leo there, and we LOVE toys and games.

Surprises are Uranus which I have conjunct Sun (gifts) and my Uranus is conjunct destructive Pluto.
Destroy cookie, get curious surpise ~ancient wisdom ~
All of these planets in my chart are in aspect to Neptune or fortunes !
nom nom nom

I made them once for my ex-boyfriend and sadly, they turned out like greasy little pancakes.
(He scored points by eating them anyway )
I still write my own fortunes.  I accidentally got a hilarious translation a few years ago when my document margins slipped, and two fortunes got smooshed together.
It read:    You will soon see a rare bird.  Dinner !

~~~~~~~
The history of the fortune cookie is fascinating…did you know they used to be tucked in the crack, not inside ?!
The fortune above is beautiful, yes ?!
~~~~~~~
Fortune cookie researcher, Yasuko Nakamachi, a Japanese grad student, found the cookie’s Japanese origins, in an illustration from a 19th-century book of stories, “Moshiogusa Kinsei Kidan.”  A character in one of the tales is an apprentice in a senbei store.

In Japan, the cookies are called, variously, tsujiura senbei (“fortune crackers”), omikuji senbei (“written fortune crackers”), and suzu senbei (“bell crackers”).
