It’s a void moon in Pisces and Uranus is trine the Mercury Venus conjunction so grab your pendulums, folks.

Uranus rules pendulums.
Mercury + Venus = love communication.
Pisces is the cosmos, divination; the Moon, intuition, receptivity.
A trine is the easy swift path between energies.

Moon enters Aries at 1:02 pm Sunday, CST USA.

A void moon is when the moon is not making any significant aspects before leaving the sign it is in.  The Moon rules feelings, intuition, fluctuation, subconscious, the public.  When the moon is adrift in the sky (so to speak) all these matters may wildly fluctuate.

Some folks say that the time of a void moon is a time to stop everything that involves judgement, signing contracts, starting projects or otherwise getting involved with decision making.    I suggest you follow your intuition where this is concerned, though I do suggest caution, after all…better safe than sorry.

Neptune is my most highly aspected planet and it falls in the 11th (natural house of Aquarius, Uranus rules) and my Sun is conjunct Uranus, meaning I get the vibes, and I go with it.  I treat most void moons as if they were dark moons, or introspective times to retreat into quiet thinking, contemplation- a time for release.

I sense it is very similar to a momentary retrograde where the moon energies take a break from going out, and instead flow inward.  It is very much like a high tide and low tide- after all moon is what brings the ocean tides.  The energies are flowing from the outside towards the inside.  Prime divination time- try it !

Above all, the Moon is intuitive so go with what you feel regarding void moons.

As a rule I get better results from a pendulum when I am not feeling well.

Here’s why : Moon rules Cancer, which rules the breast and stomach.  I have Moon (intuition) on the 4th (natural house of Cancer) in Taurus (exalted) opposite Neptune (divination) in Scorpio (metaphysics, the unseen) on the 11th (natural house of Uranus-pendulums- ruled Aquarius).  Uranus rules stress, pendulums, and my stomach issues are stress-induced with high-strung energies of Mercury (MC) and Uranus strong in my chart.  Mercury (communication) is sextile (oportunity) the 8th (unseen) and Uranus is sextile Neptune (opportunity for whammy divination), so if my vibes are outta whack, or strong Uranus action is happening- Yowsa !
Alex- “What is_____” for $500. lol

I have successfully dowsed a hidden water line in my backyard, the gender of unborn babies, and scratch-off lotto wins.  (No I won’t give you the winning numbers, lol. )

Each user generally has a particular direction for yes, no, maybe that is unique to them.  When I began dowsing, I asked which direction meant each answer and it has followed the same since- except when I change pendulums.  In which case, I ask the new pendulum for each direction/ answer when I begin.

I have used Odin stones on leather thongs, forked sticks, rods, rings.
Sacred space, reverence and purpose is the key.  I ask each time I enter sacred space what means what and move forward from there. Some pendulums differ directionally or are very fast/slow it depends on the pendulum. Each pendulum has an inherent energy signature.  Merry meet, find ways & part.

I have 3 crystal pendulums and vary the stone pendulum in accordance to the type of question being asked.  In matters of health and love I have an amethyst & rose quartz, for business I use sardonyx.  I also have a faceted clear crystal which has an energy that is off the charts ~ it is like the Ferrari of pendulums, seriously ~ quicksilver, fast and wild !

Makes sense, since Mercury is quicksilver, and Uranus is Mercury’s higher octave- facets in a gem allow for more refraction of light.  Sun is light, illumination, Mercury quicksilver communication, Uranus prisms, telepathy, Neptune rainbows and divination.

Dowsing works well with a forked stick and a ring on a string, so don’t get the impression that I am all about needing fancy stone pendulums.  Simply open your mind and your eyes to the possibilities, everything on Earth is sacred and vibrating at one speed or another…as long as it swings, it’ll work.

Check your chart for where Mercury, Uranus and Neptune fall and the aspects they make for an indication of your dowsing talents.

Before I go, one last thing…my brother Jeff (mega- Aquarian) took me to the Wheel Bar in Estes Park, Colorado in the early 80’s where we sat and watched this giant pendulum (that I put into motion) make a spirograph drawing while we ate.
Was the coolest thing ever for 2 Uranian arty types to be doing, really.  (Uranus also rules scientific contraptions.)

This post is dedicated to my friend who has lost a friend, and to my brother, Jeff who I miss every day.

Indian Larry

May I introduce  a man of quality – bike builder, stuntman, and an innovator in the world of custom motorcycles, ‘Indian Larry’ Desmedt.

When he was a teenager when he bought his first motorbike, a 1939 Harley Knucklehead, for $200. He took it apart and spent the next nine months learning how to put it back together again. He later moved to California and apprenticed under hot rod builder Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, later launching his own Brooklyn-based Gasoline Alley motorcycle workshop in 1991.

Indian Larry is credited with re-popularizing the stripped down, tall handlebar, foot clutched, jockey shifted, no front brake or fender, small gas tank, open piped, kickstart only, stock rake choppers that prevailed in the 60s, before long front ends became popular.  He was old school.

~~~
Indian Larry is a life path 1.  Ones are the intial creative force, the fresh, new and innovative – raw, and powerful.
Larry is mega- Taurus with Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus – which is sitting right on top of Moon-, all in the house of slow and steady work and progress.  When Larry was younger he was convicted of bank robbery, drug addicted, and he changed his life around by conceptualizing and building old school choppers.
Venus rules not only art, but money as well.  Venus rules Taurus, in addition to Libra.  His Moon (feelings) is plunked right on top of Venus in Taurus Sun (ego, creative spirit) right there with it.   Now see the Neptune (spirituality, suffering)  in Libra (balance) in quincunx to Moon and Venus?  A quincunx indicates a change in attitude & altitude.  Larry gave up the self-destructive hedonism for a creative high.  That tattoo on his neck reads “In God We Trust – Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord – No Fear.”   The middle two lines were in reverse so that he could read them when looking in a mirror.
Saturn is trine Sun, Mars North Node of Destiny and sextile Uranus.  He channelled his rebellious streak (Uranus) into revolutionary builds (Mars, Saturn).
Mars (welding, the hammer, raw power) is conjunct North Node of Destiny in Aries, the sign it rules.  Mars is also a 1.  Headlong raw power conjunct North Node.
Sun, Venus, Mars all in square to Jupiter in the sign of innovation, Aquarius.
Those are spirit, art, and power planets in creative tension with the greater benefic, the planet of faith and expansive, exploratory ideas- Jupiter.
Obviously riding the open road on a custom built chopper of his design gave him a natural high.
Sun, Moon, Venus all in square to Pluto in Leo.  Creativity supercharged and by following his inspiration, he changed his life, and the lives of many others for the better.
Indian Larry was kind, generous, and a friend to many- we remember you well.
Peace out~>
Drive
May I introduce an extremely diverse musician who has been nominated in more categories than any other musician in Grammy history, Mr. Béla Fleck.  Winner of 12 Grammies in categories such as pop, country, jazz and crossover, Bela is a banjo virtuoso.
~~~~~~~
Keep in mind this is a solar chart, I don’t have Bela’s birth time. Planets in the signs remain the same, houses may change.

Bela is a life path 4.  Fours are all about building foundations, stability, and manifestation in the physical universe.

Bela’s intuitive Cancer Sun is quintile (spiritual gifts) his sensate (exalted) Taurus Moon.  He is firing on all cylinders conscious spirit and subconscious instincts dovetailing as he lays down every note !  This quintile is really good because Bela’s Sun is the apex (under pressure) of one of two T-Squares.

T-squares mean the apex planet feels supercharged – it forces creative solutions to manifest the planetary energy.
Sun in the natal represents the spirit, life force, creative expression from the heart.

Bela’s Sun is square (creative tension) Mars (in Aries, the sign Mars rules) and Sun is also square Jupiter (expansion, abundance) in Venus (art) ruled Libra.  Jupiter is opposite (awareness, compromise between energies) power-hungry Aries Mars.

Mars rules Aries, so it is pioneering (Aries, Mars) creative energy (Sun) expressed in a visionary, exploratory way (Jupiter).  Bela’s Mars is not only opposite Jupiter, it also sits on the decan (each 30 degree sign has 3 sub-rulers, called decans) of Jupiter meaning his Mars is steeped in visionary philosophy, luck and abundance.

Mars (drive) is also opposite (creative tension) Neptune (rules string instruments) which is on the decan of Mars.  That apex Sun sits on the Mars decan, too.  Saturn (building over time) is trine (harmony of energies) Mars.  Pluto (fire in the belly metamorph) is on the decan of Mercury, trine Mars.
Mars is also quintile the Midheaven or peak of achievements.
Why, you may ask am I going on & on about Mars…?

Mars rules drums.
A banjo is actually a drum head stretched over a tone ring.

How cool is that ?!   exactly.
*astrology takes a deep bow*

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bela’s second T-Square culminates in not one, but two apex planets- Mercury (communication, dexterity) conjunct Uranus (intuition, electricity [banjo], innovation).
Mercury is thinking, it’s higher octave, Uranus is knowing.  They are tightly conjunct – mainlining each other’s energies !    That’s a lightning fast conjunction of perception and polarities in the creative sign of Leo, the root of willpower.
So communication in both octaves – inside and outside the head – is on fire (leading).  Willpower, and creative self-expression is all systems go.  Day and Night.  (Sun quintile – spiritual gifts from the cosmos- Moon.)
Mercury/Uranus are square the exalted Taurus Moon (Mercury rules sound, Taurus how lovely the sound is) which is opposite Neptune (strings).
Ok, so dig this… Jupiter (visionary ideas) is conjunct North Node of Destiny which is conjunct Neptune (string instruments and the inspired artist).
And, Venus (art, beauty) is trine Jupiter, and the Node of Destiny and Neptune conjunction via the domino effect.
Ba DA Bing !
What I love about the clip below is Bela’s description of the intuitive, inspirational, creative process that comes like a bolt out of the blue ~ gotta bottle it fast , or risk losing it !
Funny, as I was going to write about Victor, the multi-award winning bass player in the Flecktones – don’t worry Victor fans, his chart will be coming later – but when I saw this clip it so perfectly expressed Bela’s tight Mercury Uranus conjunction, I switched paths when his quote inspired me.
Then I looked up the synastry.  Love this !
Bela’s drive (Mars) is opposite (awareness, co-operation) my Mercury (writing).
My Mercury is conjunct his Jupiter, Node of Destiny and Neptune conjunction.  cool.
Thanks for all the groovy tunes and inspiration~
bees knees
Ok, how adorable is Patricia Clarkson ?!  Every movie I see her in I just love.  The Station Agent, Cairo Time, are my faves.
I just had to look up her deets ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No wonder I like her, we have good synastry…!  She has Sun, Moon, and Saturn all tightly conjunct in Capricorn all trine Pluto in Virgo, and sextile Neptune.

A quick run down of the synastry: All of Patricia’s Capricorn stuff is conjunct my ascendant.  I can’t help but love Saggos, it’s in my blood.  Her Venus is conjunct my Neptune, my Sun conjunct her North Node, her Uranus conjunct my Jupiter.

Highly ambitious, hardworking, and perceptive, she studied drama at Fordham University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and earned her MFA at the Yale School of Drama.
Patricia is cool as a cucumber and if you have seen her work, you know she is a real class act.

Mercury, Mars and Jupiter are all tightly conjunct in Sagittarius, all trine Uranus in Leo !
ta DA !  Built for the spotlight !

SoOo all the raucous fun is just busting to get out  from underneath that cool conservative Capricorn demeanor.  Venus and Neptune are both in Scorpio giving her a deep well of unseen passions that pours forth in her work.
Patricia’s Scorpio Venus is square Uranus in Leo, lightning bolt passions !

Here’s the 7 minutes in Heaven interview that led me on this merry chase, she is cute as a button !
Mike O’Brien is adorable, and she is the one actress he’s interviewed that really goes for the kiss– love it !
We watch Mike fall in love a little bit…but who wouldn’t she’s great !

Savatiri

Savitri is a Sanskrit word meaning stimulator or rouser and is often associated with inspiration; it also has been used to refer to as the light of the Sun, the literal and spiritual Sun.

This light has the power to inspire us on many levels of our being.  Savitri, in fact, is not different from who we truly are…rather it is a symbol of the great power that exists within all beings, providing inspiration to strive higher to find the Truth- in our lives and of our existence.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MUMBAI, India (AP) — More than 200 Indian girls whose names mean “unwanted” in Hindi chose new names Saturday for a fresh start in life.  The 285 girls — wearing their best outfits with barrettes, braids and bows in their hair — lined up to receive certificates with their new names along with small flower bouquets from Satara district officials in Maharashtra state.
In shedding names like “Nakusa” or “Nakushi,” which mean “unwanted” in Hindi, some girls chose to name themselves after Bollywood stars like “Aishwarya” or Hindu goddesses like “Savitiri.”
Some just wanted traditional names with happier meanings, such as “Vaishali” or “prosperous, beautiful and good.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is such a joyous occasion for these young girls to be shed of the patriarchal confines of the label unwanted.  Unthinkable, a disgrace to all women, all people, everywhere to be deemed unworthy or unwanted solely based on their sex and/or gender.
This is just the beginning, the first step into a new world for these young girls !
Fabulous example of the current (Saturdays) astro:
Mother- Goddess Divine Feminine power Lilith opposite (taking back power) Sun and Saturn – male patriarchal driven society/authority.
Jupiter (hope, ethics)  in Taurus  (ownership, self-worth)  trine Pluto (overthrowing) Capricorn male authority and status quo.
Moon (feminine, soul, emotions) conjunct Mars (power) in Leo (heart, ego, will power), and pride.
Moon and Mars sextile (opportunity) Sun and Saturn (justice, status) in Venus-ruled (feminine, love, beauty) Libra, the sign of balance.
Neptune – creative names/naming conjunct Chiron the open wound that needs healing.
Mercury (names) conjunct Venus (beauty, love).
master of anatomy
Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo Buonarroti was a master of human anatomy.
Pictured below is a detail from Pieta, located in St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City.  Michelangelo was a life path 8, signifying strength, power, success and responsibility.
Michelangelo was a Pisces Sun, Moon and Mars , with grand water trines and a kite as well (ease in expressing the energies of planets involved).  Visionary Sagittarius was rising at the time of his birth, chart ruler expansive, wise Jupiter in Aquarius the sign of revolutionary inventors in square (creative tension) to Venus (art), and quintile Neptune, the higher octave of Venus (inspired artists).
Sun conjunct Mars with Moon conjunct Mercury from the 3rd is very passionate thinker, concerned about how they communicate the solar and lunar principle.  Michelangelo slept near his artwork – positively lived and breathed creativity while awake and sleeping.
Sun and Mars in the perceptive 3rd, in opposition to Pluto in Virgo in the 9th, not only gives an intense eye for detail, but a talent for provoking radical transformations in others through the actions in life.  Uranus conjunct Neptune in Scorpio indicates an innovative, inspired artist capable of reaching into personal depths for creative inspiration.  What great depth of feeling that resonated through Saturn in Cancer through his precise, detailed work.  Works of art that have inspired millions of people over many generations.
Scorpio types love their secrets, love the murky depths and the mysteries of life.  Scorpio is the house of sex, metaphysics and the unseen and death.  How do you get to be a master of anatomy..?  You spend hours studying the human form – from the inside out.
Considering I have now seen Michelangelo’s chart and see that Neptune (inspired art), Uranus (curiosity), Pluto (analysis regarding health and death – particularly in Virgo) are all highly elevated, I am not surprised by this.
Miraculous
I have long been interested in the martyred saints even though I am not catholic.  Pictured on the postcard below is Saint Jude, one of the 12 apostles of Christ.  He was martyred along with Saint Simon for bringing the gospel to Persia.
Saint Jude’s attribute is a club. He is also often shown in icons with a flame around his head. This represents his presence at Pentecost, when he received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles. Another common attribute is Jude holding an image of Jesus Christ, in the image of Edessa. In some instances he may be shown with a scroll or a book (the Epistle of Jude) or holding a carpenter’s rule.
Jude is invoked in desperate situations because his New Testament letter stresses that the faithful should persevere in the environment of harsh, difficult circumstances, just as their forefathers had done before them. Therefore, he is the patron saint of desperate cases and his feast day is October 28.
::::::::::::::::::::::
You ever seen a catholic calendar ? – filled  with feast days.  That’s a lot of martyred saints.  eep.  That’s kinda creepy.
I have a book of patron saints, This Saints for You, guaranteed to fascinate, promise!  Saints can help you sell your house, have a successful garage sale, or if you work with explosives, call on Saint Barbara.  No kidding.
You ever read messages of thanks to St. Jude in your local free reader or mixed in with the want ads ?
These people are giving thanks to St. Jude because their prayers have been answered.
I found the postcard above while perusing a second hand shop with my college roomie.  I was sick at the time, had been for quite awhile, and being a Beatles fan, and  a big Julian Lennon fan, (Paul wrote the song for him.) I popped a few bucks and took it home.
Hey, what can it hurt to have a little help from your friends, right ?
Well…I started carrying it around and I got better.
Thank you Saint Jude, my prayers were answered.
Martyrs are ruled by Saturn, and saints, Neptune.  Neptune is my most highly aspected planet with squares straight to Leo (ruled by Sun, the solar life force) in the 8th.  The 8th house is death, rebirth, the phoenix rising from the ashes stronger.
Makes sense with the saints, now doesn’t it.  Rising from the ashes, even stronger after death.  Millions pray to them to intercede on their behalf.
Saint Jude is Aquarian, or rather miracles are Uranian and Neptunian, and he fits the bill.  My biggie Neptune is in Scorpio (the occult) on the 11th house (natural house of Aquarius), so a fascination with martyrs (my Neptune square the 8th and death), saints and miracles.
I am Saturn (martyrs) ruled, and have Venus (love, art) conjunct Jupiter (faith) in the 8th (death) square Neptune (miracles).  I am also a big fan of incense, (Mars rules- which in my chart is on the healing 12th), and bells (Venus rules) to clear and bless the energy in the room.
I have Mars (desires, action) in Sagittarius (faith) which is on my 12th house of mysticism.   So, very spiritual, but not conforming to any religious groups. (My Sun /spirit conjunct Uranus of the free and untamed in the 9th house of faith.)
This is what fascinates me about astrology, it explains soOo much when you learn it.  My friend and client was amazed by her current transits info.
“You can see all that?”     ~Yes.   Cool, yeah ?!
Miraculous ~ the universe ~ macro to micro.
Divine. / Divination.
Neptune rules !
(I would be remiss if I did not add that I was bemoaning the very Neptunian chart I have been blessed/cursed with just yesterday (or the day before, I can’t remember !- ha ! Neptune rules fog; Mercury memory) but today I am looking at it differently, not suffering quite so much – feeling more inspired.)
Thanks to my new friend clareflourish who inspired this post by providing this incredible link to Medieval icons. <- sorry, broken link try this one.
I thank you !
Merry Meet & Blessed Be.
adaptation, improvisation
Tonight’s fortune cookies are spot – on !
Sun, (coming up to exact conjunction with ) Saturn conjunct Mercury in the last degree of Libra which is conjunct Venus in Scorpio.  Mercury in the last degrees can be the overflowing cup of communication, so be mindful of your thoughts and speech.
Restriction and what others are doing is on the mind and in the heart now.  Keep the faith and stay positive, define your goals.
This stellium of energies is in opposition to the energies of Moon which just entered Taurus and is approaching Jupiter. Moon opposition will pass quickly, while the Mercury and Venus opposition to Jupiter will last longer.
The combined energies of the stellium and Moon/Jupiter are both square Pluto.   Steady as she goes~
Adaptation, improvisation. – Morphius
Disseminating Toro moon spreads seeds of knowledge gained at the full moon.  Toro moon is patient, steady and likes peaceful surroundings.  Enjoy the break before it lands in restless Gemini…
