Weaving Worlds

Three degrees out on Venus conjunct Chiron in Pisces.

Quick question before work to apply to everyone re: what hidden insights re: this aspect will help us reach our collective highest manifestations.

Strength of God is evident in the artistic representation of Archangel Gabriel.  Saint Gabriel who rules Moon (currently in Virgo), is the patron saint of messengers and all communications workers.  Gabriel helped the prophet Daniel interpret dreams, and is often associated with blowing the horn of judgement.

Gabriel is pictured with a white lily which represents Mary receiving the news of her  blessed pregnancy.  S/he delivers sacred texts, is associated with making seemingly simple messages drop onto our path at the precisely right time resulting in profound perspective shifts.

This is the final marriage of the two trees of life – good & evil, knowledge of both; the wedding of soul & body; time and eternity. Gabriel harmonizes opposites, integrates spirit with manifestation, delivers divine gifts.

This card also exemplifies freedom of spirit consciousness; the heights of sexual flame (genie lamp) known as the little death, heavenly ecstasy on earth.  Divine messages in tandem with working heart, mind and soul results in humanity skillfully executing physical manifestation of higher realms of spirit consciousness here on Earth.

Note Chiron is closely tied to the hero’s journey because he trained heroes.

Master of Two Worlds

“The standard path of the mythological adventure of the hero is a magnification of the formula represented in the rites of passage: separation—initiation—return: which might be named the nuclear unit of the monomyth.

A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man.”

::: Joseph Campbell :::

Makes sense he is all about heroes – Sun (heroes) is exalted in Aries, in trine to Moon in Leo (Sun rules).  What makes a hero ?  < Now that is a class I would love to take !

Five degrees exalted Aries Sun tightly conjunct Mercury exact conjunct Jupiter at six degrees – obviously brilliant teacher / philosopher. In fact, both Mercury and Jupiter are Cazimi, or within 17 minutes of the Sun. This placement is called being in the Heart of the Sun and bestows a very beneficial influence over the cazimi planets.  ( Combust is greater than 17 minutes; less than 10 degrees, is considered less beneficial as the Sun’s rays overpower the energy of the combust planet.)

This whammy trio is the focal point of a T-Square with 29 degree Uranus (culmination degree) in 3rd house Sagittarius making Joseph a unique, cerebral thinker – a visionary explorer.  Uranus opposes 9th house Neptune in Cancer the planet of myths and mythologies in the sign of storytellers and oral traditions.  Great teaching vibe in the 9th house as well – in square to the 6th; detailed analysis of myths and stories from across the globe.

Sixth house Sun, Mercury, Jupiter all trine Moon in Leo 10 – leadership qualities strong, communication of worldly status of the individual in relation to family dynamics and community.  Sensitivity to family pride, fluctuations within tribal self as well as global self.  Examination of creative expressions of self as they relate to global community (Moon, public in 12).

Sagittarius Uranus trine Aries Mars (strong, it rules – in good aspect as well) conjunct descendant in 7th is a pioneer in personal relationships.  Sextiles Saturn in Aquarius 4th so again, solidification of the USE of personal / family / global relationships as they relate to the individual’s journey through life on earth (Saturn).

Venus is exalted in Pisces from the creative 5th house in trine to Neptune in Cancer in 9th, sensitivity strong, heart for teaching inspiring social dynamics, spiritual intelligence behind the personal quest – the quest to not only survive, but succeed.

Aries types are passionate and Gung HO to GO – courageous, inspired leaders who also want YOU to succeed.
 Joseph definitely excelled in inspiring the global community to explore the fool’s journey, the exile, the quest and the redemption and eventual return of the hero.

God, I do love fire signs – bouncing around life’s pre-game: C’mon – Let’s GO !!
Every single thing is a chance for a fun new adventure !
Reading Joseph Campbell inspired George Lucas to write Star Wars – YaY !

(Interesting to note transiting Uranus is conjunct Joseph’s natal Sun/Merc/Jup conjunction – transits remain relevant to the natal chart even after leaving this world – – fascinating, yes ?)

Michael Andrew “Duff” McKagan

One of the first things I did was go to the grocery store to buy food. It was a novel idea at the time, for I hadn’t really shopped for food in about 10 years. Now here I was, 30 years old, and probably doing the first good grocery shopping in my life. I was an adult with a credit card, a checkbook, and an ATM card. I could buy whatever I wanted in the store, but I had no idea where to start. I thought that everyone was staring at me. It had been so long that I had been anywhere sober that I didn’t know how to act or how to deal.

It was like being on LSD. The lights in the store were blaringly bright to me and the music seemed to be playing hidden messages. I bought some milk and barbecue sauce and cigarettes, and that is all. My shirt was drenched in sweat and I was having a full-blown panic attack. As I drove my car home, I stiffly steered my machine out of the way of three accidents as I rode the brakes the whole way. I could smell my brake pads when I got home.

~Duff McKagan, on his sobriety from “It’s so Easy and other lies” (click here)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Duff McKagan rose to fame as bassist for Guns ‘N’ Roses in 1987, when the band released Appetite for Destruction.
It is is the highest selling debut album of all time in the US, with more than 28 million copies sold worldwide.
Next year’s class of inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be headlined by Guns N’ Roses, the only group on the ballot to be inducted in their first year of eligibility.  Click here for Cleveland R&RHoF
I’ve been reading Duff McKagan’s autobiography and obviously GN’R partied, but I had no idea how far it had gone for Duff personally.  He is brutally honest, candid and wryly funny in his accounts of his life as bassist of GN’R.
On May 10, 1994, Duff’s pancreas burst and he was told by his doctor if he had one more drink he would die.  He spent two weeks in the hospital recovering and taking small steps in the early stages of detox.  He credits his sobriety in large part to guilt over seeing his mother suffering from worry while he was in critical care.
He describes his recovery from addiction through a love of mountain biking, and his voracious appetite for reading.  He began to write columns for Seattle Weekly, and later many other publications.  For Seattle Weekly McKagan archives, click here.
While in recovery Duff read GN’R financial documents and found he couldn’t understand them.  He decided to enroll in financial accounting courses (got an A in his first class) and discovered his love of academics.  He earned a 4.0 and was on the President’s list, quite an achievement from the earlier addictions he describes in his book.  When he saw a need for musicians to be educated about their financial holdings and business deals, it lead him to start his own wealth management firm, Meridian Rock, to educate musicians and give them the power to make good business decisions on their own behalf.
Duff is a 9 life path, meaning he is in a lifetime of completion.  Nine is the culminated knowledge of all the numbers before it, and is a number of utopian ideals.  Nines are spiritual and often have a lifetime of overcoming difficulties.  They learn how to succeed themselves, in order to teach the world how to do the same.  (I’m a nine too.)
~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a solar chart, I don’t have the correct birth time, so keep in mind the planets in signs remain the same, houses may change.
First off, I was struck by how Duff has several difficult fixed (ingrained over several lifetimes) squares (inner conflict, obstacles)  involving the Sun (ego, spirit) and Moon (feelings, fluctuation) – they are the luminaries, the conscious (Sun), and unconscious (Moon).
Hopes (Sun) and Dreams (Moon) forming an obstacle to one another.
Moon and Neptune in Scorpio are quiet, secretive and perceptive, if they do not find stimulation, (speaking from my personal experience here; and Duff speaks of facing it in the ring)  they can turn the Scorpio stinger on themselves to feel something, anything.
Moon (habits, instincts) conjunct Neptune can mean addiction in its low vibration, or spiritual healing at its highest vibration.  This conjunction is intuitive, and feels the cosmos coming in.  It is a conjunction that can bring mystical emotions, heightened perceptions, illusions, daydreams and imagination into the waking life 24/7.
Note also the asteroid Dionysus 3671 is opposite Sun and Mars and square Neptune.  Dionysus is symbolic not only of wine and merriment, but also of the sharp pruning of the vine in order for it to bear the best fruit.   Sun (life, spirit), Mars (the blade) and Saturn (pruning) conjunction in Aquarius has indeed led to the bearing of Duff’s best life / fruit.
Coupled with a hedonistic Sun / Mars conjunction in square ( inner tension ) to the often delusional energies of Neptune, that’s one heck of an obstacle.  Sun conjunct Mars is raw power, tempered by Saturn (the tester, restriction, karma) the need to restrict and rein in the wild tendencies inherent to the nature of Aquarius.  That trio of planets in Aquarius, is in itself a hurdle.
Here’s his ace in the hole : Mercury trine Uranus.  Mercury is thinking; Uranus intuition and innovation.  Mercury in good aspect to Uranus is the sign of genius, a quick study.   The mental faculties are very sharp and capable of radical trail-blazing ideas.  Through his love of learning (Mercury is study and is sextile {opportunity} Venus, love) he transformed his life (Sun) his habits, (Moon conjunct Neptune) and his creativity, his love and spiritual health (Venus exalted in Pisces) all by taking the opportunity (sextiles) to learn and stimulate his intellect.
He also took the opportunity (sextile) to keep actively busy through sports (Mars), higher education (Jupiter), and he continually pushes his endurance (Aries) physically in order to improve his self-esteem (Sun).
Duff’s North Node of Destiny is in Cancer, the sign of nurturing.  Once he got himself on his feet, he will push ahead helping others too.  Now Duff is strong in heart, mind, body, and spirit and has a loving family.   He is, by building (Saturn rules building, the earth and rocks)  Meridian Rock  (perfect name- I love it !) reaching out to help his fellow musicians learn how to handle their finances so they can take care of themselves too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Very quickly I want to say a few words about the day Duff was admitted into the hospital with a burst pancreas.  Moon rules the pancreas, and conjunct Neptune in the natal, it can indicate a weakness.  If circumstances in the life and transits activate it, trouble may arise.  Duff speaks in his book of alcoholism and drug use spiraling out of control, and that will further weaken the body.
Transiting Sun 19 Taurus (life-force) was opposite (call for compromise) Moon 19 / Neptune 17 conjunction (addiction) in Scorpio (the house of death and rebirth).  Transiting Moon was also nearing opposition at 11 Taurus.  Transiting Neptune was conjunct natal Mercury (which is trine Uranus in the natal – that’s a wake up call !)   Transiting Pluto and North Node of Destiny were conjunct in Scorpio as well – a call for transformation, rebirth, and rising to meet your destiny.

Sworn to protect

I spoke of the solar Hobbit eclipse, but I did not speak of the men of Middle Earth, one of which is Aragorn, a fine King, a man of quality.

Sun Quintile Uranus

Viggo is a free spirit, a traveler, a multi-talented renaissance man, but most of all, Viggo is a kind man.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Viggo has Sun, North Node of Destiny and Venus conjunct in Libra – let’s face it, he’s handsome, but that’s not all.  He is kind and fair and went to bat for his fellow actors in LoTR – seeking fair pay for work on the trilogy.  A man of quiet power and strength, he has Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune all conjunct in Scorpio.
Moon’s Rapture
Venus is coming up to
conjunct Pluto in Capricorn !
Aquarian fantasy artist Frank Frazetta (solar chart) had Venus closely conjunct Mars in Capricorn, both opposite Pluto, and square Moon.  His Sun and Mercury were opposite Neptune.  Moon was opposite a Uranus Jupiter conjunction in Aries.
Whoa.
It appears he made the most of one Mercury Pluto trine, and one Sun Saturn sextile.
Then we dig deeper and of course, find much, much more.
Sun (spirit)  is trine North Node of Destiny (trailblazing path in the life) and quintile (spiritual gifts) Chiron (the philosopher and the quest).  Moon is quintile Saturn – building a legacy for the public.
Jupiter and Neptune are quintile North Node of Destiny, and Pluto is quintile Chiron – visionary fantasy art on a grand scale that transformed the comic genre forever.
That Venus Mars conjunction in Capricorn gave him exceptional technical skill, and the Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Aries -obviously – look at the power of the human figure in his drawings.
Higher Octave
ok.  So here’s the deal.
Nobody gets outta here alive, folks.
We’ve been dying since the day we were born.
I’m not gonna bring the gloom and doom.
Instead, here’s some love and light.
After all, Mercury rules numbers and is presently conjunct Venus which rules love.
Both planets are at 11 degrees or 2 – balance, relationship between two forces.
11:11 on 11.11.11  ?
What does it mean to you ?  It will happen twice on this day so does
11:11 AM mean illumination, happiness ?
11:11 PM darkness, despair ?
It’s up to you !
It’s a matter of polarities.
Yin/yang, positive/negative, attract/ repel.
It is a matter of polar opposites finding their balance.
It is an awareness of the choice between the two  that counts.
Do you see the rose or the thorn ?
Do you light a candle or curse the darkness ?
I mean c’mon admit it, we all have our bad days.
The attitude / altitude we carry within is what makes the difference.
There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.
There is no black or white in humans.
We are all shades of grey, a fusion of the planetary energies put in place when we were born.
No one is all good or all bad.
We are all creators and destroyers.
We are each and every one a unique gumbo – a perfectly blended human.
We are perfection in chaos.
Here’s the info on the numbers and the vibes:
11.  11 is the beginning of a higher series of numbers and represents a transcendental realm of knowledge.  11 is energy, intuition and perception.  It represents power, strength, and the ability to control baser instincts.
It is the higher octave of 2. (2 is balance, duality, choice)
11.11.11 = 6
6 is harmony within flux, creativity, six is a perfect number- meaning it is both a sum and a product of the first 3 numbers.
11.11.2011 = 8
8 is strength, regeneration, power operating, eternity.  The I Ching uses 64 8 x 8 yarrow configurations.
11:11 on 11.11.11 = 10/ or 1
10 is the Pythagorean symbol of completeness.  Humans have 10 fingers, toes, decimal system, the power of ten.
1 is the root of raw power operating, the creative seed, the leaders.  One multiplied by itself always remains one.
11:11 on 11.11.2011 = 12/ or 3
12 is universal fulfillment, the 12 zodiacal signs, 12 day time hours, 12 night-time hours.
3 is mystical and spiritual, the first flowering expansion from 2.  It signifies increase and exploration.
11+11+11 = 33
33 is a higher octave of 6 (see above) and is the number of illumination, the master teacher and healer.  It is the flower of life, creation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have read over and over that 11:11 is a gateway, a digital code, a door to enlightenment and awakening.
Sure, maybe it is.  Maybe happy hour on Friday is too.

Why not make every moment a doorway to a new and better world ?
Why wait ?

And please don’t let fear of death ruin your life.

Bene Gesserit Litany against fear: Dune

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Yoda:   “A Jedi’s strength flows from the Force. But beware of the dark side. Anger…fear…aggression. The dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did Obi-Wan’s apprentice.”
Luke: “Vader. Is the dark side stronger?”
“No…no…no. Quicker, easier, more seductive.”
Luke: “But how am I to know the good side from the bad?”
Yoda: “You will know. When you are calm, at peace. Passive. A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.”

Indian Larry

May I introduce  a man of quality – bike builder, stuntman, and an innovator in the world of custom motorcycles, ‘Indian Larry’ Desmedt.

When he was a teenager when he bought his first motorbike, a 1939 Harley Knucklehead, for $200. He took it apart and spent the next nine months learning how to put it back together again. He later moved to California and apprenticed under hot rod builder Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, later launching his own Brooklyn-based Gasoline Alley motorcycle workshop in 1991.

Indian Larry is credited with re-popularizing the stripped down, tall handlebar, foot clutched, jockey shifted, no front brake or fender, small gas tank, open piped, kickstart only, stock rake choppers that prevailed in the 60s, before long front ends became popular.  He was old school.

~~~
Indian Larry is a life path 1.  Ones are the intial creative force, the fresh, new and innovative – raw, and powerful.
Larry is mega- Taurus with Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus – which is sitting right on top of Moon-, all in the house of slow and steady work and progress.  When Larry was younger he was convicted of bank robbery, drug addicted, and he changed his life around by conceptualizing and building old school choppers.
Venus rules not only art, but money as well.  Venus rules Taurus, in addition to Libra.  His Moon (feelings) is plunked right on top of Venus in Taurus Sun (ego, creative spirit) right there with it.   Now see the Neptune (spirituality, suffering)  in Libra (balance) in quincunx to Moon and Venus?  A quincunx indicates a change in attitude & altitude.  Larry gave up the self-destructive hedonism for a creative high.  That tattoo on his neck reads “In God We Trust – Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord – No Fear.”   The middle two lines were in reverse so that he could read them when looking in a mirror.
Saturn is trine Sun, Mars North Node of Destiny and sextile Uranus.  He channelled his rebellious streak (Uranus) into revolutionary builds (Mars, Saturn).
Mars (welding, the hammer, raw power) is conjunct North Node of Destiny in Aries, the sign it rules.  Mars is also a 1.  Headlong raw power conjunct North Node.
Sun, Venus, Mars all in square to Jupiter in the sign of innovation, Aquarius.
Those are spirit, art, and power planets in creative tension with the greater benefic, the planet of faith and expansive, exploratory ideas- Jupiter.
Obviously riding the open road on a custom built chopper of his design gave him a natural high.
Sun, Moon, Venus all in square to Pluto in Leo.  Creativity supercharged and by following his inspiration, he changed his life, and the lives of many others for the better.
Indian Larry was kind, generous, and a friend to many- we remember you well.
Peace out~>
