This Uranian bird totem is right on time.  Oddly enough I don’t see them often, and usually at dawn or less frequently dusk – in broad daylight is rare. 
There ya go, Sun opposite Uranus square Pluto at work in the bird kingdom.

Heron balances emotions (water), thoughts (air) and the practical (earth) through quiet vigilance, making it a sign of jack-of-all-trades work.  This solitary bird wades deep into the subconscious world, peering with keen insight into the emotional well of souls, unlocking the doors of perception, following its own inner guidance. 

It only joins others during migration or breeding season, otherwise, it is solitary. Patience and knowing when to strike are hallmarks of heron medicine, as is an independent spirit that insists on taking charge, exploring new territory.  Heron balances on one leg (often while sleeping), signaling a need for standing up for oneself while also counterbalancing the weight of the other.

Bennu, meaning to shine, to rise, was the sacred bird of Heliopolis, the soul of Ra, the quintessence of rebirth.  Greeks renamed the Bennu, calling it the phoenix (Pluto). The planet Venus was called the Morning star of the ship of the Bennu-Asar.

I was cutting this roasted red bell for making Enchanted Forest ZA.
Look what it has inside !

Earth and her critters are endlessly fascinating.  I’ve been working, watching my new kitties get the hang of the place and each other.

Mercury into Scorp at Casa Luna means small animals (Virgo/Merc rule) get a new life, new turf to research… and ultimately, healing via total transformation.

New pattern recogs are off the charts.
Versatility is key – one viewpoint ends, another begins.

Early Sept brought Virgo organization, health snap rousing me from sickness prior to family visit, earthquakes in mental sectors (Uranus on Saturn ruler 3; Virgo stellium transits + Ura square Plut mambo) work sectors (2nd job that is).

I lost a feline friend.
Uranus squares Pluto; Pluto rules death, Uranus adoption.

So this despondent, lonely, multi-Virgo went to the animal shelter with Gemini Moon (Mercury rules both Virgo & Gemini & pets) transiting her 6th house of Virgo.

Yes, I know astrofiends, I had it coming.

Relaxing music had me in tears as I am swooning over two shy sweet long-haired beauties that had grown up together (sweetheart male oddly named Lynnie, family thing, soz), and were purring like engines, but reining Mr. Handsome at Casa Luna is the Bud Supreme, I had to pass.

So anyway, Gemini can mean double trouble…aka: pay the fee for one and a donor will pay the other.

Other Side

My lovely gift this solar return . . ? .  .. spirit comms via my Mother and Sister.  
I will explain.  
My phone is faulty, won’t ring for incoming calls, so my Mom and I play phone tag.
She picked up her phone thinking the new voicemail was from me only to find it was notifying her of a voicemail from my (late) Dad from several years ago.  My Sis chimed in, “He must’ve wanted us to tell you Happy Birthday.”
Very cool, and sweet.

This kind of stuff is normal for me (Sun/Uranus/Pluto + packed 8th), but I must admit, it has increased in frequency (Uranus) with the Uranus Pluto square.  

Pluto stations deliver POWER to the areas of taxes, joint money, sex, death and rebirth as well as opening the door to the mysterious realms of the afterlife.

Years ago, when my family was scattering my Mega (3rd house stellium) Aquarian brothers ashes in the river near his happy hunting grounds, everyone heard his ‘head’s up’ whistle from the woods on the other side of the river.  No one was visible over there. Murmurs of “Did you hear that ?” were passing between all of us standing on the opposite shore.

This was before I knew astrology and could read his chart full of personal planets in Aqua opposing Pluto in 9 (long-distance comms from after death; also posthumous fame.)

Think astrology doesn’t work…?  
The natal goes on even after death, transits still trigger it via others still living.
Amazing…yeah ?
I just looked.  My brother would be having a Saturn return (exact) in exact square to his natal Moon in Aquarius, with transit Venus applying square to natal Aqua Venus by one degree.
Our primary conjunction revolves around his Pluto and my Venus/Jupiter in Leo.
So I write of him and his death and life afterwards here.

My Dad, his Uranus is conjunct my natal Toro Moon.  Transit Toro Moon just popped over that conjunction this weekend as both my Mom and Sister (moon, women) delivered an angelic message (Uranus).  Transit Uranus was conjunct both of our Aries Saturns (Father), transit Venus (daughter) was conjunct his natal NNode (future) and Moon (women) in Pluto-ruled Scorpio.

Pluto is death, rebirth, afterlife, phoenixing and the mysterious.

Sun (spirit, creativity, awareness) is square (an obstacle of creative tension) Pluto now.

Pluto will then begin to close the square to Uranus Rx in Aries – becoming exact at 9 26′ degrees on November 1st.  
This square is followed by a New Moon Solar Eclipse at 11 degrees Scorpio on the 3rd of November (more on that later).

Pluto stations are weird, wild & wooly – energies are shifting, finding their groove.

Energies shift while Pluto is square Moon/Uranus in Aries; also square Mercury in Libra.
Think twice, speak once – because Mercury is also square Jupiter in Cancer.
Feelings will be strong, power will be shifting and obstacles will need to be overcome.

Thinking and speaking about feelings, with family and friends with fairness and patience is key.
Eye on actions/speech that enhances balanced outcomes – be creative, fun and full of heart.  Aries Moon/Uranus trine Leo Mars – fire signs inspire !  
Work this. Game ON ! 

Avoid power-trippy fit-throwers ::: they are not facing themselves, instead are blaming others.
Cultivate and channel your inner strength and zen poise.  All you have learned during this Pluto retrograde cycle is coming forward to bear new growth outwardly.  Deep psyche insights fill our mojo bags, we see our course and are ready to dive in and work it !
