Strings are wound pretty tight out there, yeah..?
 I am getting that from my circle, and I am feeling it myself.  Where I am (central US) the heat is rising along with the humidity as the astro square of Uranus and Pluto grows tighter.  Cranky and bitchy is a common commodity these days.
Patience is a little harder to come by, exquisite and golden.

Keep this in mind: as the date grows nearer to exact, the aspect is stronger.
June 23 – Uranus square Pluto exact 10:19pm, CST, USA.

So in the interest of keeping the astro distilled to the finest essence …
let’s acknowledge what we can  do to relieve the pressure.  I have got a simple solution, free ( we love free, yes ? ) and easy, can be done anywhere.

Here it is : breathe.

That’s it.
I told you it was simple.

Think of it this way – and Gemini house loves to think – and will from every angle.
Gem house is soon to be packed – as I write this Moon is at 29 degrees Toro nearly into Gemini to join Jupiter, Venus Rx, and Sun.

Sun, Venus and Jupiter are the benefics, the fortunate planets.
They are ALL in Gemini.
Gemini rules the lungs.  and the nervous system :: our key to chill is breathing.

They (Moon, Jup, Ven) however; are in square to Neptune Rx and Chiron Rx in the healing sign of Pisces. (Sun trines Nept and Chiron.)  Squares are an obstacle, needs to be solved – we yearn to know how to heal the macro and micro.

Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, it is divine love for all life big and small.
It is where the macro and micro meet as ONE.

Breathing slowly and deeply brings a sense of peace, relaxation and focus.  note: Jupiter in Gemini scatters, lacks focus – diaphragmatic breathing will help !  Deep breathing stimulates the lymph system, it helps relieve hypertension and migraines. As oxygen goes into our blood stream, our cells excrete toxins, deep breathing helps our lymphatic system expel these toxins.

I would be lying if I painted over the recent aspects with sunshine and rainbows.  Growth is upon all of us – Uranus and Pluto are nearing exact square and we are all feeling it.  If you have them prominent in your natal, you get a one way ticket to mainline metamorph  that area of your chart.  I have personally checked out of GMA the last few days – wasn’t planning on it, either.  Just realized I can’t give what I don’t have.

I once read a great piece by a well – respected astrologer who was speaking of the tough nuts that ‘survived the tumultuous late sixties’… I immediately thought, yes – the late sixties were intense – you were just passing through …I was born with that aspect.  (Please, I mean no disrespect for those that slogged through horrific wars and civil unrest.)  I am a late sixties Virgo with Sun conjunct Uranus (9) Pluto (8th).

Simplified: Capricorn is ancient and slow as molasses :::  Aries is the impulsive pioneer.
Simplified: Pluto is inner willpower and metamorphosis ::: Uranus is eccentric anarchy.

Old cuss Capricorn is getting tasered.  Stagnant, stalled, structural organizations are in for a MAJOR overhaul.  Squares are intense friction – it is uncomfortable and we are on it like hair on ape actively chipping at the problem, scratching at the itch.

I have been asked to describe how I experience Sun conjunct Uranus Pluto in Virgo 9, so here goes…  Sun is spirit, ego, shining illumination.  My Sun is in the natural Sagittarius house, so that (and other aspects) give me a rich Sag vibe.  Expansive visionary philosophies, love of learning, travel, other cultures, teaching and exploring are all Sag traits.  Sun rules my 8th, the natural house of Scorpio, and Pluto is in the 8th – which it rules.  So basically my Sun is getting major transformation 24/7 – it often falls kerplunk into the deep, dark, dank Scorpio well and can’t get free.  I suffer greatly in 8th house matters. (benefics square Neptune in Scorp) My light goes out.

I have contemplated and researched past lives, the death of this life, I have more than once considered taking my life, I have been so sick I thought I was dying, I have up and left my former life, and despite all this turmoil – I am unable to completely lose hope because the benefics Venus, Jupiter and Fortuna are all conjunct in my 8th.  Good thing, or I would have checked out long ago.

Add Uranus and it equals ego hits, one right after another, my whole life.  It means add the prefix ‘self’ to everything 9th house; hugely independent in thought and philosophy, powerful drive to see and communicate the big picture.  Sun conjunct Uranus is a fixed masculine aspect, it delivers strong willpower, intuition and individualistic freedom -loving radical behavior. I can be a buttery sweetheart (Ven/Jup), turn on a dime, detach and walk off.  Quit habits cold turkey.  I love holograms, lenticular images, 3D and all sorts of eyecandy.  Don’t lie to me, I am an intuitive expert in body language.

Uranus is magnetic, so I attract ego-maniac, power – tripping oddballs, and Plutonic lesson – bringers with regularity. I tend to be impulsive, (Mars quintiles Uranus adds to this) and I elicit the ginormous game change not only my life, but also the lives of those I care about.  I don’t set out to do this, it just happens naturally.

Loner.  I cut to the chase, I am intense, curious and love research.  I tend to intimidate people, I delve deep into mysterious fringe subjects (love Ripley’s Believe It or Not, UFO’s, occult, magnetics, energies and science for starters), and I have a knack of being in the right place at the right time.  I seek to understand everything – I am often heard saying ‘I’ll believe it when I see it.’ (Neptune most highly aspected, Sagittarius 12)

I am progressive, creatively innovative and I obsessively study a subject until I know I have reached saturation, then I drop it, move on to obsessively learn something else.  Uranus quintile Mars in the 12th house sign (Sagittarius), in addition to Mars trine  Saturn means I have weird experiences with long-distances and time.  Uranus delivers all of these things in a flash – I am left broadsided, gobsmacked and reeling.  I feel weird energies, hear the earth humming and I am sometimes clairaudient.  Pendulum dowsing is a snap.  I see both sides, attract as often as I repel, and I have for years, had an inexplicable fear of dying by electrocution.

Tardis Tarot

Reading Theresa Reed’s recent post kickstarted me into doing this reading. She did a reading for herself asking : ‘what advice will I need and appreciate in the future ?’.

Some of you regulars may already know: I see and often experience time as fluid, meaning the past/future/past occur simultaneously.  It’s a bit complex to be sure, but strangely enough, it also makes perfect sense, it feels right – time is woven, it warps and wefts – similar to prismatic colors of changing light, a bit of tweaking can change the time vibrations.  …far out huh..?  chew on it awhile while I tell you about the reading..

Hephaestus, God of Blacksmiths : violscraper

A client I just finished a reading for is, as she put it, ‘knee-deep’ into studying astrology now…I loOove it…saw it coming  when I read for her.
Strong Uranus placements – Uranus rules astrology and curiosity.

These energies (Uranus and Pluto) are in square (obstacle, internal work, forced change) now with Pluto in Capricorn moving retrograde at 9 ’30 degrees; Uranus in Aries at 6 ’21 moving direct, the first exact square hit will be on June 24th.

You are feeling it in your chart…in your life.

Pluto also squares Aries, the competitive self, instincts, early childhood – the I Want It NOW house !   The RAM is dragging Capricorn into the future and the RAM doesn’t look back.

You may be wondering why I put Hephaestus, God of Blacksmiths (asteroid 2212) at the top of the page, yet I haven’t mentioned him yet.  This is the cool weird thing about astrology folks…the planets really do give all the info you need, but the asteroids flesh out the bones…love that !

Hephaestus is the god of blacksmithing ~ the volcanic fires of the forge.

He was born lame and crippled into Olympus, rejected and cast out by his mother Hera. Rescued by sea nymphs, he grew to be a cunning craftsman.  Despite his ejection from Mount Olympus, Hephaestus crafted many objects for the gods such as thunderbolts for Zeus, arrows for Apollo and a shield for Athena.  He was the only Olympian said to have returned to Olympus after being exiled.

The asteroid Hephaestus will signal forgiveness, craft, cunning and skill in your natal chart.  It is the place where you blaze a trail and rise to create your destiny – despite rejection – despite emotional and physical difficulties.

It is where your life is forged, hammered and remade.

Look to what it aspects and see what the forge holds for you…
Conjunctions are power operating together, trines easy energy flow, squares inner battles, and oppositions indicate compromise with another.

These are forged objects from my home.  An old friend made them…the keychain I have carried since the day it was given to me.  Pluto, forging, craft and forgiveness are all major in my life – Pluto aspects both luminaries, Neptune most highly aspected.

Imagine my surprise when I saw my natal Hephaestus is not only quintile Venus, but it lives at 16 degrees Gemini, the exact degree of the upcoming Occultation of Venus.

When Moon enters Mercury ruled Virgo, Mars Rx (in the sign of service) is holding the door open.   Sensitivities get a zippy influx of passion, but are in compromise with higher ideals and someone else’s vision.  You may feel excluded, or misunderstood.   Compromise and balance (Venus) is not jiving with what you feel you need.

Tons of fire in the sky wanting to get going ~>
Sun, Moon, Uranus, North Node of Destiny.
(Mercury Retrogrades into Pisces tomorrow)

Saturn Rx is in Air working out the balance.
Pluto, Venus, Jupiter and Mars Rx are in Earth getting the work done.
Neptune, Chiron (and soon Mercury Rx) are in Water going deep, feelers out.

Our spirit, security, what we ‘call home’, what frees us is where the action is.
The directions we are taking and the solutions we are making -or breaking- revolve around Sun, Moon, Uranus and Pluto moving closer to square.

Actions we take regarding these matters are in creative opposition to the status quo of Capricorn Earth and Pluto in residence.  Pluto is struggling to unhitch the wagon, free the limitations of your Capricorn house and let your wild horses run free.

Aries is in my 3rd, communication, teaching, writing – North Node is just over the 4th house finish line, so I am doing this work in order to pay for and keep my house.

Capricorn is in my first and my outlook, my vibe, what I AM doing is definitely undergoing major shifts and metamorphosis.  I am working with Pluto as best I can, fighting against the change is harder than accepting and just going with it.
(Spoken like a girl with biggie Neptune, yes ? –  it’s true – I go with the flow when I can, and I choose my battles ! )
