blind spot

Popped cork.  Pitchfork.  Tuning fork.  Mystical torque.

Lucky Lucky Late Leos get another baptism in the waters of Neptune.
Via Opposition. Other.
Venus smoosh Saturn is trine Neptune.  Sun conjunct Mercury opposite Uranus and it looks like I am gonna pop the cork on Neptune, fuq yeah.
Moon opposite Jupiter and the time is ripe, it surfaces.

First things first.  I have natal Neptune in Scorp on the 11th – that means you, You and YOU see me suffer and squirm under the microscope.  That Neptune is squaring my Heart in Leo on the 8th – specifically, Venus conjunct Jupiter.  Both of which are presently in a stranglehold with Neptune again.
I’m gonna tell you straight up, it’s a bitch. *

~~~~~~~~~~
Scorpios DO the penetrating, they hate being exposed  to the crowd, their weaknesses on public display in broad daylight, no less.  Neptuning fork turned onto itself in Leo is heartless, cruel and selfish – The Will bent and twisted to wield power over others.  It is the absolute refusal  to give up the shiny object, come death and  re-birth, the shiny ‘mine’ will still be clutched tightly  in the talons.
It is self-delusion, self-deception, and escapism to the microscopic Scorpionic degree of depths that only the soul knows.  The belief that going dark cave deep in a haze of addiction will keep the secret sorrows hidden from others is truly an unconscious desperation that they will be hidden from the self.  Over-sensitivity to the environs due to an overactive Neptune in Scorpio can lead to irrational fear of others, self-induced seclusion and a flat-out refusal to face life.
A Scorped up Neptuned Leo WILL obsess over the soulless meatsack staring back from the mirror.  It will poke, provoke and power the ugly thing with unswerving penetrating attention, willing it to rise for yet another death.  It is a power struggle to the death – internal vs. external – the need to transform fighting the need to fixate.  It is the deeply ingrained fixed habits of many lifetimes – the WILL carved so deeply it turns on itself to find the source of the offense and root it out.
Strangled Leo is Plutonic sexual desire metamorphosed and warped, a lack of willpower and reckless gambling of the heart and soul of self and others.  It is vain pride, mining for energy from others, taking – always taking without giving.  It is intolerance of others who do not share the same beliefs, the instinctive Scorpionic need to control – twisted to manipulate the other, a vampirism of the unconscious self and others in the collective.
~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution ?
Quit being a puss.  Suck it up, sweetheart – quit giving yourself a free pass out of anything difficult.  Be honest with yourself and others.  Use your WILL POWER for healthy thoughts and deeds.  Channel the inner energy to EVOLVE instead of control and manipulate.  Say kind things to yourself in the quiet moments.  Go through EVERY letter in the alphabet and choose a groovy word starting with that letter to describe yourself.  Now do it AGAIN and AGAIN choosing a different word each time.  Open your heart, fear keeps the friends out too.  Speak your kind thoughts aloud.   Train your attention – feed the things that make you feel good about yourself.
Be mindful of your thoughts.  Focus on the positive.
I love you and I have excellent taste.
  You dig ?
Now quit fucking around and use your talents wisely – you are brilliant – shine.
plotting Pluto
Hello folks,
Lessons learned, Pluto-style are up to bat in today’s card reading.
You choose the meanings for each card as they relate to your personal Plutonic experience.
All intentions of this spread to bring the most benevolent insightful outcome for all…
Pluto direct                         Pluto retrograde                          Pluto direct
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pluto goes direct on 09.16.2011 in Capricorn at 4 degrees.
Check out which house Capricorn falls into in your chart for where your life will begin moving forward after the internal engines of transformation erupt forth new life.
(Retrograde is forcing inner metamorphosis, direct brings lessons from the depths to the surface)

This day is the vibration of 2.
Two = splitting the zygote, receptivity, union, sensitivity, duality, diplomacy and balance.

Fun times on the 16th as Venus opposes Uranus while Mars squares the Moon / Jupiter conjunction.
Luckily, Neptune is on the bench and a Grand Earth trine keeps things steady as she goes, Capt’n.

Here’s the card that gets to the bottom of things (underside of deck):

Blue Mooneptune

“I was determined to carve out a music of my own.  I didn’t want to copy anybody.”

~May I introduce the ‘Father of Bluegrass’,  Mr. Bill Monroe.

Changing the face of American music forever, Bill Monroe founded the Monroe Brothers, later the Bluegrass Boys; culling the best pickers around to play in his band – including Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and much later, Peter Rowan.

For five decades they created the ‘high lonesome’ sound.

I was very pleased to see his chart-> it’s another astrological slam-dunk, folks !

Virgo Bill Monroe is a life path 7.

Sevens are mystics, intellectuals- they are the builders of bridges between worlds.

Obviously a grand earth trine (ease of energies) anchored by rebel Uranus in hard-working Capricorn.  You don’t get to be the best without a LOT of practice and perseverance in your craft.

Neptune (rules string instruments) at the apex of the kite, exalted in Cancer.

A kite formation indicates strong energies passing with ease along the trine, and more difficult energies in the opposition.

Uranus in Bill’s case is the inventive quality of his music expressed through the opposition with musical Neptune.  Powerful Mars in the dexterous sign of Gemini in square (inner conflict) to Virgo stellium, which includes Sun (Ego, spirit, creativity), Mercury (communication) and Venus (art, music) indicates Bill’s exacting work- Virgos are precise; seeking perfection.

He was also very demanding of those he played with.

Moon (feelings) conjunct Saturn (work, concentration) in methodical Taurus (ruled by Venus, his art) meant his music was his life, plain and simple.

Moon, exalted in Taurus, rules the throat.
Hello High Lonesome !

Uranus (rules vision) opposite Neptune (rules suffering as well as transcendence) indicates his life-long vision problems.

Saturn (time, building, father) conjunct Moon (public) shows the legacy of bluegrass music Bill has created, as well as the moniker, ‘Father of Bluegrass.’

“You know, I never wrote a tune in my life. All that music’s in the air around you all the time. I was just the first one to reach up and pull it out.” – Bill Monroe

Saturn Sleeps

Was it the Neptune incense that brought the dreams…?  Perhaps…or maybe was it the eclipses and endings they bring that are circling me like vultures ?  Three hours of sleep, waking three times and three times falling back asleep to the same nightmare.  Such is growth…tilling the same ground another year for a different harvest.  (Threes are Mercurial, exploratory, growing. )

Neptune (rules dreams, hiding) is my most highly aspected planet and has all my difficulties growing through it, including some lovely fixed squares to the secretive 8th.  Toss in a 29 degree Sun (endings- each house has 30 degrees) conjunct Uranus (astrology), Pluto (struggle) ; all three in opposition to Chiron (the healer) in Pisces -and you have an astrologer reluctant to reveal anything personal, regardless of the fact it would be the most helpful in lighting the spiritual path for others.  Hang tight…I’m workin’ on it…follow the breadcrumbs into the labyrinth.

While reading “Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art of Remembering Everything” by Joshua Foer, I read something that reminded me of fixed squares.  It is mentioned that “memories are nomadic until revisited and reinforced thereby making them impervious to erasure. It’s thought that sleep plays a critical role in this process of consolidating our memories and drawing meaning out of them.  Rats that have spent an hour running around a track apparently run through the same track in their sleep, and exhibit the same patterns of neural firings with their eyes closed as when they were learning the mazes in the first place.  It has been suggested that the reason our own dreams so often feel like a surreal recombination of elements plucked from real-life is that they are just the by-product of experiences slowly hardening into long-term memories.”

Fixed squares in a chart are the maps leading to the deeply ingrained patterns made over many lifetimes; places where self-will is strong.  (Fixed signs are: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.)  Fixed squares indicate a need to bend the will; give as well as take; a need to find balance between the two.
Look in the chart for help from any trines, sextiles or otherwise easier aspects for a more favorable expression of the squared planet.   (In my case, Neptune sextiles my stellium and Mercury sextiles my 8th.  So I’m usually happy to talk about spirituality, metaphysics, music and art)  In the case of a chart without sextiles, trines or easier aspects to the squared planets – concentrate on vibrating to the highest most positive expression of the planets involved.
For example; Saturn can be restrictive and pessimistic or concentrating and disciplined, and Venus can be vain or loving.
Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.  ~Maori Proverb

Call of Spirit

This week I grabbed the memoir of Ashley Judd from the library shelf, “All That Is Bitter & Sweet”.  Only having read as far as the forward and prologue, I knew I had to look up her natal chart.  Her compassion for others and her desire to end suffering washing over me with every word I read.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is an excerpt from the prologue: [She writes of a Forcibly Displaced Persons Camp in the Democratic Republic of the Congo September, 2010.]  “Once again, I am staggered and humbled by the human capacity for suffering, resilience, and compassion that I experience in this hellhole, and all the other hellholes I have visited in the past seven years.  I thank Muntuzu Angel for our time together.  She whispers, while I am still holding her child, that I am a woman just like her, that I am no different.  We both cry, something transcendent passing between us.  I tell her that I will never forget her, and I will tell her story.”  Population Services International: http://www.psi.org/
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok girl, wow ! ~Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, North Node and Chiron all in Aries !
She’s a bit of a little firecracker, no wonder she was a cheerleader for the Wildcats, still shows up for games and sits with the students- lotsa school spirit & pride !  What I really love to see is her obvious thirst for knowledge with her Sun (spirit), Mercury (mind), and Mars (action), in the 9th of higher learning.  Sun, Mercury and Saturn are all trine Jupiter (expansion) from Leo (ruler of the heart) to the 9th of university studies (‘Leo’ school ‘pride’).  Venus (love) is conjunct Saturn (concentration) in the 8th house of transformation via deep research.
So there is an obvious love of study and expanding the horizons as well as travel (9th is the natural house of Sagittarius-loves new frontiers).
What gives her soul (Moon) happiness is not the Hollyweird ego (square Sun) but instead, helping others (Aquarius is the humanitarian; Moon the public).  Ashley has Aquarius Moon trine Uranus (reformers) and Pluto (universal welfare) in the sign of Virgo (those who serve others) in the 2nd house of self-worth.  These reformers (Uranus and Pluto) are also trine Mars (where she places her energy) at the midheaven which is her peak of achievements.  With Chiron in the 8th house, she heals her personal wound by bringing help to the unseen victims of abuse worldwide.  The need to mother the world is also seen by Cancer on the 11th house of social consciousness.
Ashley is a life path 11, a master number indicating a person who is dedicated to a life of service to others, which is also seen by her most aspected planets, Jupiter (generosity) and Neptune (healing, compassion).

The fulcrum

There is in each of us an ancient force that takes and an ancient force that gives. A man finds little difficulty facing that place within himself where the taking force dwells, but it’s almost impossible for him to see into the giving force without changing into something other than man. For a woman, the situation is reversed … The greatest peril to the Giver is the force that takes. The greatest peril to the Taker is the force that gives. It’s as easy to be overwhelmed by giving as by taking … I’m at the fulcrum … I cannot give without taking and I cannot take without giving…

Great line spoken by Paul Atreides, the Kwisatz Haderach from my favorite novel, Dune.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight Saturn is my fulcrum….and so is Neptune.
I am a Capricorn rising.  My chart ruler, Saturn rules my first house (where Mars is natural ruler).   Saturn is placed in Aries (which Mars rules) and is trine Mars in my 11th (natural house of Aquarius) and on the cusp of my 12th house sign, Sagittarius.
Neptune is also very strong in my chart, as are Uranus and Pluto.
I love science-fiction (Uranus rules science; Neptune, fiction) and anything dealing with time travel (Saturn rules time).
My Mars has excellent archer aim and tonight I was using it for long-distance healing.
Healers are ruled by Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, Virgos and the sixth house.
Tonight, I have my magnetite close and know the moon is growing very close to full, so a good time to put forth strong healing intentions.
Blessed be to all my lovely readers~
Voodoo Woman
Susan Tedeschi has loved music from a very young age. She joined a band at 13, wrote her first song at 14, sang gospel choir, and later graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in jazz and rock.   According to her Lillith Fair bio: she found little inspiration in the church choir, and so attended predominantly African-American Baptist churches, feeling the music was “less repressed and more like a celebration of God.”
She is an outstanding vocalist and guitarist; nominated for several Grammys, and is the winner of numerous W.C. Handy Blues Awards.
Susan is an 11 life path- 11 is a master number for those who lead lives of inspiring others and service to the greater good of humanity.
Wowsers.  Look at that 8th house.  Susan is a Pisces rising with a chart ruler of Neptune (rules string instruments) packed into a powerful Scorpio stellium.  Ummm, dirty blues, yeah !
Sun is sandwiched between the two benefics Venus and Jupiter; an indication of a loving, generous spirit.  Mercury and Neptune conjunct give her a penetrating musical presence; guitar and voice.
Deep feeling Moon conjunct Chiron in trine to the stellium, emotional healing through the power of music.  I am inclined to think that North Node (purpose in life) at 29 degrees between Aquarius (electricity) and Pisces (Neptune rules) means ‘electric guitar’.
Judging by her powerful 7th house (relationships, including marriage) her husband, Derek Trucks has obviously had a huge impact (Mars, energy, desires/ Uranus, innovation, telepathy) on her artistically (Venus or art -rules Libra).  They speak the same musical language and find transcendence through intuitive musical expression.
