An Eclipse prayer, a Neptune direct & going home prayer ~
guitars, mystics, prophets, spiritual healing and the cosmos…
Neptune is illusion, fog and dreams, the ocean ~ fluctuation on a grand scale.
She has been getting zapped in a fixed electrical sign since August 24th, 1998.
Neptune will, at long last, enter Pisces, the sign she rules, on February 3, 2012.
blessed be om mani padme hum

South Node indicates the past life, or the road previously travelled.
It is called Ketu- the dragon’s tail- and is likened to a valley.
North Node is the trail we are currently blazing in this life.
It is called Rahu- the dragon’s head- and is likened to a peak.
North Node at the time of last nights eclipse was in the 4th house indicating Karmic Balancing.
North Node placed in the 4th house means the energy is used to do whatever is needed and ordered by the other trinity of nodal point groups. The 4th, 8th, and 12th houses are the Trinity of Psychicism.

It turns out transiting Mars in my 9th of higher learning square my natal Sagittarius Mars in 12 has me going at mystical and metaphysical study like a junkyard dog at a porterhouse steak.
Mercury is going retrograde just before the eclipse and I always find it helpful to flesh out the planetary bodies scientifically as well as turning my inner eye upon them.
Mercury has a rep for being neutral, dualistic, adaptable, dextrous, articulate, alert and brilliant. It is neutral, reflective and associated with the throat chakra / communication. Mercury expresses polarities, and does so scientifically as well.
One side is extremely hot at 430 degrees celsius, the other is very cold at -180 degrees celsius. Mercury circles the sun in 88 Earth days, yet only rotates on its axis 3 times for every two trips around the Sun. Mercury also has a global internal dipolar magnetic field which means it has both a north and a south pole.
In the natal, the closest aspect to Mercury is the way Mercury will find its expression. For instance, my Mercury is at MC in Libra, and sextile Venus conjunct Jupiter in the 8th of Leo. I am usually talking about art, music, or metaphysics. Look to your Mercury to see how you express yourself.
Then watch this short, but very cool vid of an annular eclipse, and the moon’s shadow as it crosses the Earth.
antumbra – The antumbra is that part of the Moon’s shadow that extends beyond the umbra. It is similar to the penumbra in that the Sun is only partially blocked by the Moon. From within the antumbra, the Sun appears larger than the Moon which is seen in complete silhouette. An annular eclipse is seen when an observer passes through the antumbra.
penumbra – The penumbra is the weak or pale part of the Moon’s shadow. From within the penumbra, the Sun is only partially blocked by the Moon as in the case of a partial eclipse. This contrasts with the umbra, where the Sun is completely blocked resulting in a total eclipse.

umbra – The umbra is the darkest part of the Moon’s shadow. From within the umbra, the Sun is completely blocked by the Moon as in the case of a total eclipse. This contrasts with the penumbra, where the Sun is only partially blocked resulting in a partial eclipse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My Mercury lives at Midheaven & Mercury rules maps ! So, I’m tossing this last one in for a great visual of the luminaries and the difference between a lunar and solar eclipse.
