Chinese New Year of the Wood Horse

Ancient astrologers chose Horse to represent Great Yang (Sun) due to the both the outgoing energy of men as well as outside pursuits that proliferate when the season for fun and frolic is warmest. Horse month is midsummer and holds the longest day of the year; Horse hours are midday, when the sun has reached its zenith. 

Horse years are years of high energy levels, being decisive, more daring, adventurous and confident.  Thinking and communications are geared towards the future, goals on the horizon, moving and working to see those goals come to fruition.  

Horse years are herd-like: social and high-spirited, working as a team is favored.  Senses will be sharp, cerebral discussions, mental challenges arouse curiosity, fascinate.  Forthright speaking will be abundant, use caution – think twice, speak once.  Caution with finances and temper should also be cultivated.  Athleticism is favored in horse years, as is public speaking.

Fortune FillyWood Horse years are filled with quick expansive growth (east, spring), kindness and generosity and simple pleasures.  Creativity is favored, as is work diligence – especially networking – wood horses like to keep busy.  Organizing comes naturally, action plans and partnerships are well-thought out, solid.

Lovely illustration, yes ?  Castles and antlers from the brainpan. 
Obv, my Saturn in Aries loves it for the bones & stones quality, my Sag Mars by the backdoor loves the dreamstates. It is also a nod to the slow death of big corp culture.

Cardinal square days of late are filled with tension between self and others, home and business – and the whole shebang is causing internal tensions around the wheel.

Saturn is holding down the fort of opportunities via work.  Work on your self, your business, your relationships, your headspace.

I am familiar with this grand cross energy, my former husband and I had this in our composite – though ours was mutable and offset by a harmonious mystic rectangle.
Reading the grand cross is an aspect of great strength if the energy is used correctly was a case of hindsight being 20/20 in our case – but it is true. 

Diving into the moshpit and flying our best interpretive dance moves is pretty much all there is to do at this point if we want to move & groove it on UP. 
Uranus in Aries is weighing in very heavily for Let Your Freak Flag Fly while *4 personal planets are powered up for regeneration via lots and Lots and LOTS of WORK..

Jupiter Rx opposing Cap central from Cancer – timely to mention that projection is highly possible when supercranky (eg. Moon energies under duress) and feeling opposed by another. Capricorn nose to the grindstone, minding our own business works a charm ! 

The Uranian boho influence increases when Moon moves into Aquarius Thursday and moves to sextile Uranus and trine Mars – emotional comms may take an odd inventive turn.  Greased lightning !   Just sayin’.

One last thing, the twitter marketing sales pitch dangled in front of comedian Patton Oswalt prior to new moon ?

Soulcards 2, Tarot of the Origins

Quickie read, intent: New Moon Prep for all.

First card you interpret, though I will pitch in that New Moons are always conjunct Sun.
Introverted, passive, reactive yin Moon meets expressive, outgoing yang Sun; traditionally seen as feminine and masculine, respectively.

Second card is Sacrifice.  A rite of passage which frees spirit from the material prison of the body in order to attain divine insight – a vision quest.

The sacrifice card made me think of the Lakota Sun Dance (traditionally held in the summer on a full moon).  It is a rite symbolizing life and rebirth (Pluto, New Moon is conjunct) held around the sacred cottonwood tree (found inside the cross-section is a perfect five pointed star which represents the Great Spirit).   The (skin) piercing that takes place is the most sacred part of the sundance ceremony. It represents individual sacrifice for the good of the tribe, honoring Mother Earth and women who give life through childbirth.  source

Earlier this morning a 3 card draw of my own so perfectly spoke to my need for an abundance of angles rather than a cacophony of curves.

I love the intensity of learning inherent to the motions of the wheels of life. 
A plethora of planets placed in Capricorn for New Moon – all dipped in Saturnian flavor.

Saturn is time, ambitious climbing, bonds and structure – a plethora of new bursts forth from thought seed beginnings – in reference to spirit, feelings, thinking, communicating : metamorphosis of and rebirth of same.
