I have been studying  platonic solids and sacred geometry.  Fascinating really – the building blocks of the universe.

The tetrahedron, cube, and octahedron all occur naturally in crystal structures.

The human body is made of crystal structures – liquid crystal structures.

Liquid crystals are a state of matter between that of a conventional liquid and that of a solid crystal.

Think of the solids as crystallized musical vibrations, or spirit seen in matter.  As frequencies change, movement will always occur along spiral pathways, or “phi” ratio.

Notes in the scale of western music are based on natural harmonics that are created by ratios of frequencies.  Ratios found in the first seven numbers of the Fibonacci series ( 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 ) are related to key frequencies of musical notes. (source)

What we vibrate naturally spirals outward, causing others to resonate likewise.

All all our bodily systems react to sound vibration, as do our spiritual, mental, and emotional states.  These solids can visually bring our vibrations into harmony with the rhythms of nature. They can help us understand frequencies and learn how to reorganize our own thought patterns – raise our frequency with the help of sound and the symmetry and balance of sacred geometry.

Translating cosmic nebuli

I am dissolving into the Neptune retrograde, I can feel it.  Staycation has only heightened my need to hermit.  It is not only the Neptunian fog of my most highly aspected planet rolling in, but also everything else at high noon (with the exception of Sun – doesn’t retrograde) in my natal chart is retrograde. 

I am spending time squirreled away in my home pocket studying.  My collection of papers, pamphlets, guides and information are finding homes.  I am gearing up for many long hauls through the late nights of work into my future – laying tracks over the mountain, if you will.  Earth signs more than any other like to be prepared…practice, practical, perfection.

Are you working the Neptune Rx trine Saturn ?  I called Neptune trine Saturn the manifestation aspect and it is true.  The inspirational spirit of Neptunian creations are more easily made manifest into physical form on the material plane.  The cosmic nebuli more freely funnels and flows into earthbound translations.

Creative juices are flowing for those with planets in the latter degrees of Aquarius and first 3 or so degrees of Pisces, the last degrees of Libra and first of Scorpio by trine.

Planets in the last degrees of Leo are feeling a need to compromise with another.
 Neptuning is in progress…

Neptune is squaring the early degrees of Sagittarius, including North Node.  Internal friction causes action, so trust the process, show up and that Neptune sextile Pluto Rx will open doors….though it may not be the door you are currently looking at.

Sun into Leo

Sun into Leo – ta da ! – will vibe up the fire of Mercury Rx and both trine Uranus Rx, so good news is likely on the way from strange corners – including your inner bells and buzzers – yes indeed – ding – you have mail !

Leo Sun is quintile Libra Mars giving an extra shove to any actions you need to light a fire under, particularly creative endeavors, as Sun rules Leo and is powerfully creative here !  Mercury Rx is quintile Saturn as well, so perhaps a quiet, but productive day is in store.

Entertain yourself ~ Moon is squaring Gemini Venus & Jupes most of the day.  Hint: Virgo moons are great for organization and nitty gritty nitpicky crap, trust me on this one.

Virgo Moon’s square to the benefics in Gemini separates around sunset (8pm) CST, USA.  So relax, loosen up, and play – Monday promises to be quirky and fun !

Manifestation Station

We have a fun weekend in store !
Sun in the last degrees of Cancer brings feelings to a culmination point in that house.
 
Sun enters Leo Sunday the 22nd, 5:01am CST, USA

Sun will play with fire and join Mercury Rx in Leo.
Uranus Rx in Aries is fire, North Node also in fire – Sagittarius.

Mercury Rx trines Uranus Rx , is quintile Saturn … expect messages from the past, discoveries or radical solutions – especially when you least expect it.  Creative ideas, solutions, actions plans will unfold in front of you with this astro.

Mars trines Venus and Jupiter in Gemini so is it any wonder the chit – chat, even if only inner dialogue is pumped up and on steroids ?   Mars sextiles Mercury, so there is some real creative problem – solving to be found in the quiet moments – brainstorms will erupt ! 

What I mostly want to mention is this :  
Neptune Rx in super fresh Pisces home waters is the dream reality – our earthly link to the cosmos and vice versa.   This is the manifestation aspect – Mars action closes in on Saturn in Libra – which trines Neptune – Manifestation Station… !  

Dream it then BE IT !

quicksand

Praying mantis on grape tomatoes, I took the pic. All living growing things in my garden.
Praying mantis brings messages of stillness, patience, balance and intuition.  Contemplation before action. 

This has been a week of totem animals. 
Iridescent wasp delivered construction communication and progress. 
Elephant ( an animal intuitive saw one near me ) brings strength and patience.
Late one evening on a gas n sip ice cream run, I nearly ran over a skunk.
Skunk is a pacifist, while still strongly protected and effective.

It is hotter than bejeebus here, over 100, feels like a zillion.
Most of the US is in drought.  Poor kitties in fur coats are miserable.
I am going to lay down in the cool basement and watch zombie flicks.

First a mantis picspam.
They are so interesting and alien like, yes ?
Pluto ruled.  Predatory.

I am calling this Uranus Rx on my natal Saturn Rx (chart ruler)
the quicksand transit.
Merc Rx (my natal MC) feels same.

May as well just hang tough, right ?!
Cultivate patience.

Octavia the Younger
Dark Cancer moon, so time for a tribute to Mothers, guardians and caretakers.

Octavia’s step brother was Augustus, Rome’s first emperor.  Her great-uncle, war hero Julius Caesar wanted Octavia to marry politically, yet she was already married to Gaius Claudius Marcellus. Octavia gave birth to 3 children from that marriage: two daughters and a son. 

Two months after the death of Claudius, twenty-nine year old Octavia was ordered to marry Marc Antony for political reasons.  Octavia gave birth to a girl while Antony was at war with the Parthian Empire.  While on campaign Antony fell in love with Cleopatra.  Seven years later, he divorced Octavia, and within the year was defeated at the battle of Actium.  Cleopatra and Marc Antony committed suicide, leaving Octavia responsible
for their children.

She did not remarry, choosing instead to educate Marcus Claudius Marcellus, the two
Claudias,(her children with Claudius) the two Antonias, (her children with Antony).

She also served as guardian to the children Marc Antony had from his wifes Fulvia and Cleopatra: Iullus Antonius, Alexander Helios, Cleopatra Selene, and Ptolemy Philadelphus.

That’s nine children.

One of the most prominent women in Roman history, Octavia was respected and admired for her loyalty, nobility and humanity, and for maintaining traditional Roman feminine virtues. (wiki)
Octavia means eight: purpose, control, strength and power in regeneration.

She is asteroid 598. 
Asteroid Octavia is currently at 24 Libra conjunct Saturn at 23 Libra.

 Iron Man, Ozzy Osbourne

A new friend (microbiologist) asked me to look up Ozzy and expound upon his longevity as found in the OZ natal chart.  We had a curious discussion about Ozzy’s career, a near fatal crash on a 4 -wheeler, hams flying across the fence at loud neighbors, and Ozzy’s genome being studied.  See the TEDMED genome talk here.  Speaking of his resiliency, hilarious as usual, Sharon says, ” I have always said, at the end of the world there will be roaches, Ozzy and Keith Richards.”

I like Ozzy, an old friend of mine was an Ozzy / Sabbath freak so I grew up hearing lots and lots of him.  All my Ozzy is on cassette and a bit draggy, the one Sabbath record I had was so party worn it was in another bands sleeve with a piece of notebook paper slapped on the front that said Sabbath in black sharpie.  I know who has it – did it start their vinyl mania – ? – haha I like to think so.  x

Well, of course, for longevity, it helps to have a decent amount of Capricorn or Saturn.  He does.  Mars tightly conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn and Moon (not conjunct).  All three trine Saturn in Virgo.  Mars is exalted in Capricorn, while conjunct Jupiter which expands what it touches – Ozzy has energy and a lot of it – Mars in Capricorn is like time -release capsules of energy, lol.  It means stamina and energy over the long haul, climbing Denali type obstacles one step at a time.

Ozzy is a Sagittarius with Mercury and Chiron oriental (rising before Sun) both of which square Saturn which causes friction and restriction with the mind (Ozzy has dyslexia)and ego – negative thinking, tendency to melancholy, low self- esteem that sort of thing.
(In the TEDTALK above, Ozzy mentions a hindered sense of smell, which Mercury rules.)  His ace in the hole – Pluto the metamorph trines his Sagittarius Sun from Leo, he has heart and the strength of will to overcome any difficulty through perseverance.

Drug use, well that is Neptune square Moon and Mars in Capricorn, and Capricorn is long-term.  Clean and sober now, Ozzy has survived 40 years of abuse.  Neptune sextiles Sun and Pluto (which trine each other), so the opportunity to pull through and regenerate is right there in his natal.  Sun is life – trine Plutonic regeneration.

Scorpio Venus sextiles Moon, Mars and Jupiter in Capricorn; as well as Saturn in Virgo.  Obviously Sharon is a major positive influence in his life, he credits her for saving him when she offered to become his manager in the late 70’s.  Ozzy’s Venus trines his 29th degree Uranus in Gemini.  Hilarious.  Venus (wife, Sharon) tossed a leg of ham (odd and frankly hilarious) at the neighbors (Gemini) for being loud and annoying.  Classic.  It’s here if you wanna watch – F bombs galore, etc… – nsfw, this is the Osbournes after all, so fair warning.

Also Ozzy’s Uranus in Gemini is a help to the Saturn square to Mercury because Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, placed in the sign Mercury rules.  He is communicator, albeit an unusual one, known for being a bit eccentric.

Case in point: When transiting Mars was coming to conjunct his natal Neptune (Jan ’82)which squares his natal Mars and Moon, we had the bat incident.  Mars is bite; Uranus, bats (sonar + flight), Neptune is illusion – and Ozzy bit the head off a bat someone threw onstage and had to undergo a series of painful preventative rabies shots.  It qualifies as something Uranian, or unusual, and the rumor (Gemini) was a wild one !  Neptune sextiles both his Sun and Pluto – so he did garner one hell of a rep, lol.  Ozzy thought it was plastic, ( Neptune, oy ! bad Neptune ) bit the head off and of course, Uranus rules surprises !  Poor guy, you know afterwards his Mercury square Saturn wonders wtf was I thinking ?!  …eh, everyone makes mistakes. !

Uranus in flux is good for giving stuck situations a ZAP  of rapid fire energy.
 This means situations / relationships on the ledge may be getting a shove off the cliff.
You can always count on surprises with Uranus – it is the snap from one polarity to another in a heartbeat.

Check your house of Aries for incoming power, check your Capricorn and Cancer houses for incoming internal struggles.  Check your house of Libra for those people and situations you will be compromising with.

Uranus in flux while in trine to Mercury in Leo and in opposition with Mars in Libra – both square Pluto in Capricorn : be creative with love and money morphing.   Chance of tossing out a verbal zinger, so let Venus conjunct Jupiter have the Gemini thought reins before the fire in your communication octaves urges you to say something you regret.

Rethink your energies and how you use them.  Hone your intuition, be quietly innovative in your Aries house.  Soon Saturn will be in Scorpio and energies will be focused and intense.   Zoom in on your psychic energy and your perceptions of your person – crank up your protective skins and skills.  Uranus & Mercury shifting will bring the goods !  Thoughts become things…

Today I stumbled upon a Tanran Reiki page and it is a fascinating read  about the energetic relationships between people.  The dynamics of resting within romantic relationships and each other – fabulous.  Take the time, it’s insightful.

I know with Sun conjunct Uranus I need to pass the hot potato of power back and forth with my partner – not at all interested in someone running my show 24/7.  Also not interested in dealing with those who walk around thinking they know everything, give me a break.

For instance, I recently showed my neighbor all the catnip showing up in my front yard.  He says: ” I don’t think it’s catnip.”  GM: Pretty sure it’s catnip, I looked it up.  Neighbor: I know catnip when I see it – it is definitely mint, but I don’t think it’s catnip.  GM: I’m pretty sure it’s catnip.   
Just then my genius girl cat saunters up and starts gnawing on it with a few extra licks for dramatic effect.  lol.  He says, “Well, maybe it is catnip.’ 
[ya think ?!  sheesh.]
