Bram Stoker, Irish novelist, was best known for his 1897 Gothic novel Dracula.
A quick look reveals a very interesting chart, that dead on nails his most popular work.

This is the cool thing about astrology – once I learned it, I realized everyone instinctually gravitates towards work that is aligned with their natal chart vibration.  We do our best work in our highest natal groove – we know it inside and out – what we create is natural and free-flowing because we have lived it.  Our work rings like a bell of truth.

Lunar longing rising from a deep well of feeling a need to be protective of and nurture women – opposing marriage (Juno) – squaring  (inner obstacle course) freedom (Uranus) and the untamed feminine (Lilith).  

Dracula is an epistolary novel, told partly in letters between the characters of the book – it is fittingly Cancerian: old – fashioned and sentimental – family letters are a familiar safe haven.  Yet, it is also the perfect foil – peeping into someone’s mail or secret sex diary and hitting pay dirt.

Bram was cracking the repression code on the prim and proper Victorian era – obviously they loved their sex, but it was whispered in secret behind the parlor door. Dracula, and all he stood for, was repressed and forbidden – so of course the women swooned.

Juno (traditional woman / marriage) and Jupiter (ceremonial marriage) form a T-Square with Pluto (death, sex, rebirth) as focal planet.  Jupiter opposite Juno in Capricorn: time, lineage, being the Big Blood Baron with a trio of brides bound (Saturn) to the master of bites through blood.

Blood is Jupiter ruled.

Bram also had an amazingly strong Venus – in Libra (rules, strong) conjunct North Node of Destiny – and Lilith the Bitch Goddess (non traditional rebel wife demanding equality) – all sextile Mercury in Sagittarius (visionary publishing); and all opposing Uranus Rx in Aries.  Animal natures is the common root that binds all earthkind, flight or fight is primal, instinctual, as is the desire to survive in whatever form we find ourselves.
Uranus in Aries: unusual biting proclivities and wearing a mask to hide an ancient evil.  Uranus in Aries opposite Venus in Libra: curious attractions and shocking love surprises.

The Sexual Healing aspects, so interesting – the need to possess and control followed by the bite followed by complete surrender to the instincts (Moon) that overwhelm the body (Saturn).

The kicker I saved for last.
Asteroid Lucifer 1930 in Leo forms a Grand Fire Trine with Mercury in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries.  Damage control : do not freak over the Lucifer asteroid –  it is the representation of the fight between good and evil within all of us.

Obviously passion and impulse reigns in fire signs.  Leo is creative romance, willpower and gambling with both.  The willing, passionate exchange of power in moments of intimacy is not only mutually revitalizing, but also mutually healing.

Bram had Scorpio Sun / Moon trine Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces – bonds of love that cannot be broken by time or space.

Bram’s kite puts a sextile between his life path of creative writing (Libra Venus, bohemian Lilith) and his visionary ideas revolving around the light and dark in all of us.

Venus in Libra = comparison contrast.
My mind is on how love feels through my Neptunian lens of the zodiac

I have made time with Uranian types…every time I was in the vicinity of one in particular it felt like I was holding onto a LIVE WIRE.   Good I suppose if you are into thrills and chills, but if you don’t like it you’re in for a ride until the current passes through you :: it lets go of you, you don’t let go of it. :: Uranus Venus contacts in the natal can be shocking, jolting, and begin / end in a hot firecracker lightning flash.  

Venus / Uranus contacts in synastry will be the spark and undercurrent needed to keep the relationship blood thumping and pumping – the heart is electrical, after all.

How does love flow for Venus Neptune people ?

I have an 8th house Leo Venus square Scorpio Neptune.  

My particular Venus Neptune aspect equals immersion, illusion and often delusion in love.  Upsets, shocks and surprises (Neptuner on 11) followed by faerie tale glamour, and what I call the fishie flip / flop: crystal clear insight / inability to see clearly – and who knows which one it actually is …?

Slipping through the net, evasion / persuasion is all part of my love life, or former love life that is.  I am the happily single mystical hermit jedi chick.  

Through years of suffering the low side of Neptuner, I am now acutely aware of how I need to use Scorpio power to metamorph inwardly, rather than wring the life out of someone in my clutches.
Scorpio desires. Venus attracts.  I stopped craving the illusion, and instead found reality through Saturn – metaphysical research and this work in progress you read here at GMA.

Well this has certainly been an interesting set of transits . . .woke up this morning five minutes after I am supposed to be at work.  Safe to say Scorpio boss found this Toro Full Moon a tad disagreeable to his Sun.  Toro just shy of full  Moon opposition was sliding in between Sun and Saturn the boss planets  opposite in Scorpio right when I woke up.  Seriously.  Can’t make this shit up.

Venus popped into Libra (my MC – career) opposite [omgwhattimeissit !?! oh fuq I’m late] Uranus the awakener in Aries, the Mercurial Trickster just bounded into Sagittarius and a square to Neptuner the sleeping princess aka good morning astrology !

SoOo…this is gonna be quick.  I was running errands, the wind picked up, walking meditation kicked the brainpan into high gear, some clarification on yesterday’s post and some new quickies…

First of all, didn’t want to give the impression that D.C. or NYC or anywhere else in the east needs a good energetic clean anymore than anywhere else on earth.

What I did mean by cleaning is :

Gaia is TCB ( takin’ care of business ).
She IS 70 % water, after all – intuitive, emotional and she IS communicating.

The Vishuddha is the throat chakra – it is blue, Mercury rules.

Mercury squared Neptunian seas the moment it entered Sagittarius, the sign of visionary teaching and SEEING the UNIVERSAL TRUTH.

Gaia IS alive – she is just vibrating much more slowly on the electromagnetic spectrum than humans.  See Pangea and earth evolution on a former post here.  This superstorm hurricane Sandy is helping to keep the oceans thermohaline circulation working properly – it has to keep moving or we’re all screwed.

GAIA IS IN CHARGE of cosmic checks and balances – she is flat out showing the boss planets Saturn conjunct Sun in Scorpio WHO REALLY HAS THE POWER.

Not governments, not corporations rife with greed, not politicians, not the famous ‘reality’ show bullshit advertisement avalanche we are buried in – none of it.

It all comes down to accepting our place in the fabric of earth time – humans are but a teeny weenie blip in earth time.  There have been FIVE MASS EXTINCTIONS on this planet.   Humans have managed to do more damage in far less time than any other species on earth – ever – in 4.6 BILLION years.  Sobering, yes ?

Mercury into mutable Sagittarius fire, folks.  Duality and change-ups naturally associated with Mercury will be kicked up a notch or two in a mutable sign.

Mutable signs indicate changes, adaptability ::: they are the go-betweens, the social set ::: passing the baton from the outgoing Cardinals to the stable Fixed signs.

Ahhh…a light fluffy frothy Venus whipped into a perfect curly Q with sprinkles.

Sweets, scents, art, beauty, friendliness, charm and diplomacy all sit sweetly in the Libran parlor.

Venus loves to freely flit and flirt in this intellectual, communicative AIR sign, her home – she rules this house beautiful.  She is polite, polished, matchie- smatchie, and wants you the same.  Her sense and sensibilities will suffer greatly if a fugly shoddy – or horrors !  outdated ensemble should stumble across the doorstep on date night. 

She is bubbly, outgoing and honestly enjoys the company of others – the exchange of ideas and concepts revolving around art, social equality and how to balance and beautify everything is a sure-fire win.  She is in love with love, romance is key as is being thoughtful and considerate.

Librans can be incredibly indecisive – fair warning – they often like you to choose dinner and arrange plans so they won’t have to fret over it.  I had a Libra friend that looked at 7 painted color swatches on the wall for years – at last visit – still no choice.

They are great minglers at parties, the hostess with the mostest serving up a smile so sweetly.  They are emotionally straightforward and will work to keep a relationship running smoothly, they dislike chaos and discord.  Saturn is exalted in Libra – fairness and stability in a mate is especially treasured.

ode to martians

Hello astro fiends, how is everyone holding up ? Streamlining Super Scorpy Powers…?… working out the kinks in the psyche, that sort of thing ? 

I have known for ages that I am not the astrologer for everyone, I deliver a rich dense gumbo: layers of earth, science, mysticism and oddball dark intensity – oh, and I will also drown you in music, obviously. 

My former moniker (one of many) was Lady of the Link, so you will find all sorts of links shooting you off somewhere else because above all I am curious.  I want to learn – and I want to share what I learn with you.

I have a friend who has lived a life in constant comparison with another, when for me it is just the opposite.  I have always been told I am too strange and why can’t I be more like so and so, or more normal, or everything I am, create or like is different.  The juxtaposition between us is bizarre.

I know what I think, and therefore write, will not appeal to everyone – I am fiercely stubborn and independent (Toro Moon, Sun conjunct Uranus) and will be doing it my way.  Take it or leave it.
