Neptune rules diseases that are hard to diagnose, (<~can testify to that) drowning, string instruments, film, fortune telling and divination, geysers, harems, hashish, holy water, hypnotism, jellyfish, kundalini, liars, LSD, migration, nets, oil, osmosis, paradise and the penitentiary as well as pseudonyms.
Can be high holy or low locked.  Hollyweird.

Neptune rules the pineal gland, romance, sea, seances, sirens singing you a shipwreck, swamps, telepathy, toupees (!), utopia, vapors, visions and voodoo, waterfalls, yeast and yogis.

For those curious …Yes… Neptune has rings.

This Voyager image shows the three main arcs in Neptune’s Adams Ring.
The Liberty arc is near the lower edge of the image, followed by Equality and Fraternity above it.  A fourth, fainter arc, called Courage, would be just ahead of Liberty.

Elemental & Energetic

My energy has tanked the last few days – Mars & Pluto activation, etc.. soOo I finally took a night to mummy up in soft fuzzy blankets, lay around with my kitties and read ~ utter bliss !
Finally finished The Key (click).  It was a fabulous read with unique spiritual and environmental perspectives.  I marked a couple of things to share.  (You might want to read my previous entry to get up to speed on the book. The direct link to buy it is at the top of that post.)

This first bit refers to the precession and the ages of man. 

Whitley: So how are we to approach God ? What is the nature of this infinite being that resides in every grain of sand ?

The Master of the Key: When you say God, you think of somebody outside of yourself.  You think as the age of worship thinks.  Over the last age, that of Pisces, the elemental body was changed by this process of worship.  It is not the same as it was two thousand years ago.  Now the receptacle is larger.  Now each of you can contain all of the universe.  That was not true then.  Now this is a species of sacred beings.  But you are babies, still ignorant of your powers.  The last age was the age of the external God.

This is the age of God within.

Whitley: What is real religion ?

The Master of the Key: From outside of time, man’s effort to know God appears as a single form, a work of art that has evolved across history.  You have created it in three phases.  The first is negative, the age of sacrifice.  This is why the Old Testament God is so terrible.  The moment that God tells Abraham not to kill Isaac is a record of one of the most sacred of all human moments, for it sets the stage for the next age.

The second age is positive, the age of worship.  This is why the God of the New Testament is full of compassion.

Your present age is when man and God become one.  You find in yourself Christ, Buddha, Allah, Krishna.  In this age, the elemental body has evolved to the point that it has the potential to reflect divine ecstasy.

Interesting, yes ?

The Master of the Key:  Heaven is a state of being that intensifies the spin of every electron in the body.  It is a music that begins in the root of being.

The Master of the Key:  Evolution is pressure.  Pressure causes struggle.  Creatures struggling not to be destroyed evolve adaptations.

Cosmic Neptunian reading, yes ?  It is a book filled with thought – provoking conversation, definitely worth a look.
Be aware The Master of the Key speaks of us ‘choking on our own garbage’ and the ‘evil of secrets’ perpetuated by those who are the control behind  government officials.  If you are looking for sunshine and rainbows, some of this book isn’t for you.

I do find it interesting that The Master of the Key mentions being thankful for the shadow for it is the teacher.  God is everything – All One.  Evil is NOT the way, but it shows the way.  Darkness is what the Master of the Key calls the ‘compassion of God’, its very existence reveals the light.
Sounds like a weird concept until you think of  Yin yang.

There is no bad karma – all karma is good karma, for even the ‘bad’ karma has worth, for it is the teacher – the enlightener.

The elemental world may only find communion with the energetic world by releasing fear.  It is fear we must transcend.


Oppositions and squares in the natal chart are what cause us to grow.  They push and pull us – forcing us into action.
The same can be said of conflict between two charts. Challenging synastry with another who pushes our buttons will force change.  In order to relieve the difficult aspects, the internal (square) or external (opposition) stress, we create solutions, we compromise, we find balance – we evolve.

3-day Solar-Geophysical Forecast issued Jan 21 22:00 UTC

Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be low through the period
(22 – 24 January) with a chance for an isolated M-class flare.

M-class flares are medium-sized; they can cause brief radio blackouts that affect Earth’s polar regions. Minor radiation storms sometimes follow an M-class flare.

Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels until late on day 1 (22 January).
Activity is forecast to increase to unsettled to active levels at around 22/1800Z and continue into day 2 (23 January) due to the expected arrival of the halo-CME observed on 19 January.
There will also be a chance for minor storm levels during the CME passage.

Field activity is expected to decrease to quiet to unsettled levels on day 3 (24 January) as Coronal Mass Ejection effects subside.  A coronal mass ejection (CME) is a massive burst of solar wind, other light isotope plasma, and magnetic fields rising above the solar corona or being released into space

Uranus is odd.  It points to the odd in the natal chart.  Whatever it aspects in the natal gets a ping-zing of quirk.

Uranus is known as the awakener.   It is eccentric in natal chart operation and in orbit.  The poles of Uranus are perpendicular to the ecliptic (orbital path around the Sun) which means it kind of rolls around the sun on its equator.  Each pole will experience a 42 year day, followed by a 42 year night.

(Yes, Uranus has rings, and no they are not red, this is an infra-red camera pic.)  The reason Uranus appears such a vivid blue is the atmosphere absorbs all red wavelengths of the visible spectrum, preventing it from bouncing back into space – all we see is the blue-green spectrum of color.

Saturn (terra firma, being grounded) is the traditional ruler of Aquarius.  The root (security) and sacral (desire) chakras are in the red color spectrum they are primal and personal, (represent being grounded).

While the blue color spectrum is the 3rd eye (intuition, pure communication) and is seeing the BIG PICTURE – it is more of a tribe vibe, being open to new possibilities, and innovations.
Uranus shifts between the two in an instant.   Grounded to ether !   Snap !

Uranus is by nature an energy shifter.  It shifts perspectives, vision and thinking like a lighting bolt.

Uranus went retrograde on July 9, 2011 – direct motion reboots things stalled at that time.  Also look to your house of Aries at zero degrees, this is where Uranus goes direct.  Pay attention to the same degrees of Libra (opposition, others and compromise) and Capricorn and Cancer (squares, the inner tension) for where to expect groovy energy downloads.

Uranus goes direct with a quintile – that’s a gift, a talent – the spirit quest – to Venus, the planet of love, art, beauty, kindness, self-worth and values and oh yeah…the green thing, money. $$
Actively engage a shift in these areas – that’s your talent, so use it.

What Uranus will bring up is anybody’s guess, it is the wild unpredictable the free and untamed.
Bend rather than break ~ be pliable, resilient and kind.

Retrograde motion is when the planetary energy is turned inward, direct motion energies pour outward.  The few days prior to either are usually amped up a bit, lol.  You may tweak – fair warning !  Just keep in mind others are tweaking too – particularly those with Uranus prominent in the natal ~
when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Uranus rules astrology, wireless, telepathy, inventors, the eureka ! , and magnetics.
Uranus’ magnetic field is odd in that it is not centered on the center of the planet and is tilted almost 60 degrees with respect to the axis of rotation.

Since Uranus rules magnetics, polarities (positive and negative), and higher thought – be aware of what you draw to you by thought – for thoughts become deeds.

Because this Full Lunar eclipse is in Gemini (rules hands) I am leaving you with some info about mudras !

There are various hand positions used in both kung fu and in yoga. The hands in kung fu often form shapes that are representational of animals. The tigers claw, the snakes head or the cranes beak are all traditional shaolin hand positions. In yoga the hand gestures are called mudras. A mudra sometimes is a symbolic shape similar to the ones in kung fu, yet more often they are energetic connections being made in the nadis or meridians. By connecting fingers, or pointing certain directions we direct energy and link up specific channels to generate a particular set of internal resonances. The hands are vitally important to the brain. There is an equal amount of cortical tissue dedicated to the hand as there is to the whole rest of the body. By engaging our hands, our breath, our bodies, our focus we awaken our inner sense of awareness and unify ourselves.
