She gave him a smile and in turn
he crafted a planet out of her.
He piled her fears deep under ground,
and covered them with soil
so dreams, like flowers, would bud.
From her tears he created the oceans,
waves of sorrow and joy.
Her sighs turned into wind,
and her screams,
of passion and anger
gave birth to the thunder.
She was the Earth,
and in turn he perished
and became the moon.
Forever cursed
to orbit around her.
